What? Don't your DVDs have more than one audio track? Most of mine do. Well, sometimes english dubs are well done and stay very close to the original script, but some of them are total crap, have bad voice acting, and are inaccurate. It depends.

This weekend, I got volumes 3, 4, and 5 of the Berserk manga!

I won't trust the ones made in Taiwan due to inconsistency. At worst, none of the subtitles match or their timing is completely off.

Well, not like I need subtitles anymore... unless it's a terminology-filled story.

the copy of Orphen I saw was like that. Names kept changing, subtitles didnt sinc up some times (which made it hard to figure out who was saying what,) completely ruined the who experience. other than that, it was a good anime though.

Ooh, and some of the funniest ones I have heard:

Original Script: FINAL FUSION!
Wrong Subtitle: Eventual Integration!

Original Script: We're good friends!
Wrong Subtitle: Engaged!

Heh, I know you've never, nor probably ever will change your alias for good just like myself. But thanks for reading it trivia.

Apparently, I misspelled my chosen character's name the last time I updated.

Ah, okay. I've got some free time before I have to crack skulls this evening so I'll see what I can do about it. I've still got other things I have to do before then so no promises. :/

I know you are not one to change your name either Wonko. This is more-so for the new members who sign up on NG then join the club to later on change their name. I'm asking of this because I can't do it myself at the moment and as to not cheat out the newer members who have atleast one post within the two month limit Tink set up. I'm sure you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to search for members like this. It's not like I'm forcing anyone to do this, only to take one minute out of their day to do so that way when I do get around to it I'm not searching for thirty minutes for each of the seven or so members who do decide they want a different alias.

Man, I guess there is something about me that just really pisses you off isn't there, that makes you sick to your stomach. I know of a few clashes and as far as I know we tied ends with those. Why start back up again? Unless I really do piss you off that much. Belive me, if I wasn't crippled connection and cpu wise I'd do all this crap myself without hassling the members.

The Naruto club was made because it's such a big series and has such a big fan base. It's for the hard-core Naruto fans more or less. I mean, why not talk about it on occasion, it is anime afterall. Just because some members are talking about one show/manga doesn't mean that you can't throw out another show to discuss about either.

Best Buy is 'buying' out what little competion they have left. I can't find half of the items that I could at Media Play. Crap society, come to an end already.

At 2/20/06 01:55 PM, Wonko-the-Sane wrote: And whats with this "Tarfoot" crap I see everywhere here? Fuck the east coast.

Haha. You'll find that most states are proud of their history. I'm sure you know North Carolinas, it's the same with Georgia too. Although around here people seem to be more proud of the fact that they have the Rebel flag on their trucks which are bigger than the average truck.

a damn good anime...but I did get a little annoyed by a few little errors/changes made in the dub of that show like at the beginning of the series, Hardia called Orphen Krysanelo (his name is actually Krylancelo) ...although I'm not sure if I spelled his name right. One thing that really confused me was that in the sub, those giant blue wolf-like creatures were called dragons, but in the dub, they're called wolfen.

Okay, I got freaked out and upset this morning when I was reading vol. 4 of Berserk....

****SPOILER****
Guts got ass-raped! WTF! That's not something I want happening to the main character. It should have happened differently, like if Donovan tried, but Guts killed the motherfucker or something.

If I had my DVDs with me, I could take screenshots for the win, but ever since I moved to Japan for temporary studies, it's not likely anymore...

Hm... what else...

DVD: "CHANGE!! Shin Getter Robot - The Last Day of the Earth"
Original Script: Just forget it.
Wrong Subtitled: Don't mind that shit.

(Apparently, they took the profane equivalent of "stuff" from movies or rude teenagers I'm guessing. XD)

yeah, they were called dragons on mine too, but the names of characters were changing to. Like Leiqi(or what ever the baby forest dragon was called,) some times came up as Richard on the subs, and the dragon was called Saint black dragon sometimes and holy dark dragon on other occasions. They even changed between calling the school Fang tower and tooth tower. I didnt really like the way it ended though...

Orphen searched relentlessly for a way to change his friend (forget her name) back into a human, and even protected her from attacks from other sorcerers, but she still tried to kill him all the way up to the very end.

Response to Anime Club 2006-03-01 14:57:06

I'm not trying to be impaitent here but I really would like to know if I got scammed so I'll ask my question again, has anyone ever ordered from advfilms because I ordered some RahXephon off of them but all I got was a conformation e-mail nothing about a tracking number or any of that they immediatley took the money off of my moms credit card though and I ordered it 2 weeks ago. So what I'm asking is has anyone else had problems with them?

Alright, cool. The last volume to Battle Royale is coming out. It would be nice to see an Anime made from that that followed the Manga perfectly. But the chances of that happening may just be too rare.

SPOILER FOR AKIRA*******

Things are different in the manga, sort of an addition, like at the end of the anime, when the city was destroyed...well that is only half the manga. After that Akira and Tetsuo take over the ruined city and Tetsuo has an assistant that does the businessy stuff. Eventually it ends Tetsuo turning into that big baby thing and Akira destroying him, though.

END O SPOILER******************
