Cool, I've been contemplating giving it a real watch as well. I haven't been really watching anything Anime, although I have volume 1 of Ghost Slayers Ayashi around here, I'll need to finally pick that up and give it a go.

I finished re-watching it. I am glad I did to because I am able to understand a lot more of it now that I am older; like I am able to understand the human instrumentality project, the concept of Adam, the secret of eva, and the moral dilemmas . It was also just nice to rewatch something that I really enjoyed in my early childhood.

My only problem with Neon Genesis was that it began to drag on and become boring near the end.

I'm watching Serial Experiment Lain right now... it's some pretty weird shit but god is it interesting. I still wonder how she got all that equipment in her room.

Since you guys have been talking about Neon Genesis Evangelion, I've been wondering, is it worth watching? I've heard extremely mixed reactions about it. Some people say that it's amazing, but I've also heard people say that it's overrated and pretentious. Anyway, I just want to hear your opinion about it.

I will say this for the last time. It is severely over-rated, and it's incredibly pretentious and tries to be deep with the amount of biblical references it has. It's nowhere the level people claim it too be and I find the mech designs to be a bit ludicrous. I say watch it, but don't expect it to be the best anime ever.

I agree that it is overrated. It is a good series and it is worth watching. There is nothing in it that is going to blow your mind I just love it because it was my first anime and it makes me think back to my early childhood. Also its not really a mech they are pretty much controlling over sized humans. There are not too many biblical references.

Just because I said I am torrenting a anime series it does not make it warez. I may own a license then it is completely legal for me to download the series so it is not warez. I did not discuss how to download it I just stated what I used to download it. I also don't use bittorrent is not the only way to torrent thats just one application. In your post you probably made it obvious without a doubt that you where obtaining it illegally and you not showing your face for two years was your choice. No one talks about pirating anime without repercussions stop bitching I don't think anyone really cares. If I broke the rules by saying I torrented a anime series I am sorry. Two things about that:

1.) There's a rule about character gender. If you are a male as your profile states, then you may not choose a female character. There was a guy who chose Ranma Saotome, but that character is male by default.

2.) I think it's a moot point. If memory serves me right, we stopped choosing characters when the thread died down too much. Our characters were used for roleplay and a group of founding members (including myself) all chose characters from InuYasha.
I still remember the heated conversations in character between Inuyasha (Wonko) and Kouga (LLStarks) with Kagome (Tink) in the middle trying to keep the peace.

First and foremost, when I intially joined I chose a female character... Nana Osaki from NANA to be exact... no one seemed to care. I believe Gendo was Akane Tendo too. But yeah, no one really gives a shit about it now.

Unfortunately, InuYasha was absolutely horrible... but that was what... back in 03 and 04. But yeah, I still have the random anime character roleplay thing for the lulz.

Also, Rei Ayanami is a horrible character who I have little empathy with.

Anyway, I have decided to watch that Queen's Blade show... ugh... I am not gonna make it through this show, and I watched Elfen Lied... that reminds me, I have to see how awful that Higrushi show is.

So I just spent about nine hours straight watching the first 26 episodes of Ghost in the Shell SAC. I really enjoyed it but I was wondering, is it worth getting into the next 26 episodes? Also how did Motoko survive getting her head blown off? Was it her dummy or something? Someone should recommend me another completed anime series. I made a list of some stuff that I like a couple post back.

Yea I know a lot of what I listed was shit that's just because I was struggling to remember ten good animes I watched. Why a lot of them that I have watched where on TV is because I don't know what anime I will like that's why I want some recommendation. And about Highschool of the Dead I meant to put that by the bottom of the list because I didn't really like it much but it was okay. I don't really want to get into mech I have already obsessed over Eureka 7 and Neon Genesis Evangelion long enough. I also don't watch them on TV I watch them on my laptop. I just watch what I have heard of. Watching TV is not much of a option these days.

I watched a while ago I didn't really like the dubs. Then I watched the subbed version. I thought it was a good show. Eureka looks ugly though. Her forehead is to big and that vein thing from when she was going into that wall is ugly. I like her wings.

We stopped choosing characters when nobody was roleplaying. Also a memberslist of who was who got to be a headache. No one uses that wiki of the rules anymore, although I still try to enforce some of them. Like no direct statements of piracy, most of us know how you "obtained" your anime. Was I ever Inuyasha? I was Vicious, I remember that. I don't recall ever liking Inuyasha. The show or the idiot who took that character. Remember, the first time I left the club was because that fucking show was all anyone here would talk about.

I remember making a conscious attempt to like that show, since I kept seeing how fanatical its fans were and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

I rented the first DVD, watched those episodes, and thought that the show was a bit crap. Then I heard people saying that it got better after the first few episodes, so I rented the second DVD.

I couldn't even finish watching that DVD.

Though that's not quite as bad as when I rented that Final Fantasy show and couldn't even finish watching the first episode.

I've been watching Desert Punk lately. It's a good anime so far. The "OMG BOOOOBS" is getting a bit old, though. And the animators seem to think that human breasts are exactly the same as water balloons...and possibly sentient beings. Anyway, I'm definitely digging this show.

I used to like that show when I was in the sixth grade, but looking back on it now, it was pretty fucking terrible. Oh well, it's not like I knew anything about anime way back then, pretty much anything would have entertained me.
