Mess? What mess? Things are the way they alway have been here. Off topic talk, image posting (now larger!), and of course the inevitable talk about touchy-no-no stuff.

First the site gets a remake that's semi-okay and I can't even get a name change proper anymore. Now my Codi Milo profile pic is gone and the sigs took a dose of via-fucking-gra.

Well that has nothing to do with this club then, so I have no clue why you are complaining about it here. And the name change lock has been in effect before the update.

...did everyone get the spoiler images from the same place I did????

For anyone who has read the Akira manga, I'm sure you'll agree that it's way better than the movie. I thought that the movie's ending sucked compared to what the Manga has.

Plenty more chapters being a good reason why.

But I am sure the animators had a lot of fun making that mindrape-fest back then.

I'm sure the manga has way more room to expand on its story.

Comparing an over 2000 page total manga with a little over 2 hour long film is not a particularly good comparison.

Film makers have to condense some things when adapting larger books to the movie screen, and the result isn't always perfect.

Nevertheless, Akira is still a good film, and I was entirely fine with its ending.

Manga, no contest.

More plot, more characters, more depth to the Colonel and Ryu, better ending, etc.

Anyone who had external sources would easily grasp the meanings as they tell you in a no-shit way, so no shit. <_<

I was referring to the 'impact' that kind of animation had at that day and age where computers were capable of sending people to the moon but was still incapable of animating large-scale movies.

And no, you do not need a lot of processing power to handle a single moon landing OR it really was faked.

So according to Wikipedia there's going to be a new season of Haruhi.

"The second season of the anime series was first announced in a full-page advertisement of Asahi Shimbun on July 7, 2007 in Japan."

Do you think this could work well for the series, or ruin it?

I personally liked the ending presented in the first season, but I suppose it's basing itself on books, so it might be good

Well anyway, what are your opinions?

Oh, and I apologise if this has already been discussed, I didn't see it otherwise.

I don't remember this whatsoever, so it never happened.

I remember discussing a possible new series when it wasn't announced, however, and I think you were saying you didn't want one.

But I may be wrong about this.

I guess he likes the series that much...?

Also. How many of you have seen the Tales of Symphonia OVA? I watched it earlier this morning finally and I'm quite satisfied with the quality of the animation and what happens. It follows the game half and half. At least we saw Lloyd's dad Dirk in all his dwarf rage swinging around a hammer.

Okay, as far as I can tell there has been no discussion of the confirmation of a new Haruhi season.

I remember there being discussion of the possibility of one in the past, but from my ctrl+F of all the pages since July 7 there has been no talk of the confirmation.

But yeah: Second season confirmed.

If you are so stubborn for an answer, then fine.

Chances* are that I would like a series less if its 'sequel' either has not enough 'timespan' in between (e.g. six years of production difference between Gundam and Z Gundam) or its sequel was forcefully delivered.

There is always something about animation differences which makes the show fresher than before.

* The FMP Series being a rare exception.

Pffft, powering themselves up is actually hurting them. It's not like DBZ where people ridiculously power up and fire fucking lazer beams out of there ass every 5 seconds. (Though, I liked DBZ, it was far from serious, and the battles rage far too long). Claymores who 'power up' as you say get fucked. You're behind Kisuke.

ah someone said claymore and berserk in the same sentence now's my chance!! i've been reading claymore for i while and must say i like it , berserk however ( the manga ) i find of little intrest

, Way too much ' dude who looks like he played in hills have eyes tortures and rapes a whole family to death before guts tortures his ass to death .'

BUT someone i once met later on claimed berserk the anime to be ' the greatest anime of all' that's a rough statement to make ,so i wonder ? does anyone have confirmation of this greatness ?

also is claymore anime any good ? i love the way the girls are drawn with the strange foreheads and eye's its a look ive never seen before do they use it in the anime too ?

Imma playing mah DS. Jump Ultimate Superstars to be specific.
Not sure if it's the right step or not, but Jojo character playables need to be unlocked through more extensive methods unlike Dragon Ball, Hokuto no Ken, Eyeshield 21 or Naruto.

And before anyone asks, yes; one of Kenshiro's special attacks does cause instant death after a short countdown, let alone broken in terms of melee-based doom.

Though I have not tried out the higher-level characters, the Panels you get to test out (event) have specials that are good with hitting many targets on one side of the screen, though they seem to be easily replaced by the Hokuto and Naruto characters' normal attacks in the second half of the game.

I saw the opponent's Johtaro usage (Panel level unknown right now) and it looks like the specials can be used to guarantee ringouts.

Not really, since we get the dub, if it was subs, then it'd be a moot point.

Here's just praying the main characters aren't horribly miscast....

I am not a manga/anime specialist, but Naruto is certainly the best series I've known so far. It has the emotional intensity of romance, while combining actions and moral code of friendship and essential relationship issues. Lots of characters have deep and unique personalities, and make me want to compare Masashi Kishimoto to Shakespeare for his understanding of human psychology.

The world of Naruto itself is an imaginary one amalgamating a lost ideal traditional Japanese world of ninja (and samurai), with strict moral codes and feudal wars, with elements of modernity such as television and cup ramens. There are no cars or concrete roads, no sign of Westernization or contact to the outside world, even though the technology and school system are unmistakably contemporary. Houses and ninja techniques are purely imaginary, which adds charm to the atmosphere.

Definitely worth a watching/reading.

amiright?
