School

Start of school. Better than I expected. They change the timetable around so the lessons are 5 minuets longer, and lunch is 5 mins shorter >:(

For ICT, we have to do 4 pieces of coursework: databases, spreadsheets, and 2 free choices (but teachers can veto them) (they by default say you have to do something boring, like publisher or powerpoint). I think I'm going to do flash (definate- and I'll ace it) and PHP/Javascript or maybe basic C++ or maybe some of the boring stuff they choose.

But I dont want to admit to teachers that I'm a flash junky, they'll have a fit. They know I'm good at ICT and everything, but not to this extent. My close friends know (not about the BBS though), and the odd thing was that one of them commented on my Luis day thing, but didnt ask a thing about who he was, what I meant by banning or anything. Weird.

Most teachers wouldn't understand a word of it anyway. I tried to explain how to code how i was attempting to code a 3D Cube with ray tracing with backface culling and lighting :S. It's not going to well so far :P. I think if delta tried to talk to one of my teachers, there head would actually implode :D.

lol this new high school I'm going to is convinced that they're a UK school. They call each grade a "form" which no one does here in the US...and the courses are numbered strangely as well

I'm pretty jealous of the Uk school system... higher literacy rate more diversity in class rotation... it's all good.

I can't imagine not being able to leave when you have frees stacked at the end of the day though, we do that right =D.

(I can leave at 12:20 every other day because of frees) I end up staying some of the time though to hang with friends till they leave or have class)

Seems like you guys have more choices in the subject of courses though, we have tons of diversity but its all differing forms of science (ap. bio biochem apEnvirenmentalScience oceanography, chem, ap anatomy) or in history and english and such but no diversity from the standards.

I made mine in the middle of August and have just been holdin' on to it. I figure a week or so before the actual day I'll add a easter egg or somethin' too it for a laugh. I had a lot of fun makin' surprisingly.

Halloween

Me and a friend of my thought up a short 'n sweet game for Halloween. Considering how I'm generally a huge anti-christian Iand how avoid makin' any content that includes the slightest hint of christianity. I figured I wouldn't make one... I kind of keep all religions: both the ones I don't approve of, and the ones I do approve of - out of all toons, games, and work.
But the loophole is that I always enjoy challaging myself and when their's a fun idea I usually have a fun time makin' it. If I do make it I'll most likely submit it on the 31st of Oct. The main problem is the time. Durring summer and rushed and tried to get all current projects done and just save 'em for later. With school I get barely any free time now. I juggle school work, daily chores, and flash all together. Today I only had 1 hour to work on stuff. I look forward to the weekend of the definite alnighter of friday and saturday..... Errr, bottum line: I wanna make a game I don't feel 100% sure about and I don't think I have the time.

Anyone else ever encounter problems like this or are already whip'n somethin' up?

I was going to make one, but I don't know it would be shit compared to others and I'm almost mad at myself for hopping on the bandwagon and submitting a piece of crap. Not for the fact of highering my bp because in the scheme of things most people who vote on flash don't know shit about it anyway.

PLUS, to be honest (I know of the frontpage bytesize ad and the other promos) Madness Day most likely won't have as big of a turnout as say Clock Day or whatever.

I think I'm just going to sit back, relax and wait until Krinkles throws the next episode into the portal.

What happened to our game o.O I kind of forgot about it while I was away and haven't opened Flash since :p

It's a clear night tonight and the stars are visible. I'd to go outside, lie down, and just stare up at them for hours but I'd look wierd and my parents would probably think I was up to something :(

I would love to see a fbf madness movie, I know krinkels does fbf but I mean with each frame redrawn. It would be something different than the usual crap. I alsohate it when people use madness sprite sheets, it proves they have no drawing talent and the movies are always crappy.

Contradicting I think you mean, it could be that he's good at employing the basics of animation, conveying weight and such, but not good at drawing. I think it's good to be able to draw well before getting into animation, but if you're using symbols and what not I guess you don't need to draw very much.

AHA that's the word I was thinking of I figured I'd just use one that was similiar and see if anyone corrected me, ya but its still reads rather silly seeing as most people would view animation as about 50% drawing and then 50% principles of animation. You kinda need both to be skilled.

Personally I don't think i'll be doing a madness toon, but I don't know might end up starting something and liking it, I can't think of an idea other than a fight scene which I don't ever find that interesting, Might make something kinda funny with variations of the madness characters if I can think of it.

Living Off Disability = Impossible?

So I got a call my me mother today. She busted up her left arm a few months ago and had surgery but, it turns out it didn't help and she just wasted her money. So today she goes to her doc. and finds out that she will never work agian. So now she's living off of disability which is just 'bout $700 a month. As my mother is a single and alone she is in it rough big-time right now. I gave her my $60 I had left-over after bills from last month. (I'm living off pickles still so I don't need to buy any new food for a while.) Bottum line... I see this whole "Living Off Disability" thing as impossible without going welfare too. :/

Underestimating Flash Projects!

Ever think somethin' up and think you could get in done in like a week and hardcore work but it turns out it'll take a month and a half or longer. I thought makin' a simple platformer would be easy. Just take a few tuts. from the AS Main and whip up the needed animations/art/music. I started this thing thinkin' it would be a fun lil' thing to do and now it's turn into a full-out big projects. Sure the original idea has changed and stuff and I've decided to add more things but, as I look back I can't help to laugh my ass off rememberin' thinkin' "Hmmm, I'll just whip this up. It shouldn't take more then a week and should be easy." Ahhh.... To be young.

Quick Flashes Do WELL
Yeah, I had all of the 1 Hour Collabs do really well whih took probably 2 hours to get them all and put together, while some of my other stuff which took me hours hasn't done so well, but I know what you guys mean. By the way, I'm back from my 8 hour ban? Did you miss me?
