no. we'll just call the next ones next next gen.
I just got around to watching slayers, On episode three right now, so far it's been pretty good. that blnde guy sure could use a few more IQ points.

Just wondering here, would it mean that Project Natal for the 360 and the PS Move {IDK the name} be considered next gen?
Speaking of videogames adapted to anime, I just got my hands on Street Fighter II, {the uncensored one, of course.} and the Street Fighter Alpha anime movies. Best $20 I've ever spent.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

No, referring to them in any other manner infuriates me to the point that I uncontrollably scream obscenities and racial slurs at anyone within my vicinity.

Maybe you should stop trying to derail this thread of the Anime topic before it gets locked

Can we quit with the Street Fighter crap and talk about anime for once?
Chartfag just released a layout of the Summer 2010 lineup.
Care to lend your opinions?
I personally don't see anything I've got my eye on.

What's Street Fighter?

High-school of the Dead is becoming an Anime
That's pretty cool

High-school of the Dead was a pretty good Manga
Though it's only been running for about 50 or 60 some chapters I think.
It's rather generic and it's full of fan service but overall the characters are good enough that they aren't annoying and it has lots of guns and blood.
It's worth a shot that much is for sure

I would be more drawn into the idea if it felt more like a more traditional zombie fiction, otherwise no sale.
It's a lot more like Dawn of the Dead, Dead Rising, or Left 4 Dead
It's a zombie survival fiction. It has the neat element of them gathering resources and using wits to survive. The story and the characters just don't have a lot of meat on them.

Speaking of which, what should I watch after I finish Cowboy Bebop? I was considering watching Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I've heard mixed views on it. There's the one half that says it's one of the best animes ever made, then the other half that says it's a pretentious and overrated piece of crap. What's your view on it?

I think Bokurano is a lot better. Its another anime where kids are controlling a giant robot, but its a lot sadder, since the kids take turns piloting the robot and everytime the battle is finished the pilot dies.
I have tried watching NGE 2 times, but i got bored of it on both times.

That is really cool I loved that manga but I stopped reading it because Xamayon got lazy : / .

That is because in Japan, this is considered more relatable and a lot more appealing than some 35 yr old, washed up somebody chasing some crazy murderer. Shonen Jump has a huge influence, not only in Japan, but throughout the world, so chances are, if one anime creator/director creates a mega-hit {Naruto}, another one will be coming in fresh off the studio to our TVs and DVDs, {Bleach.}
None of these seem to be taking many risky, innovative material. The zombie fiction anime seems intriguing to me though.
I would agree with you somewhat, but the general demograpic for anime for most places outside Japan is around 13 to just below 30. Although series like Hellsing and Monster are able to attract some of the younger demograpic, even if it is generally filled with gore and sexual references.
Also, is that another new Digimon series? I thought they already released one in Japan not too long ago, unless it's that one.
Oh dear god, Digimon was a rip-off of Pokemon, and a bad one at that. If they did release another season, It was more than likely, a futile cash grab to milk the series more than nessacary, Inyuasha, i'm looking in your direction about this.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Hey fellas, I know I'm not a familiar face around these parts, but I just wanted to toss my two cents.
I just finished Kurokami today (the dubbed version - the English voice acting was superb compared to your more typical examples, imo), overall I really loved it. I could say a ton about it, but what I was really impressed and enthralled by was the character development and the plot. I didn't really like the battle system at first, seeing as Keita's role was so passive and he himself rubbed off on me as being so wimpy for a good portion of the episodes - but later I grew to appreciate it more as he grew stronger and became more committed and involved in the struggle. But most of all, Kuro really made the anime. Just her personality and her character as a whole was simply uplifting and kept me on my seat. A cute girl who's kind, loyal, and loving, and can kick some serious ass at the same time? Can't beat that, amirite?
The ending was also wonderful and I'll try my best to avoid any spoilers. The resolution to it all was so bittersweet, it gave me chills.
Personally, I'd highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't watched it. Normally I'm not much for the fantasy genre from past experience, but Kurokami really changed my perspective on things. I just might have to pick up the manga, and that's going completely against my nature (as I'm not much of a book person in any way, shape, or form). It just left that big of an impression on me.
God, I'm still kinda feeling all floaty from the ending.... (@____@)
Happily ETS'd.
Sup guys. Elite walkin in. Anybody here since the old days? around the early 2000's?
Anyway. I rarely get on the internet. Can you guys recomend a good anime to view on animecrazy.net?
I dont want any gay shit now. Something real good.

Kaiji, the best anime ever.
Or if you've already seen it, One outs is available on that site too.
In addition to watching Bleach and InuYasha, I'm watching Cowboy BeBop again. Spike is one badass mother fucker.

Due to it being by the same makers of Cowboy BeBop, I'd recommend Samurai Champloo. I've been meaning to watch through the series myself.
Anyone planning on going to any conventions this year? I've just ordered my tickets to "Animenext" and can't fucking wait.

Considering that a moderator was just in here yesterday to tell you guys to cut it out, I thought you could take the hint. If you can't help yourself from filling this thread with crappy one liners, off topic ramblings and other such crap, we'll just lock it.

The Anime Club doesn't need to be as shit as you think it is.
It is only recently that it began this mindless terrible posting again.

Yeah, I was actually really surprised to find out that the main character was voiced by the current voice actor for Sonic. Who would have thought that it would have been possible for him to do a good job for once?

Why stop at this topic when the entire BBS seems to be composed of such brilliance?
My crew was in exactly this situation and we blew it. Four years of being a part of that club, and it got locked just like that for being too spammy. I'm not trying to suck up or impose, that's far from my motives to post this. but I'd hate to see one of NG's longest running crews get shut down because of the same mistake I made with the NGPD. It was such a simple error in judgment that could've been avoided.
Happily ETS'd.
