Oh HELL NO! Sarah Strange did a much better job than Coxsucker.

i don't really know and care for the voice actors names. either way his first voice sounded horrible in my ears. He sounded way to young and high pitched. i found it annoying. But when it comes down to it i rather watch the Spanish dub over anything.

Speaking of bad voice actors

Luffy on One piece, good or bad?

I personally am not fond of the voice.

Yes, we were. I noticed HF did kind of get sidetracked from te main point.

You just described what Coxsucker sounds like.

His Ranma was an obnoxious whiny cunt, while Ms. Strange was substantially more tolerable.

The Japanese voice kicks ass though. Not to mention the fight with Crocodile was disappointing. They replaced blood with sweat, and Luffy was upside down instead of having a hook impaled in his chest. Not to mention the infamous hammergun and waterguns that replaced the real guns. You just brought back bad memories. :'(

Sarah's Ranma was more of a cynical asshole, and I liked that. Much better than a whiny bitch who yells too much.

I just plain don't like any of Cocks voiceover work.

Also i have now finished the OVA's and i loved every second of it.

You damn well better have loved every second of it.

Yup, only ones the "Anime club" in my school talks about is Narutard and blech...I mean Naruto and Bleach. Not even gundam which is a popular anime. Oh yes and they also talk about Inu-yasha. God, how could the greatest manga artist create such a bland manga? I mean, I cry inside when I see stickers Ranma and Urusei Yatsura mangas that say "From the creator of inu-yasha!". I hope she comes out with a new great series soon;_;

Response to Anime Club 2007-06-14 20:54:14

There was an anime club in my school but i didn't bother to joined. I showed up to one of their meetings but yeah all they did was watched the same anime movies i had seen hundreds of times before.

Same here.

What's worse is the fact those stickers are a bitch to remove without damaging the book, I can't take them of two volumes of Ranma (6 and 7) lest they rip the cover.

I hope she comes out with a new great series soon;_;

Will likely never happen.

Rumiko's used up all her decent and original story ideas...

I can't speak badly of her though. She is one of the best manga artists, and all though she did sell out with Inu-yasha, if I diss her I diss Ranma and Uresei. I have advice for those stickers, get a very thin butter knife and slowly peel it off. I have two Ranma sets in my house, the ones I grew up reading, which are in terrible condition but the condition makes me smile in a weird kinda way, and my Perfect series collection, which I bought as a graduation present last year.

Epic win.

Mine are mostly in good condition, except volume two. Which is dog-eared, has badly worn pages, nacho smudges and grass-stains (it was stuck in the bottom of a wheel-along travel bag with a hole in it a few summers ago).

Also, just watched the third Hellsing OVA twice (raw, then subbed) and I must say I'm amazed. The animation was sheerly amazing and it covers some of my favorite chapters in the manga.

*Minor spoilers*
Not to mention The Major has an adorable singing voice, and the Dandy Man's vicious ass-kicking.

The only thing that really ticks me off about a series going mainstream is the mass of people who start to hate it simply because it's popular.

But yeah, a 14 episode series is hardly going to be the new craze, like Naruto or Inuyasha or whatever, because there's hardly much for people to get as excited about.

I mean, with others there's a new episode every week for fanboys to jizz over, but when there's a short series, people liked it, then it stopped, I see nothing bad happen.

And anyway, it's a series that's sort've a romance series, I can imagine that would put off half the people who like big explosions and robots.

Wait...

Oh yeah, and there's the fact that I've already seen it, so I couldn't really care less about how it's whored out.

i have never understood this thinking. How those an anime becoming popular diminishes its value. An anime becoming main stream has never bother me. I don't know why it should bother you. I mean the director/writer etc makes an anime and they want it to become main stream. Thats their goal to get their name know for making good work.

Perhaps the same can be said of all fads.

But yeah, a 14 episode series is hardly going to be the new craze, like Naruto or Inuyasha or whatever, because there's hardly much for people to get as excited about.

But in Japan's case, they had the novels and comics which practically made the animated series an extension and not the 'main force', so to speak.

You will get the regular cult of idiots who cannot tell between good and bad, as well as those who cannot take jokes on their series 'just because'.

I mean, with others there's a new episode every week for fanboys to jizz over, but when there's a short series, people liked it, then it stopped, I see nothing bad happen.

Which is why fanworks exist you know.

And anyway, it's a series that's sort've a romance series, I can imagine that would put off half the people who like big explosions and robots.

You think the /m/embers are that one-track minded as you think they are? Or are you oblivious to the fact that even Mecha shows involve romance.

And in before G Gundam's climax.

It only 'diminishes' in value due to bad marketing such as the infamous hellspawn known as 4kids due to Pokemon's popularity.

I finally got Baoh from Netflix. It probably sucks, plus it's only 50 minutes, but I rented it expecting nothing more than some fun, mindless violence. Sometimes I'm in the mood for that kind of thing, though most of the time I look for a genuinely good movie with a good plot.
