It always feels better to sleep longer than get woken up too early. Alarm Clocks are the devil. I wonder how much it would cost to get a hooker to wake me up every morning with a quick bj...

Anywho...waking up early sucks.

Not to mention disturbances such as Jetlag, something which I have not gotten over quite just yet (blargh).

I'll give it about a week to rectify itself.

So I started watching the Irresponsible Captain Tylor. Man, that show is awesome (as of episode 4). He took down the enemy scouting party of about 4 ships with luck!

ICT SPOILER**************************************
**

They accidentally warp to the enemy location after his ship gets mutinied. Then he freely hands over the information regarding the location of the main battle fleet. And when the enemy commander is leaving, Justy gives him a present, that he didn't know was a bomb. So when the enemy commander opens it, it explodes, and his ship to crash into another, which malfunctions and all the ships destroy each other.

Victory!

One of the enemy captains said the key to winning a war was good fortune and if that is true......

ICT END O SPOILER**************************************

A lesson from Wonko to all of you:

1) Red Bull and Vodka is very tasty, but will get you very drunk and very hyper.

2)I'm so damn drunk I can't remember what I meant to put here.

3) It took me five minutes to type this, and the lack of spelling errors is only due to Firefox's spell check function.

4) I remember what two was. Hyper-sensitive gaming mice and drunkenness do not mix well.

What exactly caused the failure in your reports? Mine all came out along the lines of setting off their own world dominating weapons on themselves, or more accurately, the one with blue eyes tends to set them off every time.

As for the second mouse, the noise it made before the trap was triggered sounded like "Phffffff-" something.

Brainiac says that eggs are the best food to eat for curing hangovers. Guess that's why the Prairie Dog could work.

Or you could just keep drinking! Can't get a hangover while you're drunk...I guess.

And Ha Ha. During last night I got all the Captain Tylor episodes, so maybe I should get the OVA episodes, so I have it ready when I'm finished.

PS: The Marines don't like the Pilots.

It gets worse for some, especially if it is trying to be solved with the same liqour of choice.

...

One thing I might have missed out while I was offline more often than note; now that the 'three basic conditions' are made, do they need to be followed-through when a recharacterisation process is called for or is there a different process?

Heck, are 'character aliases' even done now?

I don't think we ever discussed this. We don't really need to hear about all the stuff needed to join again. Maybe just ask "What anime have you been watching since you stopped posting?" Picking a new character/getting back their old character won't be needed.

Heck, are 'character aliases' even done now?

I think we decided to not do that anymore. I guess just the "older" members will get to have characters.

Fetched the second Hellsing OVA (as well as nice Rukia figurine) at Sydney Games today, totally overpriced ($34.95 for the DVD, $18.95 for the figurine) but well worth it in the long run since stocks were low (got the last Rukia, and the second last DVD) and there's the simple fact I'll likely never find them again on this crappy island.

The second OVA was totally mindblowing dubbed. I hated the Valentine Brothers arc in the TV series and manga, but the winning combo of stunning visuals and witty dialogue made this one stand out over the previous OVA (which had Anderson and some sexy animation, but very little story). The third is still my favorite, thus far.

I just finshed Death Note. (I have not seen the movie yet.)

I'm not sure if I liked that ending or not. I don't consider it to have been a bad ending. It was very drawn out, and overly dramatic in the style of the earlier episodes.

I far preferred Zombie Powder over Bleach, and I was also disappointed by the many flaws the manga had.

A Zombie Powder anime would flat-out rule.

Oh, and I've also found a place that sells Escaflowne in english for a reasonable price.

Fucking buy it.

The movies are fairly entertaining and have an interesting spin on the DN universe, but are far from "must-watch" status.

I didn't mind the ending compared to the rest of the bullshit that happened in the second arc.

Just watched the first episode of Claymore. Summarized review: Flawed, but promising.

The character artwork is unusual. When viewed straight on, the faces are blank and empty, even more than normal for anime. When in profile, more detail is shown. The background artwork is outstanding. The plot seems pretty generic. The soundtrack: Grandiose. With bagpipes!.

Understandable why he sort of half-assed it, but still, he could have just put it on hiatus instead of giving us a bunch of sub-standard BS.

Maybe when he's done with Bleach he could work on it...
But what are the chances?

Bleach will never end, so the chances are non-existent.

I started watching that too a little while ago, and I like it. If they did better with the boy that follows Clare around, it would be better. He kind of annoys me. The episodes with Teresa of the Faint Smile have been the best ones so far. Awakened Priscilla looks awesome, and now crazy Ophelia awakening will be cool.

Also the violence, though brutal, isn't actually all that gory. Like when characters get a tongue through the eyes & body, of someone gets their arms/head cut off. Recently Clare got her right arm and left hand cut off, and also had her legs cut off.

Well still watching Irresponsible Captain Tylor...around episode 22. Funny part when Tylor accidentally started recording over a porn tape that he was given, and told that if anything happened to it that no amount of apologizing would save him, and all the femals onboard come to confess their love for him, while he is to preoccupied with trying to save the video and cover the random video images on the tv.

That wasn't really a spoiler...since it didn't have anything to do with the plot, just a small part of an episode. Like I put warning when talking about defeating enemies, cus I wouldn't want that spoiled, but this was just a funny part that didn't have to do with anything.

Like saying in Inukami the bad guy shoots naked beams out of his nipples. Not really a spoiler, just a funny moment.

Apologies for double posting. I've watched some escaflowne, some more claymore, and Devil May Cry.

My reaction to Devil May Cry would be:
Bwuh?
Why?
But...
He...
That wasn't in the game!

This is what I'm like when I have access to anime. It takes over my damn life. My WoW characters will probably get kicked out of their respective guilds.

Watched the first episode of Samurai 7. It's good. Not outstanding. Different from what I was expecting, and wasted no time getting into the plot.

I am in complete disagreement with the case of Evangelion in its better form (a.k.a later manga). Or rather, you fail at understanding that as well?

I'm thinking broadcast. The first episode was a home made movie. The second has the first few weeks of high school.

Yeah, you're definately going to have trouble getting the story. It makes much more sense earlier in the series in chronological order. I think the home made movie was episode 7, and the real first episode was the episode you just watched.

The movie was episode 11 chronologically. There are 3 orders you can go buy, Broadcast (kyon), Chronological (Haruhi), or DVD.

It may be a little confusing at first to understand, but here is a chart. IIf you watch it through in Haruhi and Kyon order, you will probably understand why they mixed episodes around. Then you could rewatch it again in Kyon order, so you know what they are ttalking about in some episodes where they refer to episodes that haven't been shown yet.

Watching it in Kyon order, then just using the chart to learn the chronological order also works, since I'm not really one for rewatching something so soon after finishing it.
