Well, Baoh yet again has the "very long wait" status. I guess I won't be seeing it for a while.

That's a good show. I have the whole thing on VHS.

By now, your comparison to anything done by 4Kids would be asking for a reply along the lines of "NO SHIT" or "YOU DON'T SAY".

I've seen both seasons of Those Who Hunt Elves (TWHE for cool people). It's really funny, but don't expect any kind of ending to the show...and some plot holes. Like at the end of one episode the island they are on sinks and they are saved by giant dandy lion seeds, but there is no sign of their tank. Then in the next episode it is back.

A pretty good review quote: "With the charcter development lacking with good action and comedy elements this is a good anime to throw in the DVD player, invite over your friends, pop some popcorn, and turn your brains off."

I hope it'll be retroactive too - When Funimation makes a One Piece DVD collection, I hope they fix the episodes they weren't in time to work on for TV. I've heard rumors that they'll even make an uncut Japanese version DVD set.

I never really get the idea of buying television shows on DVD.

I myself would probably never watch a TV show on DVD if I bought it, maybe like once when I buy it, then another time in a few years etc. etc.

Watching a full television series is too much of an undertaking to be doing too often for the same one.

In doing that I can easily just save money by renting them.

I haven't even watched the movies I have on DVD that much, with the exception of Spirited Away and Laputa Castle in the Sky, because my Japanese teacher keeps making me bring them to class every so often to watch when it's at the end of the term, or a bunch of people are away or something.

I've stopped that since he lost my copy of Laputa....

I just saw the Riki Oh anime, Wall of Hell. It was a very condensed version of Riki Oh and the ending was very different from the Hong Kong live action film.

SPOILER

The main antagonist, whatever his name was, didn't turn into a big monster like in the movie. I never read the manga, so I don't know how it happened in the original story. some other little things were different. Also, they left out at least 2 characters.

END SPOILER

I wanted to see the second OVA, Riki Oh 2: Child of Destruction, but the only version I found was dubbed in Chinese without English subtitles.

Exactly, especially if you live in places which do not emphasise much on these kind of goods, which is pretty much any western country in general.

And if you by chance get an opportunity to live in Japan for a good amount of time, I would be spending my rental memberships on the H section for both first and second hand books. That is also how I managed to collect Trigun Maximum and Outlaw Star comics (both which are far superior to the animated versions).

I already stated that you could do that by renting them, and thus save money, which I'd say I can count as "thinking*.

Actually, yes, I can get pretty much any anime which I may have thought of buying in the past at my local rental service.

Because there's like 7 of them within a reasonably short distance.

Heh, I was rewatching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and noticed Itsuki Koizumi used two attacks named Fumoffu and Second Raid...probably because I never watched any FMP until after watching Haruhi.

First off I'd like to say that i can spell and use grammar just fine. So i apologize if I decided to "shorten" my typing since that is how i usually type.

Secondly, i apologize if that site i posted was illegal, I only found out about it today and I did not know it was in illegal to begin with so my apologies to that.

Thirdly, you didn't have to be so rude. Had you simply said "No" would have been fine. I didn't need the attitude. All I wanted was to join a club that liked what I liked, which is Anime, that's not too much to ask is it? And also, I don't see what grammar has to do with anything. As long as you can understand the person who is typing isn't it enough? But if it means that much to you I understand.

So again my apologies if I have offended anyone in this club and I am deeply sorry.

Good, now keep it that way so you can stop 'sounding' like an idiot.

Secondly, i apologize if that site i posted was illegal, I only found out about it today and I did not know it was in illegal to begin with so my apologies to that.

Torrenting is illegal for fuck's sake, use some common sense.
(Slowpoke)

Thirdly, you didn't have to be so rude.

If I was not, chances are that you would have not taken my word in the first place.

Had you simply said "No" would have been fine. I didn't need the attitude.

You stepped into dangerous water, only a strict order would force your kind out of it on your own. Either that, or deletion by an NG Admin.

All I wanted was to join a club that liked what I liked, which is Anime, that's not too much to ask is it?

I am a 'mod' of this club, and I do not want this one to be another Weeaboo-infested house of shit like many other 'Anime' boards out there.

Want to be an exception? Then show it.

And also, I don't see what grammar has to do with anything. As long as you can understand the person who is typing isn't it enough? But if it means that much to you I understand.

Then I will tell you; grammar is the difference between a person who cannot type and a person who takes pride in their presentation to make themselves look like a dignified member of the online community. It is similar to how one dresses at work or at school, for a full suit is superior in style to cheap attire.

So again my apologies if I have offended anyone in this club and I am deeply sorry.

Don't repeat the stupid stunt again and you'll live.

Thank you for understanding and I know I was in the wrong and I understand that you had to give me attitude.
I would kindly like to ask what i would need to do to join this club, and if by some miracle chance i do ( which I get the feeling I might not ) what i would need to do to make myself a good and valued member to please everyone and make good new friends and to know the rights and wrongs of downloading ( btw I didn't know bittorrenting was illegal and i guess yes I am an idiot for that)

So, i hereby understand that if you do not want me to join, I shall understand completely.
All i just wanted wast meet other people and chat about anime.

That is all and thank you for your time.

I would recommend that you have your balls drop first, but since that is not an available option for you, I would recommend that you tell us about yourself first.

I'd kill myself if that happened. I didn't devote four years of my life to this club for idiots to ruin it. The worst of the idiots leave, and never come back. Others, I horribly flame until they become someone I can stand havin g posting here in this shrine to my greatness.

No it isn't.

Downloading copyrighted material THROUGH torrents is illegal, but not torrenting itself.

I can easily put up a torrent of something like a collection of pictures I drew and that wouldn't be illegal.
