Ah I see. Well if it helps I originally caught wind of Inuyasha back in mid 2001. I had the user name 'Master_Inuyasha since about early 2004 only to be changed to what it is now because of the whole update the site thing. Tom offered me the name, I gladly accepted. Thus history was made.

But yeah, I see quite a bit of them and I have to laugh for they shall never have the Inuyasha alias.

Lucky you since I didn't get the offer for just "Shin" and I'm betting on that's it's way plus overdue. Even if I do get that option, I'm not too favorable with the gods.

Alias names for anime. Interesting topic really. Anyways, I'm looking for a recent anime. Any suggestions?

You watch trinity blood? i do too,but im not hooked on it.Probably because i dont watch it much. You think they'ed have some episodes on youtube but in english insted of japanish with english subtittles?

I'd put something witty here, but that would be pointless and unoriginal.

I agree with Dejanus. Watching anime in their original format beats hearing it in English. Sure it's good but not great but that's only my opinion.

The reason it is not dubbed on Youtube is that the dubbed version is being aired for the first time on Adult Swim. There will be some episodes in english uploaded soon, I am sure.

its just that i dont really like to read and those subtittles pass by to quick. Also i dont get adult swin so yeah,i watch it on Razor, you probably never heard of it because it mostly airs in canada. And to anser the last thing im quite happy that ther will be some english on youtube(haza!).

Just ask Tom. He's been deleting tons of inactive accounts. I think about 50k + so far.

Wrong. Go watch G Gundam subbed and then go watch it dubbed. There are a good number out there that sound pretty good if not much better than the original VAs.

Sorry, but I must disagree, I've seen countless dubs that are better than the original Japanese versions. A few shitty recent dubs is no reason to give up on dubbing.

There's no news of a new season, but there is a movie.

I find the sheer amount of GiTS material overwhelming. I only actually enjoyed the original manga and SAC, though. Both movies left me jaded and bored, and Man-Machine Interface was a plotless jumble with god art and too much fanservice.
I do hold high hopes for this new film...

Heh, you don't surprise me Gendo. I've found a lot of people weren't too into Ghost in the Shell. The '96 movie got me into the series and I just about creamed myself when I found about about Stand Alone Complex. Innocence was a very good movie and very well done IMO, so was Second Gig but it wasn't as good as S.A.C.[even though I missed the ending for Second Gig BOTH TIMES! >: (]

So yeah, Ghost in the Shell for the win. :D

I had mild interest in the film, so I read the manga instead anf enjoyed it. I gave SAC a try and loved it, so I re-traced my steps to the movie, which conviently aired as part of a marathon with Ninja Scroll(another anime I hated) and half of Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door(thanks to an error made by the network) on IFC Canada earlier this year and flicked it off about fifteen minutes in. Beautiful looks and sounds, but the story didn't really do anything for me.

This weeek, I got a volume of xxHolic, and a Zabuza (Naruto) figure.

Response to Anime Club 2006-09-30 18:08:49

I'm guessing that those figures are not very big since most figures aren't. Maybe they are.

I believe they're 4.5 inches, so that's about average size.

Well, I'm not into SAC, but I really like the original movie.

I watched the first 4 episodes of Texhnolyze on Friday. I have a feeling it gets a lot better later on. I think I'll just buy all 6 volumes some day. I'm going to start renting Gantz.

Also, I'm watching Battle Royale tonight.

I saw two episodes and stopped watching it, a friend told me that it just gets progressively less interesting as you get further in. He made it an astoudning three episodes into the series before stopping. I guess it didn't really catch our interests, we're both oldskool otaku anyways, so most new series seem weird and scary to us.

Iv'e tried catching it up, but my damn schedule won't comply with me. After Trinity Blood (12:00, right before bleach at 12:30), I just have to finish up some pieces of homework, and go to sleep. Either that, or I have to wake up really early (like at 4:00, when [AS] re-runs their shows), but I really can't.

On Another note, Gendo, I heard that you were gonna cosplay as Tetsuo? I also heard that you were gonna use desitin to dye your hair. Have you tried using it before? I heard that it was an ass to take out (but a cornstarch rinse does the job). Also, is it like those temp dyes that you can wash out?

the first one.

It was pretty good, but the subtitles were kind of messed up. haha. I was surprised to see Takeshi Kitano in it, especially playing a character with the same last name.

That was practically the point. They do the same thing in the second movie where the teacher's last name is their real life last name as well. I'm looking forward to seeing this American remake so I can laugh at how bad they rip and screw up the original story, like they've done with many films before.

Anyone think that Tetsuo: The Iron Man is based off of Tetsuo from Akira? They both start mutating with lots of metal coming in and out of them and become monsters.
