I'm curious to see how it will work out, and if they have a good story for the violence, because when I last looked at a preview for a guro manga it had a kid decapitating his sister and having sex with her corpse.

Series's

Cowboy Bebop (Also, one of the best soundtracks for anything ever)
Paranoia Agent (Awesome, but went downhill after the first 8 episodes or so)
Trigun (Would've been far better without the random (super deformed?) face changing)
Samurai Champloo (Still haven't finished this one, but it loses points for seemingly taking far too much from Cowboy Bebop (Characters are the general same, bases itself largely on music, etc.)
.Hack//Sign (I liked the idea of this one, but the ending wasn't great)
Samurai7 (Not far into this one, but it seems like a pretty interesting adaptation)
Excel Saga (Has the occasional funny part which put it on this list, but it also has alot of lame jokes which are just there to be random)
Fullmetal Alchemist (Worst ending ever)
FLCL (Straight to DVD anime miniseries's count? It was good, but I dislike how everyone just thinks it's about nothing, it's pretty simple that it's just about a boy that wants to grow up too quickly)
La Blue Girl (Not exactly a good series by any means, but it's fucking hilarious how bad the voice acting is, and how they manage to get so much sex in it. By the way, FUCKING NINJA SEXCRAFT!)

Movies:
Spirited Away (This was like my introduction to Ghibli, and proper anime, also a masterpiece of animation)
Princess Mononoke (Another masterpiece)
My Neighbour Totoro (Interesting how they can have so much monsters and everything, but all the characters just take it in their stride. And I like how the father never tells the girls that they aren't real or refuses to believe that they are.)
Porco Rosso (Pig headed airplane pilot? Fuck yes)
Laputa: Castle in the Sky (Top 3 anime films of all time, alongside Spirited away and Princess Mononoke)
Kiki's Delivery Service (I have far too many Miyazaki movies on this list)
Whisper of the Heart (One of the few anime's I've seen that involves no magic, robots, futuristic machines, set in the past or anything. Also, possibly the only really good non Miyazaki Ghibli film)
Millenium Actress (Had no idea what was going on until the second viewing, and it's definately an interesting idea having an old actor convey her past through her old movie characters)
Perfect Blue (This film is given too little credit, in fact lots of reviewers hate it, what's with that? This and Millenium Actress are by the same director that did Paranoia Agent)
Nausicaa of the valley of the wind (Thought I'd finished with the Ghibli films had you?)

I'd compile a manga list, but I haven't read enough to justify a good one.

By the way, that guro manga I downloaded is fucked up.

It starts out with somebody masturbating to the idea of having her brains shot out, and then she stands in front of a mirror and has somebody shoot her in the head, while keeping her conscious. After she gets her head shot in she masturbates and puts her hands inside her head while doing it and then she dies.

Kinda weird.

It makes you feel a bit uneasy :P

I really wished that Tezuka Studios would keep to that powerful drama style, especially for the TV Series, the latest movie and the "Black Jack 21" alternate retelling.
