Yeah, I watched it. Cool animation, well written characters and has a solid grasp of baseball.

And if the anime itself is already bad (Inuyasha, Naruto, etc.) then I figure the voice acting is more likely to be bad or annoying. I think you got to think about what these people have to work with. Imagine standing with a mic in front of you, looking at a screen with Goku pumping his arms and squatting with a grimace on his face for like 5 minutes.

I think the story of Castle in the Sky is great and I bet the animation was amazing at the time it was released. I just really loved the story line in Ponyo. It is just cute and heart warming; it makes you feel good. And the animation was just so unique and well made. Castle in the Sky would have been better if the animation was less uniform. Maybe if it was remade today I would prefer it over Ponyo.

I'm not really a big sports fan, but so long as a story is told well, it would be something worth watching. Any homosexual undertones also wouldn't be anything to prevent me from watching it, such instances often add more depth to a series.
Still, you've mentioned it drags on, which while a negative, isn't something that necessarily ruins a show. (I hate to say it, but there are many Anime that do this.) I've only a few episodes left of Beck Mongolian Chop Squad, and found there to be many instances where the series slowed to a rather unnecessary churn, still it remains one of my favorites.

I never really liked Death Note. First time I heard of it I saw some chick with a jacket of it, I asked her and she said "Yeah, it's a cool anime show".

Curious, I looked out for it and saw it on one night and watched. It sounded cool, but to me had no substance. I'm more or less into old school anime, because what I like has long been canceled.

I use to watch Trigun, Outlaw Star, Rurouni Kenshin, DBZ, Afro Samurai (personal favorite) , Gundam Wing, and Inuyasha. The only anime still around is Inuyasha and I only watch that from time to time. I watch more animes, but I thought I'd mention a few popular ones.

I like to think of that as fandom. I cant even tell you the names of most real actors I like let alone voice actors. But i can recognize voice consistently most of the time. I also prefer the american Voice overs with the Literal translation SUBS. I find the american voice actors sound more pleasing to my ears.

Most anime shows I like are canceled, not all. I enjoy a few newer shows.

So, I just saw evangelion for the first time in 3 years. I get the ending, mostly, but what I don't get is HOW the whole synchronization bullshit happened. Like, there had to have been some sort of trigger. Once episode 25 starts, the world before then is basically like it hadn't happened, which kind of threw me off. There had to have been some sort of switch someone pulled to start it. I think I'm going to have to watch the movies. Hopefully they'll clear some shit up for me. You could really tell that they were running low on budget in the later episodes, which was a huge letdown for me. The religious, philosophical, and psychological symbolic undertone, however, was genuinely interesting when it wasn't just a cross shaped dumpster.

I also don't understand what exactly the people who are talking while under the human instrumentality project actually are. I'm not able to tell if those are the real people's souls and wills, or if they are simply a reflection of whoevers been instrumentalized (SWEET WORD BREH). I haven't seen this anime in years, and I now recall why I was so confused years ago. Anyway, I doubt anyone who comes here hasn't seen it, but if you haven't I suggest you check it out.

I too enjoyed it. The style wasnt over the top or mixed or ever half assed. It was solid and consistent to the very end. The whole necrolzye thing was even believable except for Bloody War. He was the only outlandish thing to me in the entire series. Granted he was more of a foreshadow for what the Superiors were gonna look and act but once he took the stuff I just saw a heroin addicted Blanka.
Also his outfit for Beyond the Grave seemed a little hooky to me. Looked better when he went with jsut the trench coat look

Nerd means smart. He is a geek not a nerd. Also I think all they are trying to say to you is at least put a little bit of effort in to your posts, and check for grammar/spelling errors. It isn't that hard, and it really doesn't take much time.
