Lets get off the topic of consoles!

I got suspended from school today, so I have next Monday and Tuesday off. I don't see the point of a suspension, I mean they punish you by making you stay at home. I'll be on newgrounds all day for both days. :P

wow, I completely forgot.
Lets me start by saying our school has more people than it can hold. The corridors are crowded and it's hard to walk through without being bumped into by someone. Mainly me =P
In the past year I've been pushing through the corridors with no remorce for the people I 'push' out of the way. and yesterday a crowd of around 40 people surrounded my locker trying to get me to appologise. I stayed strong and didn't appologise. I got taken to the assistant principals office and questioned. This morning at class assembly I got told to go the the assistant principals office. I spent 1.5 periods in there with my friend discussing what we'd done wrong etc. and we were told that we were getting suspended. He got it worse, he got possesion of weapon too :o

He kept an iron bar in his locker and pulled it out to defend himself against the big crowd.

I've noticed something. Luis put in the first post that pretty much anyone can join in this topic. But the thread title is pretty discouraging to people who have low posts, because they think "reg" means "people with a ton of posts"

We get very few non-regs here.

And i think suspension is something that schools do to get parents involved. If your parents are mean (strict), suspension is a bad thing, but some parents will let thier suspended kids do anything they want, which is a good thing i geuss. but renders suspension useless.

Bad boy. :P Yeah, I don't see the point in suspensions either, unless however there is some demerit system in there that if you fail that class you get expelled. D:

My school sucks so bad (its only for guys=LAME) that it won't allow us have long hair. ONLY this year I've got suspended 4 times for having long hair. :D Im such the rebel. And now seeing how I'm on vacations my hair reaches my nose now. :)

Being mainly a community of Nerds (not all ofcourse), have any of you ever had to go throguh alot of bullying, or administer bullying to others...?

I whent through a good amount of bullying. Mostly from grade 7, 9, and 10. Now, ive never actually been in a fight, nor been beaten up. Most bullys are pussys and wont pick a fight with someone my size (6 foot, 210 pounds, and far from fat). But, i never had a good enough reason to pick a fight either.

so, any of you have any run'ins with the bully type?

Yeah, I once got bullied by this guy Luis. But then I told my mom and she made it better. jk :)

But being serious, not really. And I'm not the type of person who would take part in that kind of stuff.

Oh, always have... still do.

I'm in ninth grade (already in tenth though :P), And i'm a year younger than I'm supposed to be, so i'm the "little kid" of the class. I couldn't do much because someone would always do something stupid to me or threaten or something... It still happens, not that much because im taller nowadays, but it still does. :(

And yes, seeing it somehow most of the community is full of nerds. :P Or not nerds, just people that aren't idiots/n00bs.

Yes, and yes.

I was a hell child, seriously. I was also "The weird kid" and since I'm only 5'2" people underestimated me quite a bit. I have this problem where I black out when my adreniline levels get too high. My blood runs cold, instinct takes over... it's bad. Here's some rundowns...

Was getting bullied by two brothers. Broke into their house and got in a Fight with them I was 15. Broke one's collarbone. Got arrested.

Fight with fat kid, I think I punched him in the face for a good 2 minutes because he was bullying one of my friends. Got arrested.

Got the shit kicked out of me by these 3 Italian kids because I had long hair. Not cool.

Punched a 60 year old teacher because he touched my shoulder. Got suspended.
(If it wasn't for being able to used "I was abused as a kid" I would have gotten expelled)

First day of 8th grade, I pushed some kid down a small amount of stairs (4 or so) because we had words and he told me to "Go back from wherever I came from" He bled. He didn't tell though. Smart move. I was crazy.

I got bullied by my stepfather pretty bad. He beat the shit out me at least 3 times a week. Fun times.

Then I dropped out of high school only 1 month into my freshman year because I was one of the only white kids in a very, very racist school. Was getting bullied pretty heavy there and those kids didn't fuck around. I pretty much said fuck school.

I dropped back in a year and a half later, so all turned out okay.

I'm sure if I think hard enough, I can think of more "I bullied/ got bullied" events...

I always seemed to belong to the middle tier. I got shit from only the biggest assholes, but I had many an opportunity to pass is out myself to those below me. In 9th grade, I was untouchable though. Three of my friends and I sort of became this "gang" (not the gangster type, more like the apathetic fuck off teenager one that couldn't be reached by anyone and were simply tolerated because the law said we had to be there) Seriously, I learned a bit later that our teachers literally had occasional meetings where we were the main topic! How bad ass is that?! We sat in the back of class playing "Magic" (don't laugh, when it was new it used to actually be cool), writing notes to our girlfriends on the desktops (they had classes there later and we knew where we all sat), and the teachers just ignored us.
All in all, we didn't make anybody's life hell in particular, it's just that nobody fucked with us... granted some people did have to get their ass kicked, but it was only ever because they had it coming.
High school was a bit different (our jr. high went till 9th), I never had to be a "freshman" and the "gang" made it to the same school, so we were still together, but eventually grew apart. Again though, nobody fucked with us... there were a lot of Bloods at our high school, and though we never called eachother "friends", we made sure we were definitely cool with eachother... usually involveld a liberal sharing of our special blend. Gotta' pay the man you don't want fuckin' with you, y'know?
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Never had to go through too much shit, not like it seems other people do and I've always been too empathetic to deal it out too much either. I'd always start feeling bad when we got some poor kid on the ground in tears. =(
11th and 12th grade was nothing... moved from a bad high school to a rich little bitch high school. By that time though, I didn't give a shit about anything at all. Wasn't there long enough to do the bully thing... usually showed up sometime around 3rd period and got bored and left by 5th.
By the way, I do have a decent job and a college education. I think I'm a relative rarity, but I found out doing well in high school to do well in life was just another lie like the DARE program.

