I was interested in how folk select what to listen to at any given moment - not just whether or not you buy your albums.
I find my own habits changing this year - up until last year, I'd almost always listen to entire albums. if I had to head off somewhere, I'd listen to the remainder when I got back. Y'know, because a good album should be like a story. Sad fact is, too few albums are - for every 'Illinois' by Sufjan Stevens, or mashup from DJYoda there's ten albums where changing the song order wouldn't make much difference.
For a while, I used Pandora a lot and also used the NGAP player pretty exclusively for a few weeks. It boggles my mind that (on an IBM-compatible at least) you can just download the applet, start playing , turn off randomisation and thanks to the rate at which folk submit stuff to the Audio Portal listen to a ton of music only one single time in your life.
Recently, after being asked to make a mixtape for someone, I've just been using iTunes' shuffle, making use of tags and rating in iTunes to only listen to particular sub-sets of my library.
I do enjoy listening to randomised lists, but maybe there's something to be said for going back to a favourite album, listening to it over and over when in a creative streak and just associating it with productivity. Randomisation kinda loses that a bit as you don't get the same Pavlovian effect when you just hear a shorter piece or if it starts to lose its context.

i listen to mostly internet radio when im online... i usually dont have a particular song im in the mood for... more like a genre or time period so it works out fine..
Pandora? Or do you have other recommendations?
In regards to my yearly goals, i dont really have a concrete goal in mind, but i try and shoot for 4 movies a year... something reasonable.
With your high quality, 'twill be a treat.
I'm going to start churning out shitloads of tiny games and ignore their quality or lack thereof, only aiming for unique mechanics.
P.S. trig1 - if you read this, Fruity Fish doesn't count as a 'tiny game'.
