I agree. YuYu Hakusho is really original, and is unlike other animes. The only thing that makes Dbz similar to YuYu Hakusho is the power levels. That's it! I didn't see much of Bleach, but I heard that that is the closest thing to YuYu Hakusho.

Regardless of their concepts, both are undeniable classics along with Ranma 1/2, Kidou Senshi Gundam, ChouJiKuYouSai Macross and Taiho Shicahuzo; each representing a highlight of different genres (though in the case of Gundam and Macross, it's different approaches to a similar Genre though distinct enough to be seen separately as they marked different milestones).

And to those who have read the Gundam X Manga by Tokita (same artist of the Gundam W Manga), he advertised that he has released a "Gundam Party" compilation (which I have bought as well). I don't recall if it includes the "Gundam W G-Unit" 4-koma though.

I used to think of it as a dbz clone as well after the dark turnememt saga, i still wish i got to see the 3 kings saga. looking back.... it was a great show in my younger days.

YuYu Hakusho is my favorite anime. To sum up the 3 kings saga for you....SPOILER!
Yusuke, Hiei, and Kurama all head to demon world, but with different reasons. They have each been asked by one of the three Demon kings to go train under them. Hiei was picked by Mukuro, Kurama by Yomi, and Yusuke by Raizen. Raizen is the strongest of the three having the power to shake the universe with his stomach rumbling. Anyways, Time passes, and Raizen dies from starvation not wanting to eat humans. Therefore Yusuke was left incharge of his kingdom. Yusuke didn't feel up to ruling just like that, so he convinced the other two kings to give up their power to fight in a tourney deciding the sole ruler of Demon World. Yusuke battles Yomi in the closest match ever, but eventually loses leaving Yomi to pooped to continue to win. Also Mukuro was tired out due to Natsume, and Hiei, and also lost. Therefore victory went to one of Raizen's friends Enkai. Everyone went back to Human world, except for Hiei, and Genkai said that when she dies they can have her compound to try to understand demons that come through do their world. Also the boarder between worlds has been taken down, but Demons are forbidden by Enkai to mess with the Human world. The story has a very happy ending.

Gods, Yu Yu rocked. It wasn't my first anime; I'd seen Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher (is that even an anime?), Sailor Moon, DBZ, etc. before Yu Yu, but Yu Yu, Kenshin, and Inuyasha were the triad of action that got me fully into anime.
