I've recently started wearing a watch again. Thats about it.
I wear a watch and that's it too. It's functional you know, unlike other types of body decorations.

I never ever wear a watch, its just uncomfortable for me, same for anything else really... including clothes (hah, not really ;p)

Work habits
I'm pretty sure we bring this topic up every 10 pages but i dont care, do you have any particular work habits? Is there a particular genre of music you listen to that gets you in a productive mood perhaps.. or maybe you have your flash menus set up an usual way that somehow makes sense for you. etc etc
One of my work habit things is to e-mail myself. If i dont e-mail myself I'll forget to do it. Guaranteed. I was just thinking about how silly it is that i do that. Other shit that i do without noticing is when i open a new flash document i turn all snapping off, and that stupid magnet tool off. Like i could do it with my eyes closed probably. I dont even think about it anymore... its just automatic. i also have to have my flash movie on the left monitor. I think thats about it.

Im always listening to music anyways no matter what i do :P
As for particular work habits, i absolutely MUST have something that constantly distracts me and prevents me from actually doing any work.
you never said it had to be a good or productive habit :P
Work Habits
I spend my first half hour before work getting all the internet funtime out of my system. The Firefox button is so tempting, but if I get all that email/web browsing/facebook out of my system before working life is much easier.
I have created playlists of music to avoid being a music snob and pressing buttons to change the music. Getting over the fact that music needs to be changed was a huge issue for me, and not playing DJ saves a bunch of time.
Hi there!
Working Habits
Let's see, I always listen to music, most of the time soundtracks or songs that fit the atmosphere of the animation I'm working on. Snapping is always turned off here as well. I do always turn on the rulers and I usually add a couple of guides to keep things nice and clean. When I've worked on something and have been looking at the same piece for a very long time I quit Flash and spent half an hour or more doing something else. After that I open up Flash again and immediately test the scene or movie to see if I still like it, either that or I'll show it to a friend. I have some sort of malfunction in my brain which makes me see every minor imperfection in an animation. I can spend hours working on barely visible details, which takes way too much time.
Reading Festival
So tickets for Reading (and Leeds) '08 go on sale in about an hour. Is anyone else here gonna go? The Killers are playing on the Saturday, hopefull the rest of the line up will be pretty good too.

The fesitival is always great. The camping is the best part. It's gonna be expensive this year though. £155 for a ticket (plus booking fee plus p&p). The whole festival will probably cost me about £300+
Do you guys really have festivals over there? I thought it was all tours, like the Warped Tour etc.
Festivals
Multi-day festivals are becoming a dying breed here in the US because of the costs to operate them and due to the possible legal issues that happen from housing people in the vicinity. Also because every new Woodstock we hold ends up in riots.
There are a few left, but most operate under the idea that you go home, and come back the next day. It's too much of a legal hassle these days.
Hi there!
We have quite a few around here.. Its great :)

Phenomenon on Homestar Runner
Anyone here watches Homestar Runner? And in particular StrongBad Emails. If you do, you've probably noticed the 43th email, "little questions". It was written by a guy named Viklas from Sweden. Guess what, that email has it's own page on a Homestar Runner wiki.
Anyway, to the point. In that wiki they think Viklas is probably a misspelling of "Niklas". This is not true though. How do I know? Because I'm Viklas.
It was back in 2003 so keep in mind I was only about 11-12 years old. Me and my friend, Lukas, used to combine our names and use it as a nick for different occasions. The combined name was Viklas.
Anyway, it was just cool stumbling upon this and I think I'm abit famous in the Homestar Runner community (even though they don't know it's me).
Awesome. :D
RE: Festivals
Its a dying breed indeed.. i think currently the only true festival environment here in the US is Bonaroo. which is coming up i believe.

That's pretty sweet. I sent strongbad an email once...I didn't realize they were 3 years behind on their responses!
Do you remember composing the email?

No, not really. I just remember reading the response and how happy I was he answered. Of course, at that time I didn't realies he was mocking me. :P
ANd I honestly thought for years that "Stark DÃ¥lig" was some weird english words I'd never heard.
I never would've guessed it was two swedish words (Stark=Strong, DÃ¥lig=Bad) because I didn't understand he could've just looked it up in a dictionary or something.
But yeah, it's pretty awesome.

RAGE AGAINST THE FUCKING MACHINE ARE PLAYING READING AND I HAVE A MOTHERFUCKING TICKET. FUCKING WIN

Yeah, I think those guys are trying to make a comeback or something. They're playing on the Lowland Festival in Holland as well alongside: Incubus, Flogging Molly, Porcupine Tree, Editors, KT Tunstall, Kaiser Chiefs, The Verve, Queens of the Stone Age, Fiction Plane, Saybia, Pete Murray, Kate Nash, Patrick Watson, Serj Tankian, The Hives and the Foo Fighters to name a few. I'm thinking of going there.
As kirk is already aware, i've decided to spend all the money ive saved up for new computer on tickets for download, and leeds, and next meetup and associated costs.
thats alot of money down the drain of fun and enjoyment :P

Homestar Runner
Seen the e-mail called "Funny". My brother sent that one day. I think it's one of the funnier ones that he's done, although there are definitely some really good ones. I remember I used to love that site, and it kind of pissed me off when my brother's got in while mine didn't, but whatever, now I'm on Newgrounds so it's okay.
MY E-PENIS IS BIGGER THAN YOURS
8=================================>
...and this is my fag...
They have a bunch of festivals in the states. Coachella, Bonaroo, Burning Man...etc.
I'm going to All Points West this summer actually and I'm looking real forward to that. It'll be the second time I'll see Radiohead and I cannot wait.
I would definitely LOVE to see a Rage show. Maybe next time they are in the states.
The "Fight" Against YouTube
It's not really a 'fight' but it seems that Egoraptor has taken it upon himself to fight off all the stolen videos of the Awesome series. He's using the Content Verification Program to take off any videos that were stolen. He even put up a small Awesome short that says that you won't find any more Awesome on YouTube and you should go to Newgrounds.
I didn't even know that YouTube had such a system. It's funny that we all complain about YouTube stealing (well.. the users) and we don't even do anything about it.. But I guess that under this system only the author can actually remove the videos. Anyways, if you want you can read Egos full article: Here.
