no, you're fucking not. To join, you have to list your 5 favorite anime and choose a character of the same gender to represent you. Also, the character cannot already be on our members list.

Wow. I haven't been on these forums in quite some time.
Just thought I'd stop by and see how you guys are doing. Although it appears that not much has changed.

4 sure^^
That was the little six episode series with Dark Schneider, right?
How do you figure that was most influenced by Heavy Metal?

Yeah, I have it on DVD and I don't even remember hearing any metal music.

Or maybe he meant the Heavy Metal series of comics/magazines that were later turned into movies? I think I read somewhere that it's been said that Bastard! was influenced in some way by those.
Hmm. Since you guys are into anime, I guess that would make this club an ideal place to get feedback on some of my artwork.
As some of you may know already, I'm a CG artist. (I'm not exactly one of the best artists ever, but I have been told by quite a few people that my artwork is good.)
Anyways, I do various art styles (although primarily anime). However, my favorite/usual art style is cell shading.
Here is a link to my online art portfolio, containing some examples of work I've done. I'd just like to know what you guys here in this club think of the anime artwork. Feel free to criticise the artwork, any feedback is welcome.
I have also attached an example of a recent cell shading I did (for those of you are weary of clicking on links). Those of you who recognize the character in this picture may notice that there are some differences in the appearance. I did the picture of him differently like this to make things a bit different and suit my own tastes.
Let me know what you think.

You have some very good work, but it's too bright for my tastes. I would've done the villain darker. The shadows are sometimes too bright as well and this makes them feel like they lack depth. You're proportions are good (for anime style), but occaisonally you're lines are wrong. Like a muscle that ignores the elbow and just goes straight down the entire arm, or a jaw line looks too round. other than that, I'd say excellent work.

Yes, I notice that as well. I just keep the images like that so that I can add lighting effects to the image as needed when I add a setting and background to the picture. This way the lighting effects on the character's image can more realistically match the lighting that would be provided in such a setting.

Lines are one of the reasons I have started focusing more on cell shading, since such details can be harder to notice in the final image. As for the way the jaws and muscles sometimes look: this is just because I copy the way the characters are drawn by the original artists in the pictures I use for reference. That's why I practice by copying the way various artists draw. Then I am able to improve upon how I draw various features more realistically.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep in mind what areas to improve upon.
Hello Anime Club! I haven't posted here in a while. Last week, I got the first three volumes of the Bleach manga. It's a good manga. Are there any Bleach fans here?

1)Neon Genesis Evangelion
2)Hellsing
3)Trigun
4)Excel Saga
5)Tenjou Tenge
Character: Nagi Souichiro from Tenjou Tenge
Also, I did do a memberslist update, but then freewebs got gay and deleted all my work. I'll do another tomorrow.
What does everyone think of that Eureka 7?
It would be cool if Adult Swim played End of Evangelion, since they've shown the last eps to Evangelion a few times already.
And i think Ghost in the Shell ripped off Office Space with that virus program that takes those small fractions that are rounded away in money transactions and puts them in an account, making lots of money over time.
Ah, its been forever since i posted in here... So i've come across a problem... I've seen all the Samurai Champloo that is available... And i've been working on One Piece... I was wondering if you all could recommend some anime that you think a fan of Samurai Champloo and One Piece would enjoy...

Hei thanks, although I've seen Hellsing already which was a big disappointment. I'll definately check out all the others though.
TANKMAN THE GAME COMING SOON
I just took a quick look at Orphen: Revenge this morning and was very pleased to see that the voice actors for the english dub for the first season were all in this one:
David Matranga
Shelly Carlene-Black
Spike Spencer
John Swasey
Hilary Haag
I would have been very upset if any of these people were not in this season, especially David Matranga and John Swasey.
I have a question for Full Metal Alchemist fans. Are there any more than 40 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist? That was all I have found on DVD.
To answer your question -Fumetsu- there are 53 eps. of FMA if Im not mistaken. Then theres the movie.
I would like know to some peoples opinion on Bleach. It's going to air on [as] soon and I've gotten some varying opinions about it. Just wanted to know what y'all thought.
