I don't know why we're discussing past user names, but I'll join in. The only other user name I've had on this forum was a two-week stint as "LPmofo's-Bitch" what with LPmofo being a regular user here. This was before C&C existed. The first club on NG was the ADG, which wasn't really a club, just a hijacked thread. The first actual "clubs" were the Latinos en Newgrounds and the Final Fantasy club. It was the immense popularity of these two threads that spawned the bitch of C&C, and the infamous Club-A-Club Club.

Well I was tired of studying, so I decided to watch some SNL Digital Shorts. I tried to find the Dear Sister sketch, but there were way too many parodies to find it on youtube. Though I found some anime parodies:

Dragon Ball and multiple Higurashi parodies

Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.

This is anime related enough for me to get it off my chest here.

Also, there are slight spoilers for whoever would want to see this film, though only stuff that gets covered in the first half hour.

I just watched Hard Candy, a film about a pedophile.

The film was absolutely repulsive, and took itself far too seriously, but I found it entertaining and I enjoyed it. I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone, unless you like torture porn (Saw and the like), or you're just really curious (like me, but only because I had to find out why it had "Sadistic cruelty" on the censorship sticker).

But that's not my point.

Throughout the entire film I could not shake the feeling that it was reminding me SO MUCH of Tokyo Red Hood.

Specifically, Tokyo Red Hood book 2.

For starters, there's a little girl (well, she's 14, but you get the idea). But not just any little girl, this girl is representative of the idea of little red riding hood, even up to the point that she wears a red hoodie, and has the hood up at several points. So far, it's slightly similar to Tokyo Red Hood.

Secondly, there's a pedophile. This bumps it up in similarities.

Next, the little girl WANTS to go see this pedophile, and willingly goes along with him, and though it makes it out at the start that she doesn't know he's a pedophile it tells you she knows within 15 minutes, so this isn't much of a spoiler. This is alot similar to the idea that Red Riding Hood is wanting to meet, and get eaten by, the wolf (in a sexual manner).

Then finally, the little girl gets revenge on the pedophile. This much just tipped it over the end, and made that pretty much all I could think about for the rest of the movie. And if you don't know what I'm talking about for the relation to Tokyo Red Hood, then...

In short, Gaia is just as useful as a newly made BBS using a starter kit.

If you watch through the whole thing you will see exactly why the killers are evil. On a higurashi forum, I saw a thread where it showed how each arc was connected and why each person/persons are evil. It also shows how the game in the first episode always shows exactly what's going to happen.

Masterpiece in my opinion

Well, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Tokyo Red Hood is once again being translated, since the person at Blahsoft finally has a job or something.

Thank fucking God...

Friend of mine borrowed fuckloads of my animu yesterday (R.O.D. The TV and the R.O.D. OVAs, Lupin The 3rd, Ninja Nonsense, School Rumble, Boogiepop Phantom), and somehow he's miraculously managed to watch all but a few episode of R.O.D. and Lupin, so I'll have it all back tomorrow.

I saw up to somewhere around the 15th episode.

I just think the writers were trying to make them far too evil, though.

I mean, absolutely everything they do is absolutely completely and utterly morally contemptible.

Yeah, it's evil to the point of being gratuitous and silly.

The maniacal laughter, crazy eyes and endless gore shots wear thin on shock value and just get boring.

Evil for the sake of evil was what it felt like, and anyone can write a murder mystery like that.

Well I spent a good portion of today getting through the Naruto Shippuden Accel (Narutimate Hero 4) RPG and Hero modes. I just did the basic stuff in the RPG mode to get the characters and Hero mode unlocked. Hero mode is basically just going through the arcs up to the timeskip..very boring, since there are few battles and mostly cut scenes/talking. But you get the 4th Hokage and numerous things unlocked.

I was about to write this game off as being worse than the 3rd. Since you start a battle with 1 special available and you have to go below 50% life to get another. Until I found that Taunting can activate many characters' specials, like Lee/Gai Gates, Hyuuga Byakugan, Sakura/Tsunade Stength, Kakashi Sharingan, Itachi Mangekyou Sharingan, etc. Those give you access to a new special attack and new abilities.

OMG at Garra's Taunt. He creates a sand cloud that acts like Goku's Nimbus and lets him float around. He can create a sand wave across the ground, shoot sand bullets from it, and make a giant Shukkaku hand rise from the ground. It also gives access to his ultimate special, which looks sweet. While inside Itachi's Mangekyou bubble, you can use a new special, which creates a burning black hole in the sky to suck in the opponent. And TenTen's ultimate special looks cool. She throws a long scross that arc across the sky and all these Kunais spawn from it and shoot down to the opponent. The sky fills with glowing green lights and the opponent ends up being in a pile of kunais, when two large chains fall on them.

So the game may not have many new characters, but the Time Skip characters are kick-ass and the attacks/specials look cool. This may be the best of the series so far.

Note: I'm talking about a GAME, not ranting about the Naruto Anime.

Oh Yay! I've been invited to join Youtube's Dai-Gurren Brigade!

I'd say they should just make the girls more chibi, but then it would probably just be more like Dokuro-chan....but serious, and I don't know if that would be funny, stupid, or stupid funny.

Lack of rotation can be a pain...
