Removing Flash's context menu
I always thought that it was impossible to remove it completely, but then I stumbled upon this. If you scroll down there's a link to an example where they have completely replaced the old one, and if that is possible, then surely it must also be possible to remove it completely.. right? :)
I downloaded the files for it, but it keeps giving me an error and there's quite a lot of code so I won't bother experimenting more with it today.

Yes. very homosexual indeed.

Thats pretty snazzy stuff.. would you be able to use it to completley remove it then?

Custom right click example doesn't work for me...maybe cuz I have flash player 9?
Just a question but why would you want to remove the right click menu?
Hi there!
Luis Said:

Or something along those lines...
Anyway, meany! :P, jk I knew it was a joke from the beginning...I love you
RE: Right click menu
Hmm...so would you like be able to make a menu skin yourself and have it look all cool and not...normal? that would be pretty great...but besides that I don't see why you would want to get rid of it, since you can just customize it using AS (at least in AS2 you can...probably in AS3 too).

If it could be removed completely, I guess that you would be able to use the right mouse button for stuff in the game. Then of course there is the Mac users with only one mouse button that you would have to take into consideration though :P

It would be handy in a shooting game, left-click to shoot, right-click to reload.
GTA IV
So I got my PS3 and copy of GTA IV today (it was an early birthday present), so expect to see me even less over the next few months.

Only if you promise not to believe anything spouted by 40-somethings who understand video games about as well as they understand Ebonics :P
Granted I did see someone on a motorcycle today and wanted to hit them with a bat :P
But thinking and doing are very different, haha

Sweet. I'm going to get it today or tomorrow, hopefully.

Am I the only one here who has a parent who is ashamed of what I do for a living so they tell people I am trying to get a job at Pixar? Video game stigmas are so sticky these days.

Hmm...How could they be ashamed? Your making good money aren't you?
But then again..."yeah, he sits in front of a computer all day and makes games"...How could a parent not be ashamed of that
Ehh I just contradicted myself :P

You don't have to be amazing at Flash to be here, and have a good time. You should be a fairly frequent NG user, and visitor of the Flash forum who is looking to have a good time, and get to know the Users better.
My parents are actually really happy with what I'm doing...but then again..they don't want me to pursue games after highschool =(

capital "i" looks like a lowercase "L"
This game looks dope. Seems like it'll be a pretty slick first-person parkour game.

People are going to defend themselves because they saw nothing wrong with those. They found it as a fun Flash event.
Like when you guys have those days based on Luis and that guy who's sposed to be a panda.
Cept this is all submitted within an hour of each other and not all of the submissions are good.
Some people did put a lot of effort into their submissions but some didn't.
Pretty much a misunderstanding on both sides in my opinion, one misunderstands the reasoning as malicious and the other doesn't understand that Newgrounds is a business.
And blah blah blah.

Dang. It has amazing detail and quality. I guess with each breakthrough, video games add more and more realism.

I'm not impressed by this game....at all. :/ Whats the big deal?
At 5/8/08 11:58 PM, ImpendingRiot wrote: I was pretty underwhelmed too. The city looked dead, and too bright. The parkour feats would probably be a lot more impressive in third person. First person should be for shooters, not platformers. Even if this a hybrid, which it looks like, it'll be clunky.
Hmm, you're right. I thought that it was missing something too, and now that you've mentioned it, the only people I saw in the trailer were those couple of guards at the end getting beat up. The only life I witnessed during the parkour bit was yourself, and a group of seagulls that you scare while running. It would have better if had a grungier vibe, and if the backgrounds were desaturated a little, I agree.
The thing I've always hated about first-person platforming games is that it's hard to gauge depth. :(

I dabble. I'm big into physical stuff but I'm not much for really working out. I feel that I get a better work out and have a hell of a lot more fun PKing it up and breakdancing compared to lifting weights. It's much more stimulating and entertaining.
Does anyone think it is possible to make a Parkour flash game?
I've had ideas for one for quite some time now, HOPEFULLY, it'll be put into effect this summer.
good god what is this thread? 1000 pages long???
