I watched a few episodes of it.

I liked the episode where about 90% of it was taken up by still images accompanied by humming.

It was basically like anti-humour, but it worked somehow.

Though it does have a bit too much of that explanations of jokes that I see far too often in anime.

You know, like when someone says something silly, and it's obvious that they said something silly, and then another character has to point out exactly how what they said was silly. That sort of stuff irritates me.

Still pretty cool, from what I can see.

Finished volume 3 of Black Lagoon.

Dad is angry that I haven't gotten more and that the disc only had 4 episodes.

Anime store that I frequent disappeared, so I dunno what to do, since I don't know if it's being renovated or it's gone. I'd go to another place, but it's a fucking rip-off. 79.99 for GTO semester one? Get out of here, fuck off. I saw it at my good place for 49.99.

gahh.

Dad did say he'd chip in next time. :D

OH GOD YES! Freddie was the best was he not? Not to mention all of the random humor that is EVERYFREAKINGWHERE.

Head's up about the 5th Hellsing OVA. Who's gonna watch it? I am!

Goddamn it Johnny, those are like two of the best animated films out there(Not quite, but both are up there). Need to watch it now, really missing out.

It's a bit late to start now, I'm just finishing Zetsubou Sensei (jesus, when did I start watching it, three moths ago or so? slooooowpoke), I'm out of town some part of tomorrow, and then going to a gig, but Sunday seems free.

I don't remember who is translating the manga but I think they might be on volume 5 or so.

Trailer out for it yet?

It's a shitty trailer but the first one to come out and the only one that I know of.

So watched Kiki's Delivery Service.

<3

Only thing that bothered me was that the ending montage should have shown if the painter finally finished the piece. Otherwise, the movie was maybe the best one I've seen whole year, counting The Dark Knight.

Fun fact, the architechture of the city in the movie is modelled after Stockholm and Copenhagen and generally after Scandinavian cities. Also, the forests are also obviously northern, with birches and everything. it's just beautiful, Studio Ghibli are just plain awesome.

I did. It's not exactly the best anime I've ever seen, but it's okay. The video game, however, is shit - dialogue will make you wish you were deaf, and gameplay gets stale after maybe a couple of minutes. If you have a PS2, steer clear of it.

Satoshi Kon has to be one of my favourite directors, animation or not.

I'm looking for an anime movie that I watched a long time ago but I can't remember what it was called. I can remember that their was a girl that power over paper, a women who could go though solid objects, I think there was something to due with Beethoven songs in it. I think the movie started in Washington d. c. with the library of congress or the white house being blown up over a book. I can definitely remember the president pissing his pants the few times he was in the movie.

So was that enough information for someone to tell me what the movie was called.

Besides Sailor Moon, that's the first anime I showed my dad to kind of get the ball rolling. :D

Although we're going to start something non-anime soon--we planned on it since the first few episodes of Bebop. :D

Johnny Quest, fuck yeah.

Man, I still got a shitload of anime to get through. I'm in between so many, and I got lots to still watch. ughh.

I've been paying a lot of attention to artwork in anime lately, namely, lines. I noticed that in old production, lines were thicker, and more rigid, and in more modern productions, they flow more natural. Just an interesting observation.

But I have no desire to be Japanese myself.

Do the "know Japanese words" ones count when I take Japanese as a subject almost exclusively because it's easy to get high marks in?
