I was modded around 2,500 posts I think. It doesn't take a large post count at all.
Meanwhile Kirk needed like a 100,000 or something but some of us develop late right?

That was the joke.

I had such a high post count when I got modded because I post so fast. Yeah, that's it totally, for real.
Also, you got modded with far too few posts, you upstart! <3
It's kind of weird now that i think about it. My low experience points and level make me a very powerless user on the site. Yet I can ban people to smitherines.

GO AWAY BOMTOONS.

You can also vote on the monthly awards thing, which must piss off all the mid-level users =P

Mods should have sections on their user pages where Tom explains why there were modded :P
"He had like a bazillion decent-ish posts and it felt awkward not to..."
FYI, the Internet will soon be obsolete...
Introducing, THE GRID
This is seriously one of the most awesome flash games I've played in a while.
Those crazy japanese!

It's nice to see Fox news being characteristically reserved and pragmatic in their reporting :P

Wow, agree with you 100%. I was confused at first, but once I got it down, I loved it. It gets pretty hard as well! Very unique and interesting, and funny that the whole game is a big bitch-slap fight.

Bloody wow! That was brilliant! But 'The Rose Bride of Legend' - what the hell?
I didn't know Inglor tested these things...

Oh dear, probably only 10% of the people here will actually get this joke.
Do You Like Your SN?
I can't really say that I do, frankly. For one, my number is 02, which is like a sequel. Also, there is a placeholder 0 in 02, meaning that there can be up to another 99 jmtb's. I feel like I have gotten lodged into it though, and now it's too late to change.
My screen name stands for John Mountain Bike (MTB) '02, 02 being the year I signed up for AIM. Anyone have a backstory to their SN?

Nah, there's more than that :P This is an educated bunch, and anyway - you and me account for about that proportion of this topic as it is.

Well, I had a really lame alias from when I was like 13 and used to play on Runescape. I mean, really lame. And all the lameness hit me at once, like one day I was signing in to something, and I though: "Wait - that's the lamest user name ever!"
So, in a blind panic I changed my account name on everything I could to the first word that came to mind, which happened to be one which summed up my state of mind at the time pretty well. I've made too much stuff under this to switch to something more original at this point, although I am AKA'd as Jack Bauer when I occasionally go on FPS's, purely because it's a disposable enough name that I can completely destroy its reputation without much caring :P
And that's the story of my user name. As for the original lame - I keep it for the odd sign-in for old times' sake, but take my word for it: It was unbelievable lame.

I got it, I got it! Yay! I'm in the 10%-club!
SN
I began using the name 'Xeptic' for all sorts of internet and videogame stuff a good 8 or 9 years ago. I don't know where I saw it, I think one of my brother's friends used it once, I thought it looked pretty cool. So anyway, a couple of years ago when I was heavily addicted to Ghost Recon Desert Siege someone pointed out that the pronunciation of Xeptic is basically the same as ceptic, as in ceptic tanks. So I was a little bummed by that discovery, turned out I've been wandering around the internet with an alias that's basically a fancy word for shit for the last couple of years. Oh well, I'm still using it, I rather like it.
Whilst doing my research on the spelling of the word ceptic I also found out that X-Ceptic is some sort of cure for all kinds of pains and infections. So that compensates for the shit I suppose.

I got it :D
Back in the Inglor days.. ahhhh....
Re: Usernames
Senti is short for Sentinel. When I first signed up for Newgrounds I went by the name of Sentinel_specter because I THOUGHT THAT SHIT WAS RAW.
It was actually Dan Fleming (of Burststudio) I believe, who shortened it up to Senti, and it's stuck. I prefer to think of it as a unique name, rather than something that is just short for something kind of lame. I'm cool with it.
My real name is Ben, so it's cool if you guys refer to me as that, too. I don't care much.
Re: SN
I finally stuck with this one after years of switching through names for games. It used to be crazy_chihuahua_man, but I shortened it up and gave it the Capital treatment. Someone on Xbox Live had taken it when I tried to make my account a while back, so that one is CrazedChihuahua, and I think I like that more then what I have now. Alas, I can't change the name here. I might consider changing it elsewhere though.
On a side note, anyone else have what might be considered an embarassing email based on their SN? For instance, I had to make a new one as I didn't want 'crazychihuahua@...' to be on my records and such for my schooling, so I made a new one.