God damn, I don't suppose you asked for a life story did you?

Fuck it!

It's sad because i see him walking around at recess looking to someone to talk to, or someone to hang out with. Eventually he finds someone, then he gets kicked out, and keeps his neverending quest for friends.

He tries to bully everyone to look cool even though hes a total pussy and is scared shitless of getting into a fight. Because he cant and wont be friends with the less cool kids who he bullies, and he has no chance with the "cool" kids he ultimatly is very lonely. He gets bullied quite alot, but he pretends not to notice at all. Many a time a bunch of peeps and i would throw tennis balls at his head while he its trying to play sport. The look on his face is priceless when he gets hit.
good times

Heh "your guy". I lol'd. It's exactly the same here, he's actually threatened me thrice this year, but when I stand up he goes all gay and shit "aren't we friends?" i lol everytime because it just looks so gay. :P reminds me, he got expelled this year. yay.

Damn, I guess I've got nothing on you for that... sucks man. For what it's worth, from about 8th to 12th grade was the absolute worst time of my life. It's where I learned all about the "system" and how fucked it is; about how people really don't give a shit about eachother.
8th grade some fucker ratted me out while I was smoking in the restroom, got searched and they found my pocket knife... which was more than 3" long and was a lock blade. Turns out according to the new bullshit zero tolerance policy that had just passed, that was a big problem. I got arrested and taken to the hall, 24 hours I was out, went to court a week later and got put on house arrest... then I was forgotten about. Once you're in the system (the REAL system) it's over. I was on house arrest for 8 fucking months because I had a god damn pocket knife... in my pocket. I hadn't even pulled it out.
Found out later on that I wasn't supposed to be on house arrest for more than a month. Didn't get expelled, just suspended for two weeks (you still have to go to school, it's part of your probation when you're a kid) It boosted the hell out of my reputation at school for it, but you can't lie to yourself... I wasn't happy about what happened at all.
Not sure why I said all that... guess I'm in a sharing mood.
Also have a story about a child molestor science teacher... nothing happened to me or my friends, but it turns out it came pretty close. Things did happen to other kids we were going to school with though.

Funny about that zero tolerance policy... it wasn't till after they started it that kids finally began gunning down their classmates on a regular basis.

My high school has over 3000 students, don't know if that is large in comparison to the nation, but its the largest in the state of Oregon, and we have a whole clique of them. They are referred to as the Reynolds Rejects-- my school is Reynolds High btw. My school is such a huge mixing pot of everything from rich kids to dirt poor kids to kids who have hundreds of friends and no brains, to nerds who have no friends, but too much brains.

I have never been bullied to tell you the truth. Right now supposedly someone wants to beat me up because they like my girlfriend, but the guy has never even seen me and from what I hear, if he was to pick a fight he would just knock himself out. I'm really not a fighting kind of person though, although I do like to urban ninja off of everything (mind you that I am not too great at it) but by doing so I am very capable of throwing my weight around. Of course that is still only 130 pounds of weight, Im pretty short. But I would like to see a big football player do 20 pull ups into 120 sit ups into 50 push ups.

Being pretty geeky and small, I don't know how I have managed to escape bullies all my life, but I think it has something to do with being optimistic and not getting on anyone's bad side. I have actually started to live by the infamous 'Golden Rule' and although it is hard at times, it is a very satisfying way to live.

Ok, now that I have gone back and read through all of the crap I just typed, it doesn't really all make sense and a lot of it is lacking detail, but just because I don't want to put those three or so minutes to waste, I am going to post it anyway.

I've only had one real bully type of experience, as my whole school system through middelschool>highschool was a giant bunch of pussies compared to the nation. Seriously, they had such high standards for not bullying that this one time 42 kids got suspended for calling a kid gay/laughing at him on Shakespeare day for his costume. I'm not joking or exaggerating.

My bully experience was early on in 6th grade. Let me give you a small important background: My school was probably 99% white. It wasn't a racist school (by far... wasn't some south racist-shit school), but there weren't many black kids. Anyways, I got to school late this one day, and I had a locker in the basement. I go down and go to put my saxophone and stuff in my locker, and I see that this big (as in tall, not fat) black kid has the locker next to mine open. I know that the locker he has open is one of my friend's... so I confront him (I could've done nothing, but I always speak in situations like this. It's gotten me into some bad stuff). I ask him what he's doing. He says he's going through his locker. I say that it's not his locker, it's my friend's locker. So I try to close the locker, and it kind of bashes his hand. He gets super pissed (lol I'm retarded... this kid was at least a foot and a half taller than me... I was pretty short for my age until about a year ago), and he and his two friends start bullying me. By this I mean one kid slams me against a wall and holds me up (so that my feet aren't touching the ground. The black kid punches me once, and another kid down the hall (got lucky, there weren't many people around since I was late) comes to help me, and the three kids scram.

Anyways, even if there was bullying at my school I probably wouldn't've gotten bullied much because I was pretty much at the top of my social level (if you have the cool kids, the middle level, and the losers/loners). I was in the middle level (even though I was pretty smart, I wasn't in the total nerds/losers group), and I was one of the cooler kids of the middle level.

Yo Johnny, you have some really interesting stories. Tell some more! :) I'm sorry you had to go through such horrible stuff...
