I just scribbled the eraser over a large black box though, for testing.

My ideal game is to make it a physics based action puzzle game (Kinda like Portal, with obstacles you have to overcome with clever use of physics and such). But I don't think I'll immediately make it into a game right now. It was just a concept test.

iPhone?
So I'm thinking I'll stick to the iPhone. I was considering LG's Prada but shit that phone is for girls. Anyways, anyone have the iPhone here? I want a really awesome touch screen phone and besides the prada, that's the only other phone out there that I like.

I'm gonna get it unlocked and put it on T-Mobile. Yay? Nay?

I was merely pointing out the irony, not trying to insult you.

I figured as much. hence why there was a sentence preceding that... :3

Besides, it's always good to build up suspense, especially when it WON'T get let down.

Not really. The gravity shift in Mindscape is automatic, unlike manually shifting it in Glaiel's engine.

Does any one know any good .swf hosting sites? All the good ones seem to be either taken down due to abuse or hacked, and the big ones are, well, crap.

Cloverfield

I watched Cloverfield the other night and I have to admit that I was impressed! I was expecting a somewhat weak, overhyped movie thanking it's success mainly to it's huge ass internet viral campaigns, but I actually had a really good time. Thanks to the shaky camera, great CGI and relatively unknown actors the movie felt really believable. Good times!

Not bad, although I don't feel like there was enough force behind the wrist flick to send the cup flying like that.

I'm thinking about seeing this one. It's been ages since i've been to the movies and the movie itself seems somewhat original. I heard it's like the blair witch project, with the amateur camera and stuff. I peeked a bit on the internet about it and i read that there are monsters and things going on also, which is kinda a turnoff for me, but i shall try to not make a judgment until i've seen the movie

Imagine is Blair Witch Project and Godzilla had a baby. That would be this movie.

On a movie level, it's pretty decent. I felt like it was a bit more documentery than movie, but I got the impression it was supposed to be that way.

My biggest beef was not the camera control, but the fact that the people who made it must have watched Alien at least 5 times and had played Starcraft for at least 10 years.

The best part was my friend and I making as many zergling noises with perfect timing, on top of our Starcraft jokes.

BUT, I so have to say, it was good. I guess it was also realistic to a point... if you had a giant monster attacking New York... EXCEPT FOR THE ONE PART WHERE THE BITCH DOESN'T BLEED TO DEATH AFTER GETTING A HUGE PEICE OF RE-BAR THROUGH THE CHEST AND RUNNING AROUND!

I'd give it a 4/5, I guess. The monster was pretty well done.

Photo-Flash Hybrid

Call me late to the picnic, but I want some crit on this.

This is (hopefully) going to be the menu for AFD6 (if you couldn't tell).

I kinda based my design off of the Advance Wars website, but it's nowhere near as awesome.

But, it is my first time crossing PS and Flash, and I want to know what people who know what the fuck Flash is think about it.

I really just focused on the animating of the hand, rather than the motion of the cup. I dunno, it took me an hour to do.

Looks pretty good. I would change the volume of the soundeffects a bit, my ears were bleeding.

There's a bit more added on. Some chains and plots of where the buttons will be.

I didn't touch the sounds, so keep it low I guess? It's not loud on my laptop at all.

It's really loud on this computer. I put the volume basically as low as it can possibly go and it was still as loud as a normal game would be on normal volume. I'd lower it, but other than that, the graphics are amazing. One suggestion is make it so that when they hit, they get a little smaller, knocking the thing back and then bounce off.

JMTB02!
Happy Birthday Betch.

I was, but it won't let me upload over older versions of the file.

So, even if I upload my new "menu.swf", it only shows me the really old "menu.swf"

So, I can only use it, like, once.

Pretty slick, I must say. The sound grates my ears, though. Perhaps you should either lower the sound, or use Audacity and make it... I don't know, less "twangy"?
