As opposed to the unofficial Macross 2?

At least Macross 7 has an iconic main character for his famous line.

Agreed, avoid them like the plague, awful series they were.

Or if you need at least a minor dose of it, stick to the one with 'straight shota' in it (Macross 7: The Galaxy's Calling me!). Boosted quality FTW.

I approve of the above message.

Straight shota is one of the lulziest things in existance.

I bet a good deal that most fans agree with me that Macross 7 only got good in the last half, much like ZZ Gundam.

Sad that they had to start out flawed, and thusly lose interest from viewers other than the devoted fans.

But you need to leave out my name!

Anyone know when the 3rd and 4th OVA episodes of TOS come out? 1st one comes out in June this year and the 2nd one comes out in August. I think this might stretch into 08.

Instead of constantly asking questions, can you try and search for yourself?

Why would the release dates for the 3rd and 4th be known if the first two aren't even out yet?

Wiki link.

There's plenty of time for lulz.

***SPOILER WARNING!***

In the Robotech books when the Zentradi had Lisa and Roy (I think) captured and they made out causing all the Zentradi to scream and beg them to stop, it made me laugh my ass off personally.
***END SPOILER***

Besides that you're right, I want blood thirsty pilots in control of robots with almost comically oversized guns waging war against one another for almost no apparent reason screaming incomprehensible battle cries on top of their lungs damnit.

Also, ROFLCOPTERS @ awesome spoiler.

Yes, God yes. That is /M/ to me.

Also, I just spent a bit of time lurking on eBay (bad move on my behalf) and now I'm gonn have to start another "Buy Gary A Fucking (Insert character name here) Statue For Crissakes" fund.

That said, now $70 will get me three statues and other junk as opposed to merely covering the "before shipping" price of one statue.

Get a fucking job, how about that? Then we wouldn't have to see your constant bitching about how you don't have any money, and your mom refuses to treat you like your 6 by paying for everything.

Fair enough.

Also, I forgot to stop by the library yesterday....fuck. I should do it tomorrow, because I need some new books to read.

As good as they are, old manga and Thomas Harris novels get dull after reading them to death.

So, NG /A/, do you have any suggestions for good stuff to give a read?

James Clavell's Asian Saga. five or six books spanning from 1600 Japan, to 1960's Japan. With stop overs in China and other countries.

To me and the hardcore fans, two consequtive running episodes of comic relief is unacceptable, let alone one half of an entire storyline*.

* With exception of the SD Gundam OVAs, of course.

Was that the case in the serialisation?

Since it was between Ichijo Hikaru and Misa Hayase in the TV Series and movie.

In before Fukuda's backpack fetish and my unsatisfiable need for hot blooded scream while a certain Mechanoid implodes a universe with a giant hammer.

Yeah, but they had to fit it into 26 episodes, since every good anime has 26 episodes.

House of hotblooded lies! /RGG

GaoGaiGar FINAL had only 8 (or 12 in Grand Glorious Gathering).
Change!! Shin Getter Robot: The Last day of the Earth had 13.
Gundam 0080 only had 6.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu had 13 (as I am typing this).
Black Jack 21 had 17.
Hand Maid May had 11 episodes.

There, I broke the 26 = good rule.

The only exception to this rule is Paranoia Agent, which is shorter.

But that's really more of a miniseries.

Pfft, those aren't long enough to be considered proper series's.

They're miniseries'.

But if it makes you happy, only anime with less than or equal to 26 episodes have the capacity to be good.
