Why is it you and the other idiot can't spell Inuyasha even after being corrected? It literally translates into english as "Dog Demon."

So anyway, my my recent DBZ adventures, one question has stuck with me. Why does Raditz wear a garter? I mean, did he make the liche threat of "I'll have your guts for garters" and actually follow through?

Also, why does only Vegeta wear pants? Do saiya-jin's have a law that only the royalty can wear pants?

Please God, kill me now. I'm becoming a DBZ fanboy!

Raditz always struck me as being gay, you reminding me of the garter just reinforced the belief.

Probably.

Ya, I wanted to know if they have box sets of S-Cry-Ed in stores. I didn't see your reply, sorry it took so long to respond.

I've seen the two or three movies that's apart of that series. Great anime, but just like Love Hina, they throw in a lot of shit that didn't happen, when you compare it to the manga. (Yes, I know I compare too much from manga to anime, but seriously...) Same with GTO, only they cut a lot of shit out, and changed the ending.

Damn alterations, ruining some of my favorite things...

I must honestly say, Ranma 1/2 is one of the few animes I've seen in which the filler is actually worth watching. Even at it's most plotless (which considering the manga's surprisng lack of filler, should never happen) it's still very entertaining.

In GTO's case, some parts in the manga were just way too over-the-top for an anime to handle. Some things are just too "manga" (yes, I'm using it as an adjective) to be adapted to the animated world.

I agree with you have way on this one, mainly because I saw the anime, before reading and buying the whole series.

I'm not sure about things being too "manga" for a show. I mean, they took out some of the best moments, my favorite being when Fuyutsuki was teaching Onizuka, or when his classmates caught him whacking off in the back of truck.

Even though I've read nearly all of the manga, I didn't start buying the collected volumes until recently. So my collection consists of random parts in the middle of the series and the first five reissued volumes. I want to at least catch up to where I was back in the 90's.

Those were classic moments, but it seems that the writers of the series felt that there were more important scenes to use instead.

(Although I must say I'd kill to see an animated version of the whack-off scene)

It wouldn't be the same. They even changed Naoko from just a cool headed nurse to a swindler, racer, and a ho that slept with Uchiyamada, even though it clearly states that she hates the guy. Although once again, I can understand the "too" manga part. Especially when Onizuka arm wrestles Heihachi from Tekken. There are some more references, I just can't remember them. All in all, they ended the anime techinally at Vol 14, then skipped to Vol 23, but changed the story as to why Miyabi was a bitch. Eh, it kind've makes me loath animes, unless they are original. I've noticed that the only way you'll get something fully brought over, is if it was made by Viz. And I'm not too big on their series.

I've always been thrown a curve-ball by adaptions, they either screw up the ending or screw up everything else. Very few of them ever truly work.

Viz fails because they try to cater to too many different audiences, but with a heavy focus on crappy mainstream series (I'll forever hate them for not reprinting Urusei Yatsura, I've sent angry letters and signed petitions, but that does nothing). I must applaud them for licensing Read Or Dream (which I've been dying to read), I guess they don't totally hate those with slightly obscure tastes.

True. I'm hoping they never touch another one of Ken Akamatsu's mangas.

I'm talking about the Anime it sends out, like Inuyasha, and I think Excel Saga, been goo long, maybe wrong about that. Probably Gainix, whatever. Inuyasha was brought to anime very closely to the story, so much so where you didn't even have to buy the manga. I never got passed the first season, lost interest.

It's good when animes and mangas balance out. Like when a manga has more in it/more graphic than the anime, but the anime simplifies and extends things, like fights. Some manga fights are hard to follow or are too short:

BLEACH SPOILER STUFF***********************

like when Aizen and Toushiro fought. In the manga Toushiro uses his bankai and Aizen just takes him down. Atleast in the anime Toushiro gets a chance to attack him.

The manga is a bit more bloody than the anime. Especially in the first episode. The little girl has half her face covered in blood and is killed (if ghosts can be killed by hollows) in the manga, while in the anime the hollow just stops chasing her).

I wonder how graphic Chad getting his arm cut off and Orihime getting all bloody will be in the anime.

END O BLEACH SPOILER STUFF****************

Speaking of Bleach...

I MADE AN AMV!! YAY FOR ME!!

I called it Number One Bleach AMV Deluxe Edition!

It contains Ichigo stuff from episodes up to and including 108.

Not a bad AMV there. In some parts you should've turned the subtitles off though. Possibly a better song but a decent AMV.

Yeah, I really can't stand Inuyasha. Part of the reason is because of how insanely popular it is. I'm just tired of hearing/reading about it. The same goes for Naruto and FMA, and I LIKE FMA! (or at least what I've seen of it so far)

Speaking of FMA, is it true that there's a cheap box set of the whole series available? A friend of mine said there was, I think, but he could have possibly been mistaken. I haven't seen it available, but I've seen the usual old single DVD plus box for holding other volumes, which I never have and probably never will buy. I already have volumes 1-4, but I have not opened them, so I could probably find a store that would give me full price for them if I wanted to hand them in and get a complete box set.

So, has anybody considered my suggestion of checking out Now and Then, Here and There? I can't wait to see the last 2 volumes.

Most popular shows are actually really good.

Also, even though we don't discuss manga here, NAruto part 2 Manga is amazing. I can't wait for Hurricane Chronicles. I hope that every one here watches it too since it will be so frickin' awesome.

I couldn't remove the subtitles because of embedded subs, and it would take a long time to download raw versions of all the episodes I used.

Understandable then. I'm trying to make gifs using windows media player classic but the damn thing jumps frames half of the time so I can't make good ones or any period for the most part. Quite frustrating too, damn hard to make a sig of Zaraki when you can't even get the images you want.

in your opinion. I, however hate Inuyasha. That's how I feel. I don't hate it solely because it's popular. I just think it's lame. The super excessive praise simply makes me hate it more than before. However, I can still respect those who like it.

Well, being ever the optimist, I'm hoping that since the 4 new movies are redoing the series entirely with an ending different from EoE, I might actually get some closure this time. They'll get it right EVENTUALLY.
