I wasn't trying to say it doesn't exist.
alrighty then. a liar is not you. There is a lot of bad dubbing in anime, though, of course. It depends on the anime. And if the anime itself is already bad (Inuyasha, Naruto, etc.) then I figure the voice acting is more likely to be bad or annoying. I think you got to think about what these people have to work with. Imagine standing with a mic in front of you, looking at a screen with Goku pumping his arms and squatting with a grimace on his face for like 5 minutes.
It is like if you go up to the average american and ask them who is your favorite voice actor he probably couldn't tell you a single name.
I dunno. They just might say Mel Blanc or Billy West or Phil Lamarr or Maurice Lamarche or Dan Castellaneta or even....Seth McFarlane
Why would you say the average Japanese person cares more about voice acting? because the anime industry is so big?
I honestly didn't even know Pans Labyrinth was in theater in the US.
yup. as soon as the talking started, people left.
I don't like watching films at the theater.
really? I love it, unless the other viewers ruin it.
I think the story of Castle in the Sky is great and I bet the animation was amazing at the time it was released. I just really loved the story line in Ponyo. It is just cute and heart warming; it makes you feel good. And the animation was just so unique and well made. Castle in the Sky would have been better if the animation was less uniform. Maybe if it was remade today I would prefer it over Ponyo.
cool. been waiting for the chance to see it. I thought Laputa was great, though. It would be hard to top, although Ghibli already has...but I mean...to do it again. yeah.
