Yeah L is cool and all but he doesn't eat a chip like the way Light does in episode 08 of the anime.

I'll solve equations with my right hand.

I write the name with my left hand.

If you have read the pages you have missed, that would be Gendo who has been actively recommending it to people.

I have watched it as well, if that answers your question.

So can I count that as a vote from you for me to be an authority figure here? Or atleast just while Wonko is gone...

Yes, yes you can.

And when the hell did this Haruhi thing come on? I've never seen it. :(

The craze started at around May 2006. I could literally see it in every store which sells/specialises in that particular culture, especially in Nipponbashi (Osaka).

Such stores include (but not limited to):

Animate
Gamers
GeeStore
Mandarake
Melon Books

And all the minor un-named stores within and around that area.

I think it is kind of amusing that it was LLStarks who first brought it up. He was talking about the 2006 anime season and talked about Haruhi..that's about when I watched it.

But I only whore out Slayers!

oro ? osaka , that doesn't explain why we ( the other half of the world )heard about it ... even if it is released in osaka , any otaku who doesn't know japanese ( like me O_O ) wouldn't be able to view it , and in order to be traslated in english it needs popularity . THe last one piece manga that i read was about 5 years or someting overtime , so the haruhi craze when did it hit english based grounds ?

btw; is there really a store named animate in osaka ? cool that's such a nice name for a store , makes me want to go on shopping care right away

Yes indeedy, it's a personal favorite of mine.

At 3/8/07 10:16 AM, Dr-HyakuNinGiri wrote: But I only whore out Slayers!

I used to do the same, I even lent a friend a VHS of the last volume of the first season, and he never gave it back. That was four years ago.

Fortunately, he called me the other day and after about twenty minutes of yelling at him, he's decided to mail it to me. Here's hoping I get it soon, because I'm in serious Slayers withdrawal and I've not got $68 for the movie boxset (which the local import store has).

At 3/8/07 02:38 PM, sepiroth-blade wrote: so the haruhi craze when did it hit english based grounds ?

When fansubs started popping up all over the internets, as well as fan-translations of the original novels.

The anime's been licensed and is set to be released dubbed very soon, but neither the novels nor the two manga series have been give official translations yet.

I need to write an angry letter or two, I needs moar Haruhi.

Oh, I assure. I'm glad the anime is over and I'm hoping the series does not get picked up for a second season.

I just want the novels and the manga, badly.

I have no idea, that's why I want to read it.

Also when i was saying about i don't like anime that drags on to long............Naruto and ranma1/2 are exceptions

Hahaha, I knew you'd say that. A statement like "I don't like anime that drags on to (sic) long" sounds a bit hypocritical from a fan of such series.

I don't think there is a general rule on an anime's goodness and its length. There are long series that are good the whole way through and some that aren't so good...though you shouldn't just base your opinion on long series off of only the Inuyasha anime. Also, I don't think fillers should be counted in an anime's length, like Naruto and Bleach.

It all depends on how long it takes to tell the story. If it takes 6, 13, 24, 26, or 173 episodes, it all depends on the quality.

The 3 Slayers series could have been one, 78 episode series, since Next extends from what happens in The Slayers, and Try extends from what happens in Next. Splitting it up into seperate seasons makes it seem less long.

Well....I didn't say anything about it, just that it's there. Plus, all powerful people in Bleach have Bankai, and we already know that his zanpukto's name. Really, there isn't much I'm spoiling there.

SPOILER!

Seriously though, the number three is pretty apparent in his Shikai and Bankai. The third blade in each gives him an advantage over people like Ukitake and that other guy with twin Zanpukto. He really needs to find some way to get four blades on one weapon....that would kick so much ass.....

End SPOILER!
