Laptops

They're great! But mine is a tad slow, but it still can run Flash 8 pro, Fireworks 8 pro and play Heritage of kings the settlers, and thats all I use it for so its cool.

While you are really well known for being a coder, I was really blown away by some of your BG artwork and character design. No lie, some of that shit was Adam Phillips quality.

The only reason I asked if Luis was doing shit for it was because the other day he rattled off a list of about 3 people he was doing game sprites for and you have worked together on at least 2 games (Mucusmorphobia and NG Rumble). Glad to hear that you're doing your own shit though. I can't wait to see it!

Maybe if I kiss your ass enough I can beta test :3 I'll talk to you on AIM sometime maybe.

I'm curious. Anybody here play Garry's Mod? I'm addicted to the damn thing. Mostly Zombie Survival though (mod for gmod).. If anybody doesn't know what gmod is it's just a physics sandbox. Well, the game is just a mod for HL2, and you just build things in the game. But people make mods to the game, like CTF, ZS, and other crap.. so anybody here play it?

I got a used laptop 4 or 5 years ago... and at the next oppurtunity I bought myself a desktop, much easier to work on and the fact that my old laptop is 700mhz made my new at the time beast like computer great.

In general laptops are around 2 years behind the ghz of desktops... so you have to think if a two yeard old computer that's portable is worth the money to you.

I use my laptop for notes soccasionly at school and its a godsend. Mine was free though, don't know if I'd pay for one now...

Totally worth it, to me at least. Being able to just throw it in a case and take it anywhere trumps performance. My laptop is, maybe, five years old, I got it used off a friend. I'd been moving around a lot for awhile and hauling a bulky PC with monitor, speakers, keyboard and having to deal with setting it up again every time I moved would have sucked when compared to placing it on a desk and plugging it in. Mu laptop works perfectly with Flash, a little laggy with Photoshop, but I just added some ram to fix that, so it does pretty much everything I want it to do. Yeah, I'd like to be able to play the latest games, but a desktop from five years ago would have the same problem, so I don't really care.

I have no doubt that my next computer will also be a laptop as well.

Clothes
I am a terrible shopper. Today was the first day in 2 years I went shopping for clothing, and man, clothes that fit are amazing.

Also, I hate clothes shopping. it forces me to admit that I am fucking huge (in many ways).

I also dislike how I have a pair of jeans that are comfortable/maybe a bit large, and I tried to get another pair of the same brand, size, and style, yet somehow the new ones don't fit at all. What the fuck? I know jeans can stratch a little, but that's fucking ridiculous.

Heh, play that too, what's your steam name, so i can add you to friends ;). Zombie surival is awesome, although i don't have CS:S, so most of the textures are screwed. Garrysmod.org is brilliant for other items, so i'm on there alot.

Laptop

I was thinking about getting a laptop instead of my new desktop, but i wanted to play games, and since the graphics cards on laptops aren't advanced enough yet, i decided to leave it. Hopefully, when i go to sixth form, the technology will have improved.

However, there is something that is being released next year that allows desktop graphics cards to be plugged into a laptop, making the graphics almost 100x faster. So that might sway me to the small side.

Anyone have a PDA?

Clothes Shopping

I go to JC Penney's for pants, because Zumiez/Hot Topic pants are way too fucking much. For shirts I just go to Hot Topic or Zumiez, although Zumiez is getting way too expensive now. Spencer's shirts are hilarious, if my mom wasn't so strict I'd get a few of those shirts.

Fuck AE, Aero, A&F, etc. Way too expensive, my favorite pair of jeans cost a third of most jeans there.

Heh, fair enough. If there's one thing that can be said for sure about Luis, it's that at any given time, he's working on at least 60% of the projects being developed on Newgrounds.

I was at Kohls and there were these awesome shirts on sale. Because guys have no fashion sense (don't blame me, that's what they are insisting) they have these shirt sets of two which are an overshirt and a tshirt, that match and everything. Not bad for tshirts, 2 for 9 bucks.

I used to hate shopping for clothes. I still don't enjoy shopping too much, but nowadays I do care more about how my clothes look, maybe it has something to do with growing older. Too bad I have to pay for my own clothes since I started appreciating them, because I have a pretty expensive taste...
