Pixar uses tweens two (i am not talking about how ugly 3d is right now).
His animation are very good and i can't see why you are saying this, although he uses tweens the spacing is right his got anticipation
Please if you post that you disagree please post why, don't post: i study animation therefor i know better...also what makes you say he is a bad animator ?
The laws of animation are more guidelines then laws, if someone doesn't use anticipation for example but his animations look good he is a good animator.

Can't you just type a normal paragraph? Haha, I tried for a little bit to block up all the separate lines, but it's too much work just to quote you. Uh, first of all I believe what MRat is talking about when he says "bad animator" is the fact that animation is generally thought of as traditional, paper animation where all you have is a pencil and it's your/your pencil's job to make the character move and it's all FBF and there's generally no "tweening" allowed.

First off, your right but mostly wrong about Pixar using "tweens", they use in-house software called Marionette that allows animators to translate their 2-dimensional line drawings pretty fluidly into 3D and yes they do tweening in a sense - tweening stands for "In-between (ing)" where you just draw the frames of movement in between two "Keyframes", which are the two extremes of the motion being completed. However, they really don't use the computer to draw those frames in, they're very nostalgic in how they do things and stick to the original/traditional Disney way of animating, which is a large part of why their Feature Animations are such a higher caliber of quality then all the other 3-D recycled garbage that gets spewed out.

As far as JohnnyUtah goes, is he a bad animator in that sense? Sure, but he's a damn good artist, one of my favorites of anywhere, and if he has tween his drawings to get it how he wants then that's fine with me, I just to love to see anything done by him.

Artists

People I like here on NG - Eric Drobile, Ed Skudder (LeftFootFirst), Mindchamber, Luis, Marc M, AlantheBox, I'm probably forgetting a few...Anyways, in terms of new talent, I haven't really seen anyone lately that I could file under Up and Coming, but I guess I'd say people you see in Pass the Flash and more high-level collabs like One O Clock Jump would give you a pretty good idea. Nathaniel Milburn's probably one, I'd like to see more from MRat too, I think he's in that category as well.

always behind schedule.

Favorite Artists

The-Swain: He's a artist whos greatly improved in his skill in Flash since he started and has a highly creative art style in characters and backrounds. I also love the way he animates, I think it flows well.

Johnny-Utah: Obvious reasons.

Rtil: He's perhaps one of the more creative and original artists i've seen lately in art and concepts. He also creates very dynamic animations with interesting angles and effects.

Ivorydrive: I like his style of art integrated with simple game concepts. Just thought i'd mention him because he's not terribly famous.

Luis: I'm a whore.

Theres others but I don't feel like going through the whole list.

Are you guys making a Flash Underdog List? Cause that would be awesome.

Yes, that would be awesome, a compliment to the audio underdogs. Since the underdog list account isn't specified to audio, you could probably share it with the flash guys all in one. Flash people could go there for AP music, AP guys could collaborate with the flash underdogs to get some good original music for their animations.

Oh, I suppose if I wanna talk about something else, I have to put it in bold...

Yes! Bad rig. >:(
<3

It's always strange browsing through other forums' lounge threads, and seeing the different posting methods. You guys all bold your topics. The Audio Forum lounge just posts however the hell it wants to.

It's so neat and tidy, right now the AF lounge is posting pictures of exotic fruits and getting a response of "sex fruit lololololol". The AF surely is the immature little brother of the FF. With occasional flashes of intelligence (rig).

So... yes, underdog list. I'd like to see the flash guys get in on it.

Come on. We already got sick of it even before your 1 Hour Challenge. Remember the One Hour Frame by Frame Collab! We put that in a while back, and then Coolio just came by and stole it. I feel like we have now overdone the idea so much that it's kind of useless and may actually be downvoted for poor quality. I'd try and avoid it if I were you. You should try starting a real collab though, and recruit for good artwork.

I watched an episode and I didn't find it anywhere near as funny as Awesome Show,
Maybe I should give it a chance though.

Utah

Bad animation to me is animation that doesn't apply the principles properly. For what Utah does, he's fine, but he could still do MUCH more dynamic work and have the characters personalities come through is even better ways. Yes he tweens, and no that isn't what makes him bad. What makes him bad is the lack of depth and dimension to his characters movements. They're all flat and on one plane. The drawings aren't, but the movements are. It's just not nearly as good as it could be.

Once again, he's still one of my favourite animators, but I just don't think his animation itself is good.

Other Favourites

HOLYSHIT! I completely forgot Ed Skudder, though he ditched NG when he got in the industry, which I find lame, his animations are just TOO GOOD!

And how could leave out Eric Drobile?!?! He's possibly my biggest inspiration!

Thanks CONAIR!

For saying you like me, haha! Or at least want to see more.

Firfox Spellchecker

Mine still works on NG.

Bad animation
Sometimes bad animation just 'works'... Marc M is a good example of 'bad animation' that just feels right. Theres something about the crudeness of the animation that makes it even more hilarious. I couldnt imagine his work being as funny if it were done in an Adam Phillips style or something.

The first Dad's Home is the same deal. The crudeness of the animation makes it entertaining in my opinion.. he sort of lost that a bit in the second installment of the series. It's kind of forgivable though because you naturally get better and your technique unconciously improves.. I just felt that the new one was over the edge in polish and it just didnt come out as strong as the first one.

Well thats my 2 cents. Sometimes bad animation is what makes it good... if that makes any sense.

Well, the tribute that stamper did ("Rebecca") was actually still pretty damned funny even though it was much more refined, but I agree... sometimes, bad is good. Bad Guys, for example.

It's a trick question. :3
A) You work hard and gain respect/admiration and some will begin to admire more and more and ya see where it goes.
B) Ya make something someone just really likes or is fund of and they like and of course, as if they were following a partern, some will become fanboys liking you.
C) Drugs.... intense drugs and alchole to force the person to love you. >:)
D) 42
E) Barrel Roll?
F) Columbus.
I)????
2) Profite...
