I'm not sure how old this news is, but I recently heard that Leonardo DiCaprio will produce and star in a two part live-action film based on the anime Akira. Tetsuo will be played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, that guy from 3rd Rock from the Sun. How do you feel about this classic, groundbreaking anime being adapted by the same guy who did Titanic?

I've been watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (finally). I've had the whole series for a while, but hadn't bothered watching it until recently. It's kind of silly, the English dub is pretty bad, and it's full of hokey dialogue. But I wasn't expecting anything deep with great dialogue coming from something with a title like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It's pretty cool so far. I've been enjoying it. Although the show doesn't seem to focus on Jotaro, who is supposed to be the main character. Oh well. But yeah, it's a badass show. ORAORAORAORA!

The dub is awful, but the dialogue is actually pretty good (well, in Japanese) in the last six episodes (the first few episodes sucked, too much CG).

The anime covers a tiny piece of like sixteen volumes worth of the manga.

A lot of Jotaro's best scenes get left out.

Found black lagoon; the second barrage online and am currently on episode 23.

So far my favorate episodes are 11, 12 and 16-18.

There are a few brief winks in regards to Revy's past, but nothing is every revealed about Dutch.

Well, I'm back from Korea. Re-watched Ah! My Goddess' (I hate that show), and I watched fully half of Tekkonkinkreet before giving up in utter disgust. Supposedly next week I might be leaving again. For the States this time.

I found the plot to be dull, the characters two-dimensional, and the animation passable at best. The only thing about that movie that kept me watching so long was the amazing background art. Halfway was when it lost it's charm to me.
