All I know is that he has quite a good bit of knowledge regarding /M/echa, which is relevant to my interests.

And thank you Dr. That was what I meant. They used squad a lot in the last episode.

Because 'battery' can mislead a countless number of people?

Tell me; does the Shaman King suffer Filler Hell like most lesser-aged shows based on a series which has been published on Shonen Jump at some point?

Battery? WTF? No. They were just calling themselves Squads a lot so I just assumed they were called Squad Leaders.

A 'Battery' in military terms means the same as 'Squadron'; 100 soldiers (based on UK Army definitions).

Stow it, sonny Jim. Questioning our unquestionable authority is not advisable, it was a much-needed drubbing, stop it with the complaints, etc.

Also, "Paedofinder", not "Pedo Finder". Get it right.

I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but in our club, we make the judgement calls. Stop telling us what to do and what not to do.

Further still, by continuing to bicker with Haro, you totally voided your own point of not wasting club space with arguments.

In short: Quit whining or bugger off.

I'm thinking about finally getting off my ass and completing this list of the anime I've seen. I've got loads of stuff to add, here's hoping I can find most of it in the database.

Thanks. I thought it was that. It was just that the last one I watched was his little music video and it said Pedo Finder General. I'll change that.

Is that even possible? I mean I would think there would be at least one anime you saw when you were little that you've forgotten about.

No need to apologize, just cut it out.

There was no need to answer his responses....so by dragging it on, I consider that bickering.

Probably, but I clearly remember there being at minimum 15 series or OVAs I need to add to the list.

Anywho, speaking of petitions, I'm still working on a few proposals for this club that I'll be submitting to you and the others later this week for your consideration.

Like I said, petitions always work. What was your last great idea? Oh yeah, change requirements from 5 to 10 to join, thus taking us farther from your original mission statement of "even bakas can join."

I just did some research on Ghost Stories (a D-list kidde series ADV Films raped by re-writing into a hyper-offensive satire series) and I now must own all of it.

Or better; completely kill off that 'first basic requirement' by having actual standards and therefore increasing the chance of accepting 'quality members', especially those who are capable of putting together proper sentences to save their own lives (which appears to be rare for quite some time).

Learn to Google. A plot summary can be easily obtained from about a million different sites.

SPOILERS, I GUESS!!!
My quick summary: The original series is a family-friendly drama about traditional Japanese ghost stories, real narcolepsy inducing stuff unless you're 10 years old and Japanese. The English dub mutates it into the ultimate parody series, complete with a homophobic Christian and a stereotypical Jew.
END SPOILERS!!!

Umm, no, it's not. Did you even read what I wrote?

This is a complete re-write of an awful series, not changes for the sake of localization or flow like other series.

Other than Samurai Pizza Cats, I can't think of a single series besides Ghost Stories that gets re-written in order to become more awesome.

No, just no.

It is because of 'change of target audience' that triggers such 'horrible edits' which most literally butchers a series beyond recognition of its original artistic form.

As for the infamy-ridden company which makes its earnings from it is no other than 4Kids (and possibly a few others I am yet to identify as a threat).

If your definition of 'typical dub' is true, then ADV would have gone bankrupt by now instead of making their successful business out of quality dubs as we know today.

Get your facts right. There should be no excuse by now.

Yes, I plan on getting Green Hill, Ohio hosted somewhere on the interwebs for NG /A/'s enjoyment soon.

Chances are I'll wait until I've finished chapter 18. Oh, and an advance warning, it's hand-drawn and hand-lettered, so it can be a bit sloppy at times. The quality drastically improves as the series wears on.

Are you trying to dissuade me from even trying? Why do I get the feeling that you won't even address an idea brought before you using the legitimate means to do so. Wonko, cut the politics and let me have the shred of democracy I deserve.

Because you should know me by now.

It isn't even a petition. I'm not asking for popular support or signatures. It's a proposal that I am submitting to Wonko, Gendo, and Haro for review. I'm not even finished writing it and it is none of your business what is inside it until I feel like disclosing it.

For your information though, my last proposal, the August 2006 Amendment, passed with little opposition from Wonko or anyone else.

That 5 to 10 thing was probably my idea anyways. At least we didn't go with the limit on Adult Swim shows...mainly cus there have been just too many animes on there and they play/add many people's favorites. I started watching Naruto and it was in my favorites, then was put on AS, then I started watching Bleach, and it was one of my favorites...then it was put on AS.

I'm all for listening to what Starks wants to do to add to the club. I don't want to have to come up with new ideas myself, but I'm all for judging other people's ideas.

You can have an opinion on it if you want, just know that you've only been here a few months and aren't generally "well liked" most of the time and your opinions won't really effect anything.

The authority figures have the final say on these proposals anyway.

I finally got around to watching Code Geass-Lelouch of the Rebllion.

I went through it pretty quick, found a good bit of it to be enjoyable. Of course, I'm a whore for next to anything neo-military, mecha, and British Empire. Not to mention the healthy doses of situational, cosmic, and tragic irony.

There were a few moments that could of been changed, namely:

******************************SPOILER********
*****************************

Right before Euphie goes Holocaust-Agent on the Japanese, the dialog and story could of become infinitely better had Lelouch instead said:

"I'm serious. For example: If I told you to make me a sammitch and give me hot, cousin sex, you would really do it."

******************************End************
*******************

Of course, that's just preference, I suppose.

Sense is made.

Just barely. Well over three fifths of the new members don't even bother to read the rules when they first join. So, kinda-sorta work. Key words: Kinda-sorta.

Brings back memories of when me and Tink came up with them. Seemed like it took forever to agree on base rules.

The wiki site is HTML sensitive... It's just a REALLY anal wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) interface.

The best (and unfortunately one of the least productive) way to edit it is by cutting and pasting from a program like Microsoft Word.

I'm sure you remember when I created it that I never intended to be a permanent solution. I only created it because Tink was having password problems with the freewebs site.
