Nerd means smart. He is a geek not a nerd. Also I think all they are trying to say to you is at least put a little bit of effort in to your posts, and check for grammar/spelling errors. It isn't that hard, and it really doesn't take much time.

Alright dude

Probably nothing. Currently watching Spice And Wolf. The English dub is absolutely awesome. I can even get past the name "Holo." It sounds cute, though I prefer Horo. But yeah, Holo/Horo/whatever is wolf waifu. This is a awesome show.

Due to your liking of Death Note and Elfen Lied, check out: Serial Experiments Lain, Paranoia Agent and Monster. Also the movies Ghost in the Shell, Perfect Blue and Akira.
If you like Spirited Away and Howls Moving Castle, I'm sure you'd like Miyazaki's various other movies, check out My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke and KiKi's Delivery Service.

(I've yet to see Blue Drop or Gunslinger Girl so I've no recommendations to give you regarding these two.)

I finished R.O.D the TV series. It's a good thing I stopped and watched the OVA before continuing past the episode where Yomiko is introduced. It was pretty cool. gonna start Michiko to Hachin eventually, as well as the Golgo 13 series.

Oh, am I being pretentious? Because I was under the impression that we were here to talk about anime and have interesting conversations. Clearly I was wrong and should act like a moron making inane spammy comments instead of actually discussing anime. I'll do that now LOL BUTTSEX! KONATA-CHAN IS SO MOE HAHAHA BUY HARUHI DVDS!

Seriously dude, fuck off. You have no right to give me your smug attitude that I am a pretentious asshole. Excuse me for wanting to contribute the discussion of anime. Excuse me if I want to go a club I am fairly active in and see people having a fun discussion regarding anime. Not see unintelligible ramblings or bullshit spam comments. I am perfectly fine with both the a limit. But i'd like to discuss anime. Something I am positive you haven't discussed in a long time. Infact, the last few times you've posted here there was really no discussion of anime and I honestly don't think you should be posting here if you can't contribute to the topic. Really you're just are acting like an antagonist more and more and it's something that you should be made aware of. Cut that fucking shit out and contribute to talking anime for fucks sake.

I am not the best example either, but I atleast I talk about anime. So I really don't care for your ad hominem attacks and your general attitude in this topic. Excuse the white knighting but I really care less for your bullshit.

None of the shows that you named were 'cancelled'.

They just made all of the episodes they wanted to make.

Except Inuyasha, which has another season being made.

Oh for fucks sake.

I didn't know everything I say was going to be dissected and ridiculed.

I'm done talking to you, as I would actually like to talk about anime and not argue over the context of the meaning *cancelled*.

Also, if it isn't painfully obvious, I'm pretty new to anime, so I'm working my way from the popular stuff to the less popular.

Moving on, I recently watched a few episodes of Gungrave and thought it was pretty bad ass. I'm not sure how many episodes of it there are, but I watched the first two and will probably be watching more when I get time.

Anyone here watch Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood? What is your opinion thus far?

I think it has started pretty well, I just hope it doesn't go downhill as the series progresses.

I was also going to ask if anyone has any suggestions for me? Like what anime shows to check out. I'm pretty much into everything, unless it's extremely feminine and like I said I'm pretty new to anime, so having some suggestions for what is good wouldn't hurt.

It was a joke, dude.

The sentence that you wrote was very pretentious, and I felt like calling attention to that in an over-the-top manner.

But hey, you are right. I hadn't realised it but I've just been an arsehole in this thread. I'm not actually hostile towards anybody in the thread, but that's definitely the way my posts have come off.

I haven't actually watched any anime in a while. I haven't had the time. I might check out Planetes sometime soon; I've had my eye on it for a little while.

I've only seen about the first 5 episodes, but I dropped it right off the bat due to it having a terribly rushed start.

I was just really annoyed that they just wanted to plow through as fast as they can so they can get on to the new material. And personally, I found the first FMA series to be great, I see no reason to watch this one for now.

It's just more retreading to please fans, I find. Although it's getting a bluray release this summer, so I might wait 'till then to check it out.

I was also going to ask if anyone has any suggestions for me? Like what anime shows to check out. I'm pretty much into everything, unless it's extremely feminine and like I said I'm pretty new to anime, so having some suggestions for what is good wouldn't hurt.
If you want a good show to follow, the one I just mentioned in my previous post should be your best choice. R.O.D., Kure-nai and Darker Than Black I recommend as well.

I loved the original FMA as well, and yeah I can see why you'd say Brotherhood is rushed. Waiting for it to come out on blu-ray may be a wise choice, because then you can watch the whole thing in one sitting, without having to wait. Might have bonus features as well, worth checking out.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'm *in the dark* when it comes to obscure animes and really don't know where to start. So I thank you for recommending some and if I can find the episodes and either stream it, download or find it on Dvd I'll check it out. Honestly I don't know where to look for those episodes. (lol)

@Aigis
I apologize, it just sounded like you were just looking for some reason to argue.

Sorry I was harsh to your words. I do realize Inuyasha is still around and I wasn't really implying it wasn't. Just was on my list of some I've seen.

Also, does this club endorse the discussions of hentai shows? It's still anime, but before I start talking about it, I want to make sure it isn't against the rules.

Cheers.

Sure, but usually there's very little to discuss so it doesn't come up often.

I can count the number of hentai with a decent narrative on one hand.

However, La Blue Girl remains one of the best bad-good things I have seen.

I love the direction that durarara is heading in right now. Everything's starting to come together, and the main has finally grown some chest hair. Assuming that the main is the new student and not headless waifu. forgot his name.

Very glad this isn't 13 episodes, it gives much more time for character development. And frankly I enjoy Durarara!! much more than Baccano!

I agree that it's better, but much better might be pushing it.

I original saw this series back when I was around 15 and found it to be just about the greatest thing ever. It's a very strange Anime. The closest I can compare it to is Paranoia Agent and perhaps the movie "Perfect Blue." There is much left up to the person to interpret. I generally come to a bit different of a conclusion every time I watch through it.

So, I found a shounen that I've never heard of before called MAR heaven. It's a run of the mill shounen, but it has its charm when you see the 16 year old male lead getting drunk. If anyone here enjoyed hunter x hunter, you'll probably like marchens awaken romance as well.
