Yes, and I don't have any desire to watch it.

excellent anime. It wasn't a remake, though. The new one and the 80's one made by Masamune Shirow (didn't like the 80's one) were both based on the manga. Saying it's a remake is like saying Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory.

best villains (no particular order):

Count Magnus Lee (Vampire Hunter D)
Alexander Anderson (Hellsing)
Lord Genma (Ninja Scroll)
Shijima (Ninja Scroll)
Utsutsu (Ninja Scroll)
Makoto Shishio (Rurouni Kenshin)
Tetsuo (Akira)
Vicious (Cowboy Bebop)
Vincent (Cowboy Bebop)

probably forgot a few.

Cripes! Way to miss out on what was probably the most win-tacular series.

I really liked 08th MS Team as well as Gundam Wing. I didn't watch much of the other series except for G Gundam, which I barely remember.

I used to watch G gundam like crazy, but they didn't really have a good villain.

My favorite villain was when Byakuya from Bleach was a "bad" guy. That was way too cool.

08th MS Team is an awesome chapter to the Gundam saga. Wing was ok, not the best IMO. G Gundam is something you should watch one day though, very good. Next to G I'd say 08th MS Team is probably up there. 0080 and 0083 are others you should watch as well along with the 0079 chapter as well. Zeta and ZZ, Turn A, F91 along with a few others. One of the best series out there I say.

I can never understand though, why people who are fans of anime are divided between mecha and non mecha anime. It's like f/a/ggots and /a/ssholes are always ragging on /m/echa because of such. Christ people stop being such close minded twats and expand your anime interests. I thought I wouldn't like Rozen Maiden because it dealt with dolls but it's now one of my favorite series.

Well.... I'm kinda fucked out of a computer until Friday seeing how the mother board in mine is fried due to unknown causes. I chalk it up to it being old and a piece of shit. I was putting a cd burner in mine but had to remove the powersupply and ribbon cables to do so. Somewhere in there I guess a static charge must've fried it but seeing how I grounded myself the whole time... So yeah, $150 for a new board and power supply.

And let's not forget Gundam X, despite its low ratings and the fact that it was shortened down to 40-ish (43 if I remember correctly) episodes long. Phallic Weapon System FTW. XD

And for the One Year War nuts out there; there is also MS IGLOO to consider watching.

Alexander Anderson (Hellsing)

Not such a "evil villain" in my opinion, more of just a bad-ass rival to me!

Lord Genma (Ninja Scroll)

Meh.

Shijima (Ninja Scroll)

Ehhhhhhhh, somewhat.

Utsutsu (Ninja Scroll)

Don't remember which one of them this one is...

Makoto Shishio (Rurouni Kenshin)

Not sure if this is the TV series or the OVA.

Tetsuo (Akira)

Certainly the best antagonist death in all of anime, lol

Vicious (Cowboy Bebop)

Ah, I agree here, so cold, so self serving

Vincent (Cowboy Bebop)

I felt alot of sympathy for Vincent, plus he didn't take that free rape session with Faye

probably forgot a few.

Yeah, I'd have to say the most hated villain in my books is Knives from Trigun

Then and again there are sub-genres such as Tokusatsu, Mahou Shojo and the H (as in Ecchi, not Haruhi, though we love that too) that we all love.

It's like f/a/ggots and /a/ssholes are always ragging on /m/echa because of such.

Just let them be, they just don't know the finer points of hot blooded robot piloting action Go Nagai and his (unfortunately deceased) apprentice has brought us 30 years back.

(Yes, I am still going on about mechs-related series, but I am the current /M/aster around here, amirite?)
Unlike what it seemed at first, even I had doubts of the Yuusha Series until I watched up to halfway of Yuushaoh GaoGaiGar, which pratically brought the Yuusha series to an epic level of storyline and technical depth.

I have also started (or continued to) watch Utawarerumono and Betterman* lately, and both are winnage in their own ways.

* Whaa? Keita is voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi; the same guy who voiced L in Death Note?!

Most powerful?

Demon King if the Sacred Stones had all been destroyed. He would have been immortal, invulnerable, and the strongest being in the cosmos.

Him or Galactus, since the Marvel universe couldn't exist without him.

Weakest?

i'm gonna have to go with... what's his name? He was in the Dragonball series. Was it King something? Or Prince? He had a dog humanoid and a woman as his henchmen. In GT he makes the wish that turns Goku into a kid again. Help me out please!

Most pathetic?

I might have to go with Etamon (if that is how you spell it) from Digimon. Sounds like Elvis, has a horrible singing voice (unlike Elvis), carries a teddy bear, and barely does any real fighting.

You mean Emperor Pilaf (named after the rice dish)?
When I watched Dragonball when it first aired in Hong Kong late at night (1991, I think it was), I always thought of him as some archetype design for the Namek-Seijin. XP

It's the ways storytellers reinvent the wheel that makes it worthwhile watching (not that the original was bad, mind you. I meant in terms of dimensional storyline-telling and playthrough).

If he is the Alpha Male, then the term "Alpha Male" is meaningless.

That, or the authority members and leader of NG/A/ are higher deities.

The significance of that comment wasn't for you.

He's just doing his part, so shut up about it.

Well, I'm giving up on BECK for now, it airs too infrequently and when it does air, it interferes with my regular TV watching. I'll wait for summer re-runs or the DVDs.

Lol, watch some fillers and laugh at how bad they are. That's what I would do if there weren't like 7000000000 animes that I've never watched.