Hi Ben!
I'm in the 10% club aswell! Yippie!
Nickname
I don't even know what SN stands for but I guess it's short for nickname...
You'd think I have a massive story behind my name (being a guy with a comp etc.) but I can't really remember why I chose it so the story is probably not that great... All I remember is I wanted to sign-up just to ask questions so I just tried different random nicknames and this was the first one to not be taken... surprise surprise!
I ended up answering questions and staying here though... I can't believe how much time I've spent on Newgrounds Forums. It's really the only place I visit.
It feels like home.

I can't remember why mine either. I had like 100 different nicknames before this D:
I'm a nub.
Adam :)
AdMan
adman1993 (adman was taken and it was the year of my birthday)
I think adman came from me thinking of a name so i could subscribe to the lego magazine when i was like 7
.
RE: SN
Ehh, mine isn't anything too special, just a stupid pun of G-Unit. I was originally Noobish-Pineapple but who seriously wants a name like THAT! I kinda just made the name that cuz I signed up when I was 11 (but I'm 13 now, don't worry) and I really hate it now, I'm even embarrassed at my new name...Stupid puns WERE funny, now they are just out of style and I feel like a retard having such a terrible name. It doesn't seem all that bad till someone else says it (like Luis did...yayz!)
RE: Mod
I just noticed yesterday. Someone had asked a question and there was a reply by The-Swain I thought it was kinda weird that he was a mod since I don't see him around much and I just thought he was awesome at flash, not anything mod/admin related. So what does The-Swain do besides make awesome flashes?
Because I know its not just because hes a good flash-maker, because Adam Phillips isn't a mod...so I find that kinda weird.
Top 50?
How often does the top 50 get updated? Because right now the number 1 flash has a score of 4.50...but there are plenty of flashes with higher scores out there but they aren't even on the list. Does the top 50 include reviews and any of that stuff?

I met him when I went to the NG office with Luis. Swain is buds with Tom, and like I said he's a pretty good all around go who is very knowledgeable about the scene. Also, he might be a lurker, not a poster.

Ehh its always possible that hes a lurker and not a poster...because I guess thats what most mods are, I barely see any of the mods at the bottom of the page posting around (unless they are politics mods and that sort...I never go into politics)

I'm one of the 90%, sadly
UserNames
More like Username? Correct guys? Anyways, My username originates from my last name which is Ruediger. Due to this, friends and coaches call me Rudy from the feature movie "RUDY" which has a guy named Rudy Ruediger in it, whom was some football player in Notre Daum. God, on how many times I have to tell this story.
Anyways.
Pico Day Thread.
How about that Pico Day Thread? Could be coming out anytime soon... I honestly think the whole like 2 weeks before the actual date thing is lame. I always liked it at least a month or two ahead so you can release screen shots of your animations and show the public - and it'll be inspiration to see other's work.
The first Pico Day was the most enjoyable. Oh wlel.

I'm on/off with my rate of posting. Some weeks I post a lot, some weeks I mainly just lurk. All things considered though, I'm on NG every single day for at least a few hours doin' somethin'. I'd love to see liljim or someone check the logs for my account assuming their is some sort of system where you can actually check to see how much a user goes on the site and what they do on it.
I'm sure if a "checking" system like that doesn't exist now it's in the works. The little voice in my head tells me so. >:3
Anyway, I've been on the wonderful site for now over a year and then some. Said it once and I'll say it again, I ain't leavin' anytime soon. : )
SN
When me and the other original "founders" of The Duders created NG account we all thought it would be SUPER COOL to have our names like The[insert-somethin']duder. I was originally "TheOriginalDuder", which came from me being the first "duder" in the eyes of my ol' friend Kyle. Back when we were still able to change the names I never thought about changing it. Once I heard the names will be locked I decided to change it a bit to make it suit me better. So I toke out orginal and popped in criminal as it reflect both my personality and lifestyle more. :3
The only reason I don't change it now is a simple two... One, I can't think up a better username, I thought about Mullet_King, Mullet-Man. Criminal_Duder, Criminal(liked that one) and a few others. And for two........... I'm just don't care enouph.
RE: SN
Started as CSAddict1...CS was Counterstrike and 1...CSAddict was taken :(.
I moved on to fuhQ2...my brother and sister make fun of the fact that I say fuhhhhQ rather than the generic fuck you. I thought it was funny, but then again I think I was three or something.
Now I'm El-Presidente...I wanted Pres, President, Presidente, and El-Pres, but the assholes all had taken them and had about no posts, so I kinda got screwed there. I guess it was a power horde, male, dominance thing. :P.
Call me whatever the fuck you want...I really don't care.
NEXT ONE?
WHO KNOWS!?
I so call that
