You don't have to be a leader for someone to join the club. As long as they list their 10 favorite anime and choose a character that is not on the list they qualify. If they are confused, help them. If they don't know where the list is, link them. If they fill out the criteria and the character they have chosen isn't taken and it all checks out A-OK, welcome them.
I say this because when I first joined I forgot that anyone can welcome anyone into the AC.[Given the person doing the welcoming is a pre-existing member] Wonko chewed my ass out for a lot of things leading to me expulsion of the club years back, this being one of them. "I dunno, wait to see what Wonko says." I'd say and that bugged the hell out of him.
Him banishing me from the AC is what helped me open my eyes and realize that I was such a fucking 'tard. Thus why I thank him for being who he is, Wonko-the-Sane.

Heh, that was how I used to be with my friends. When I turned 13 I was getting bashed for watching Ronin Warriors and Dragonball Z[Yes, even Sailor Moon and C.C. Sakura]. My exact words were:

I got punched a few times but never fought them back. I thought they were my friends but they weren't. Goes to show you what middle school kids are like. When I got into high school I ran across a guy wearing a DBZ shirt coincidentally it was the exact same one I was wearing. He introduced me to some of his friends and thus school became a fun place again.
Oh GOD how I dispised middle school and how I loathe North Georgia. Filled with a majority of redneck, back water retards who are so closed minded it hurts.
