I think this is a pretty amazing accomplishment, since other large clubs have been killed by Spam and what not...and anime is an easy target for spammers and haters.

I remember/just looked up when I first joined on page 536...before that I didn't understand the sig system and kept posting my Betterman sig...until I got my Doctor is In sig..and then i got that dancing lady added by a sig maker...and have kept it until this day.

After I joined I didn't post again here for 184 pages, I said I liked Betterman...you said you didn't....good times.

Oh the animes I've seen since then....yet Slayers has always remained my favorite.

As far as I know, we're the second largest thread on NG. We surpassed "NG's largest thread" over in General long ago.

Today is my easy day, but of course, I got to wake up at 6 because of hail and a tornado siren! And that was beyond the time when I could fall back to sleep...

Whew..finally finished a program that is due today...258 lines of code...and I'm sure way more than I need...luckily Putty has a simple highlight + rightclick to paste tool.

I guess tonight, after some pingpong and dinner I'll work on tomorrows program...which should be a little easier, now that I know what to do. It's basically doing what calculators do, by finding roots of quadratic equations.

Yes, not to mention the Kenshin manga is amazingly awesome while Naruto quickly becomes boring and predictable.

Although naruto is repetitive, i must admit the U.S. version of the show sucks. The manga for it is WAY better. (U.S. naruto book 13 comes out sometime this month [march]) The show can't have much blood in it because it's on during the day so little kids could watch it.

Unpredictablity is a good thing, I like my anime unpredictable because everything I watch is so predictable.

Example: House MD

I love it to death, but it follows such a repetitive formula.

1. Someone ends up with bizarre affliction.
2. House can't be bothered to do anything but slack and be rude.
3. After some coaxing, House and his cronies try to guess the disease based on the symptoms.
4. They guess wrong and give the person the wrong treatment, and then the patient takes a turn for the worse.
5. ???
6. Profit

With the exception of a few episodes, the series strictly follows this pattern. Fortunately, good acting and humor save the series.

Speaking of unpredictable, I've managed to convince my dub-whore friends to watch Haruhi, and they seem pretty excited about getting to watch the whole series. Chances are the only reason they're gonna sit down and deal with it subbed is because I warned them of the odd cast for the forthcoming dub.

Anyhow, I get to convert a few more folks to Haruhiism, and I'm considering making some "Haruhiism" shirts or something to give as gifts for the sake of lulz.

At least that should be pretty simple, since Haruhiism already has its Cross and Star of David. You could also wear SOS arm bands...so when you all are going to be shipped out to extermination camps, it will be easy to identify you.
