Still going on with Ideon, though at a slow pace.

good good. glad to know you're still alive. cleaning out liquor bottles is all in good fun. makes a bit of a collection you can show off friends and brag.
I also need to shove my yakisoba in the microwave.
heard good things about those noodles. shame there isn't a good japanese restaurant around here. nothing but fast food and 'home cooking' places.

The back stories of the secondary characters episodes were probably the weakest of the series.
Especially the guy with the eye patch's one. I don't remember his name.

How about people here show some otaku stuff they own? It might be interesting.

It'd be great if instead of just asking that, you posted some stuff yourself.
I own a fucking ton, to the point where I don't even quite want to take photos or write it all down. It'd take way longer than something like that should need.
Ugh. I raged hard today.
Rumiko Takahashi's new manga has been announced.

So, it's basically the same shit she's been pumping out for years, which a whole new group of 14-16 year old girls will go insanely fangirl for, even though it has no end in sight and when everyone is finally tire of it, there will still not be an actual ending?

Yep.
Thanks a fucking ton, Takahashi.

Ok, can't afford shit, and that kind of stuff is pretty rare here. ANd ordering from japan would be a) expensive b) kinda sad.

I'm not saying don't watch it, I was just saying that the secondary character back story episodes were the worst of the season.

I'm enjoying Armageddicon IV so far. It took me quite a while to find the hotel they moved to, but I managed to get in without missing anything. I didn't have a huge line to wait in for my badge this time; something I could never say for Ohayocon.
On Friday, I started off in the Dealers' Room, which was a tent in the parking lot, and picked up two sexy wallscrolls for $12 each and a figure of Izumi Sawatari from He Is My Master with a soft rubber chest for $25. After that, I attended the Opening Ceremonies, which became an impromptu break dancing lesson while the hosts stalled for time.
The following panel was "Distraction", based on the Comedy Central game show. I was one of the four contestants, but got knocked out in the first round; the food round. We started by wearing swim goggles with onion in them, and had to eat onion, cinnamon, lemon, wasabi, habanero peppers, some nasty candy, or any combination of the above when we buzzed in to answer the questions. I tried to eat one of each all at once in the tie-breaker and couldn't manage to swallow it. After using the provided barf bag and washing my hands thoroughly (and my shirt a little bit), I returned to watch the rest of the show. Chris, a guy who offered me some "liquid courage" was the winner, coming out with an intact wallscroll of Faye Valentine in her bikini, another Cowboy Bebop wallscroll (GE 1428) cut in half perfectly to make two decent wallscrolls, an L plush doll run through with a sword but otherwise okay, and a couple of things that were utterly destroyed.
I went to a couple of smaller panels after that; one about the science of anime and why giant humanoid robots would never be a practical solution, and the other involved holding anime characters on trial. Kamina from Gurren Lagaan and Gendo Ikari were found not guilty, and Knives from Trigun, Dante from FMA, and 4Kids were all convicted for their crimes against humanity.
Haruko Nogawa, secretary to the "God of Manga" Osamu Tezuka, came here from Japan for her first appearance at an anime convention, but they put it opposite "Whose Line is it Anime?" Last but not least for opening day, "Your Favorite Anime Sucks" was fun, despite the hosts railing off so much about things other than anime, such as the couple who brought their 8-year old kid and a baby to a panel filled with coarse language.
On Saturday, I cosplayed Guile and played Street Fighter IV in Training Mode to practice his moves. By the end of the day, I posed for half a dozen pictures, one of which was with a guy dressed as Ryu; I really wanted to do a mock battle with him, but all he did was dress the part. At high noon, Dante's execution was held in the Upper Terrace, the con equivalent of Town Square. There was a cheap figure of her made of paperboard, and I think someone put a little candy in her because it went flying when we tore her apart. After that, I watched the ambitious attempt to recreate "Legends of the Hidden Temple" with a sci-fi twist. There was an "Anime Fight Club", but despite all my efforts I wasn't chosen to participate. I went back to the Dealers' Room and found a Street Fighter IV Ken action figure for $24. It's amazing that we have the same first name, blood type, and love of pasta. I spent some time watching the funniest episodes of Abenobashi, Planetes, and Gurren Lagaan before going to the Protomen concert. There was a lot of hype, including the hour-long rally on the terrace at 7, but I got bored waiting for the band to take the stage so I called it a night around 8:30.
Today, I'm wearing my tabi and going to four panels: "AnimEaster", "American vs. Japanese", and either "World History" or "Staff Picks" before catching the Closing Ceremonies.

