The 6 Akira Mangas are pretty good, but Naruto aint too bad, but if you've seen the whole series there may be no reason to. You can also try Bleach

You want a reccomendation, well, I got over 200, but let me label some of which I think are incredibly good if you haven't them yet.

1. A.I. Love You
2. Ai Aori Yoshi
3. Battle Royale
4. Battle Vixens
5. Chobits
6. Crying Freeman
7. DearS
8. GTO
9. Happy Mania
10. I.N.V.U.
11. Lament Of The Lamb
12. Mahoromatic
13. Maison Ikkoku< This is a must, if you like the author Rumiko Takahashi
14. Mars
15. Negima
16. Onegai Teacher< Only two volumes
17. Offered
18. Psychic Academy
19. Negima
20. Ranma 1/2
21. Saikano
22. Samurai Executioner
23. Sanctuary
24. Sarai< Yes, that's actually a manga, google it if you don't believe me
25. Sensual Phrase
26. Tokyo Tribes< But I may be the only one that understands the Hip-Hop Flavor/culture
27. Warriors Of Tao
28. Wounded Man

Read any one of those and you'll find yourself buying every volume, well maybe that's just me...

Try Bleach, Detective Conan (STILL sold in the states as Case Closed, even in the Manga format >_<), and Hellsing.

Okay, I recently saw Bastard!! It seems to me that series either come in 6, 13, or 26-episode chunks when it comes to anime. *shrug*
Anyways, I liked Bastard!! overall
*WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. HIDE THE CHILDREN.*

The main character, Dark Schneider, is a fucking AWESOME antihero. He takes the I-can-never-die thing that most main characters have and twists it around to I-can-die-but-I-never-fucking-stay-dead. I mean, he dies like seven times in the series, or at least gets wounded to the point where he's dead EXCEPT that he threw some spell RIGHT before dying that brings him back to life. Granted, he seems to follow the whole tradition of "the main character must hide their feelings," but at times it seems that not only is he hiding them, but he doesn't have them at all.
If there was one bit I felt was unnecessary, it was the whole bit involving the vampire. He just wasn't necessary to the storyline.
I was pleased that, unlike SOME anime, Bastard didn't shy away from having a girl show her breasts, but at the same time, they didn't have a girl go shirtless every other scene just for fanservice's sake. I've seen too many anime go too far to one extreme or the other (granted, most of those were on CN, and they were censored beyond recognition, but that isn't quite the point.) I hate it when an anime will show a shirtless guy, but not a shirtless girl. It's kinda messed up, ya know? :\
Now, I gotta say this: I realize the princess had a seal inside her, but they were breaking the OTHER seals they had found, NOT hers. So why was she in so much pain? Some kinda shared pain through having the seal in her at all now? Or was it because there was only one seal to block the God's release and so she was strained?
*END SPOILERS. BRING BACK THE CHILDREN*

All in all, I loved Bastard, but there were some places it could improve.

Tenchi Muyo

i've seen the Anime

Pokemon (ALOT Better than the show trust me!)

The one in English anyway.

Figure 17

Haven't heard of that.

Chobits

I've seen it In Japanese.

Cardcaptor Sakura

I HATE THAT SHOW. They were high on something when they made it. As for manipulating the mind...eh, i don't understand how something so insignificant and childish could do so. (No offence to you)

You still wouldn't if you read volume 6. Trust me it won't make any difference.

Tenchi Muyo
i've seen the Anime

The manga continues the story where the anime left off.

Pokemon (ALOT Better than the show trust me!)
The one in English anyway.

Figure 17
Haven't heard of that.

There is also an anime of this. It's VERY good even if it is rated Y7.

Chobits
I've seen it In Japanese.

Cardcaptor Sakura
I watched that when I was 10.

Read the manga. It has a few thing in it that you never even knew of! Trust me on this!

Inuyasha
Pretty much the same thing as the Anime

True but it does "show" more! *wink* *wink*

in Japan, 13 episodes would be one season. 26 is two. Six episodes is usually an OVA, but in Bastard!!'s case, something happened to the manga's creator, and they cancelled production out of respect for him.

Well the way I see it is when Inuyashas mother fornicated with Inuyashas father Inuyashas father was shaped like a human. Kind of like sessomoru Sometimes he looks human and some times hes a demon dog.

I've started watching Full Metal Panic! and after two episodes I can say that it's one of my favorites. The DVDs are in both English and Japanese w/ English Subtitles, and it's my goal to watch all 24 episodes in both languages so that I don't miss anything. If I had just watched it in Japanese, I wouldn't have heard the girls call Sousuke their "trash bitch" in episode 2, and if I had just watched it in English, I wouldn't have been able to read the signs and text (ironically, only the voices are translated into English for the English language version). The next anime series I intend to purchase is Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu!, if I can find a box set.

Full Metal Panic! is great! I only have the first dvd(4eps) and I'm already addicted to it. I also plan to see Fummofu, that is, after I watch all the eps of the first season.

just got the nov issue of anime insider (I hate living in australia) and the new IGPX anime looks good, the first truly international anime, made by igstudios in conjunction with toonami, still be original japanese with english dub though, did anybody catch the original 5 5minuit long clips from 2003? BTW: mark hamill (star wars)? what a score for the star rating of this anime.

I saw the 5 minute mini-episodes. I'm glad that they managed to keep all of the characters and teams the same, and they switched the focus of the anime from mecha combat over to racing. Do you like Team Satomi's new blue & yellow mechs or old white mechs better?

Not only that, and it's fun watching it in its dubbed equivalent. All thanks to ADV, who does good dubs to the point it's fun to rewatch while hearing it in English.

And after watching "Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu", comes "Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid".
