You draw? Awesome, drawing's a great way to pass time.

As for not having a scanner, that must suck.

Are you interested in joining this club? If so, we need your ten favorite animes and your favorite character of the same gender as you before you can join.

I don't know if Link would need a voice actor. Isn't he by nature very quiet? I mean, all you ever hear from him are grunts and yells.

Yes, but he still needs to speak at some point despite being a quiet youth. Not to mention that hot blooded screaming and yelling cannot be done by just anyone.

Yep, and of the two choices you gave, Nobuyuki Hiyama best suits the role.

I'd say Kappei Yamaguchi, but that's just because I'm a huge whore for his work (because the fucker is in nearly all of my favorite series, and almost always plays a central character).

In all honestly, I'd say Nobuyuki's got what it takes to do Link.

Spoilers...?
I have watched the FMA Movie only once, and I personally did not like it compared to the larger scale events the Manga has gotten to.

how different is the manga from the anime?

You know what happened the last time they gave Link a voice!

Very different, much more happens in the manga plotwise, and alot of characters are different.

I won't spoil anything, though, it's worth reading.

I personally think that the english voice actor for "Tapion" off of DBZ movie 13 would make an excelent link voice. ^-^ because on the movie tapion kept to himself and he always reminded me of link anyway cause of his ocarina and sword. :) but... thats just my opinion. :P just thought it would be cool!

Meh. It lacks the hot blooded-ness; the over-the-top kind which makes seiyus famous (another would be Tomokazu Seki).

You sure it is even from an anime? It looks more like an image from a game or maybe even fanart. Doesn't look much like a screenshot either.

Like I already mentioned in my previous posts...
Those 'grunts and screams' you speak of still have to come from a voice actor who can portray such level of strength in the voice.

Uh..the captains aren't the leaders of soul society. Soul society is ruled by a royal family, and all legislative and judiciary duties are done by the Central 46 Chambers. The shinigami's just enforce the laws and keep order.

Pretty much, we've also got a fairly inept government and really unpredictable weather.

Sydney is a great place for an otaku, because we've got a fair amount of good import shops and Island Anime, a group of hardcore otakus who regularly organize conventions and such.

I've been trying to get myself in on the fun, I know several of the higher-ups and I've been a regular at their events in the past two years. I was known as "the other Mugen" for awhile because at last summer's improv comedy/picnic day both I and the group's current leader dressed as Mugen, which was quite the laugh seeing as neither of us expected any Samurai Champloo cosplay (a friend of mine went as Jin, and unsurprisingly, there was another Jin).

I also got to appear in a documentary about otakudom last fall, I was given fifteen minutes of camera time (in costume, as Tetsuo) at a con to wax poetic about my favorite series (many whorish Urusei Yatsura plugs) and how being an otaku has changed my life.

stuff

I can't really find to many shops at the toe of the boot (Louisiana). It was even harder to find shops after Katrina (because most of them were closed). Most of them are open now. I can't find any convention areas around here. The only convention I've ever been to was a twin convention with my brother.

I go to the Otakon festival in D.C. since i was 13 (yes been in this country for 2 years now) and it is quite fun, although I find 20,000 people that look like me there. I also get a signature and picture from my favorite American manga or web-comic artist Fred Gallagher. It is fun anime convention. America can be similar to Canada, but the weather is more "predictable".

Although I must say, I'd throw it all away for an FYE, those places are Godly.

Canananadia sucks. Quit talking about it. Due to my exremely limited anime access, my only options right now are to pick up DBZ again, before moving on to GT, or to rewatch Samurai Deeper Kyo and Berserk.

It doesn't help that it says Sydney, N.S. in your profile, since Sydney is in New South Wales, and makes it easier to get confused.