On second thought, screw it. It's Easter and I'd rather be at home for dinner with my Mom, Dad, and brother.

I stopped reading here because my blood was starting to boil and I was afraid I'd end up smashing my monitor if I continued.
For some reason, I suddenly want to rewatch Zeta Gundam.
Probably because I'm too unethusiastic to watch anything subbed.
Whatever, wouldn't hurt to see it for a fifth time, since it's brilliant and doesn't get old.
Should probably finish ZZ first, though. Only got like 12 episodes to go and now the srs biz is starting to go down. I must admit, some of the more bizarre parts of the series is where the appeal lies, I don't care much for the plot or most of the characters, but any show with this much senseless woman beating HAS to be good.

They should have never been allowed to vote, I say.
Bleh, exam week coming up, after that, I can start watching shit more regularly. Oh, and get a job for the summer.
The second ep of FMA:B is pretty awesome in its own right.
The show is introducing a lot of plot points very early.
I watched Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. It was very good. The only issue I can think of was the whole quote thing between Togusa and Batou. "(insert famous quote)" "sure, but (insert famous quote)" "ah, but (insert famous quote)". Shut up, you pretentious twats.

The main issue I had with the movie was that I found it incomprehensible.
It just felt like a bunch of long conversations about nothing thrown together with some amazing art.
And then some shit happened and I was confused.

Mamoru Oshii tends to do this.
He'll take an established story, then drown it in unrelated symbolism you'll only find in other stories.
The entire Bleach community is raging right now at the latest spoilers for chapter 354.
And I'm just laughing.
SPOILERS AND I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP!

It starts from Ulquiorra's flashbacks.
It's a figure of Orihime slowly disappear (as he's turning to dust)
He is thinking a lot of things like If I cracked you guys' heads would I be able to see it? If I tried to open your skull would I understand?)
(The writer skips it)
Is this a heart?
The opening page is Ulquiorra.
The scene goes back to Yammy.
The huge reaitsu from above fades away.
Did Ichigo win...?
Yammy: Ahh... I was trying to help you, but you got beaten up in the end.
Three of them talking: "He's only number 10 so we can win..." It seems something like that is going to happen
Yammy enrages and releases! Choukyotaika (means something like turning to a giant)
At number 10 of Yammy, 1 disappears and leaves only 0.
I'm a Espada whose number is changed after the release!!
Who said Espada is number 1-10?
Actually it's 0-9
Three of them are astronished.
The scene changes to Hitsugaya
He's being pushed down
So a captain is someone like this. It's your time to die.
Finish

This is yet another reason why Bleach sucks and why Oda, Kishimoto, and Kubo share a huge cocaine stash.

Anyway, can't say before I see it, but that sounds kinda familiar from some works.

I'm glad I got out before it was too late. I stopped after they broke into the Soul Reapers' base to rescue Rukia. Is it true that after all that effort to save her from execution, she didn't even go with them?
So, I have started watching Casshern Sins today. I am not sure whether I like it or not; it's a really dark story, and, as I am only at episode 4, I understand nothing of it. It has something intriguing though, and it keeps me interested.
Has anyone else seen the 'new' Casshern series?

To be fair, I actually thought they were designed by CLAMP, as the characters extremely resembled 'people' from Code Geass.
