One hell of an argument
I definatly understand what you mean, but I don't NEED 80GB of storage; Heck, every day I use my current MP3 player. I just wanted something new and... smooth, I guess.
I'm the kind of guy who likes things small. I understand that the classic and video are both tiny, but I don't need them. I truly only want (and need) an Ipod to listen to music, so why not just get a nano?
If I can enjoy listening to 100 songs on my old mp3 player, then I can enjoy listening to 1,600 songs.
Meh. I have about 5,000 songs, and I am continuously adding more. Plus, I have videos and podcasts too!
The point being that it's sheerly a better deal. Even if you aren't going to use all 80 gigs for music, the point is that for $200 you get 8 gigs, but for $250 you get 80 gigs! It's like when you go to the grocery store. You have the real price of the item, but then you have the unit price (the price per lb, oz, w/e). often times, in smaller packages, it is more expensive per unit price vs. buying in bulk, even though buying in bulk costs more (rightfully so, you are getting more).
Point and case, even if you don't use all 80 gigs on music, you can still use it as an external harddrive also. I have a lot of files on my iPod from when I had to reformat my laptop. Even with an extensive porn collection, lots of music, and a shitload of other things, I'm only hitting about 50% of my 30 gig.
But, I also have a 120 gig external harddrive for everything (music, anime, movies, porn, etc.), so I really have two, but one plays music.
Still, I'd really tell you to consider saying "Fuck you iPod Nano v3.0, I like mas bitches with more cushion fo' da pushin' " and spring the extra $50 for a real iPod. Plus, then you aren't a consumer whore/ mindless drone of society who bought something because it was shiny.
