1. Hated Naruto as a character
2. The supporting cast doesn't get enough screen time

I have read the manga, and I gave up on it.

Did you not read my posts? Ignoring the fillers wouldn't do anything, I plain don't like several other aspects of the show. Plus, ignoring the fillers means ignoring a massive chunk of the series.
