so wtf are you talking about?

Well, my sis got a shitload of viruses and crap on my PC, and vista hates, and I have no anti-virus/ad software, and the PC overall hates me, and finally the computer gods have disowned me for downloading too much porn most likely. Anyway I spent all day reformatting this, download the best rated and most reccomended anti virus/ad software, doing scan after scan, deletion after deletion, restarting after restarting, fighting through freeze after freeze, until I finally fixed my fucking computer. Now I have over 8 new programs and my PC is running faster and much better.

For the last few days all the freezing and lag has made it hard to work on flash so I spent all day today fighting with it. That and I waiting at a bus stop for a friend, had to take a huge crap so ran to 3 stores that didn't have a bathroom, till I whent to A&W but some bitch told me paying customers only so I asked if water was free, she said yes, then I replied "Fine, then I want a water. There, I'm a fucking payin' customer, I payed for the free water, now open the fuckin' door to that there bathroom or I'll shit on this floor!" then the manager came and asked me to leave.... So then I booked it to dairy queen and found salvation and then jay-walked and nearly got hit by a few cars runnin' back to the bus stop to meet my friend. He's here now watching 300 on my PS3. While I am enjoying my PC working agian.

why don't you do a system restore, and just go back to when your computer wasn't fucked up.

Too much effort to keep everything that is important, or not so important, that you want to keep.

As for food, the weirdest thing I can declare a love for is ridiculous amounts of houmous on crackers, toast, bread, crisps, pitta bread, even naan.

Actually, come to think of it, I really can't get enough of garlic mayonnaise. It's great with any and all meat products, not to mention a load of other stuff. Whenever I have pizza I get a little of it on standby to dip my crust into :D Garlic mayonnaise on a sausage sandwich is just godly.

WiiCade 3.0
Hey guys, I just made a new post about the 3rd revision of my other site, WiiCade.com. All kinds of fancy new features, so take a look.
http://negativeone.newgrounds.com
Developers, take note. The new WiiCade API offers a chance to create some brand new Flash gaming experiences. I'm confused and disturbed that more people haven't hopped on it :P

Jerk! Heh, naw. It's entirely possible to make a version that works on the Wii AND the computer though. Course it's tricky to test when you don't have a Wii. You'd have to get a WiiCade staffer to try it out for you. At any rate, it's understandable that the allure isn't there for folks who don't like the Wii.

I am not a myth. The Wii is vastly overrated. Unless you like playing as Mario IN EVERY SINGLE FUCKING GAME.

I like the Wii. Although there are some down points, its still good. The only problems are, there arent enough games, because the Playstations and X-box's are overrated.

I like that someone is actually trying a different angle with video games, instead of just a handset, and when they do update, all thats different is wireless controllers, and more memory, and a new design.

My views.

lol, it's not a stereotype though! Probably around 90% of the games Nintendo makes either feature someone from either the Mario franchise or someone from the Zelda franchise (and more often than not feature both!). Nintendo are a one trick pony.

As for the actual console, I'll admit, Wii Sports (mainly the Tennis) was fun... for a while, but the novelty of the controller soon wears off.

Plus "Wii" is a silly name anyway =P

A Cat that's Simultaniously Dead and Alive
Because of the Uncertainty principle, the cat in Herr Shrodinger's experiment is in a state of superposition. Because there's an equal chance the radioactive material decays, the cat is for the purposes of quantum physics both alive AND dead.

Of course, we can't detect the particle decaying and keep it in this state - if the particle decays, the cat dies, and if it doesn't, it remains alive. So the mere act of observing the experiment changes the cat's living state from uncertain to definate. It serves as a way to illustrate that the mere act of trying to monitor any quantum effect actually CHANGES the result, so all of quantum mechanics takes place at a theoretical level, using "virtual" particles where we assume the real ones must be.

Plus, it's cool to have an undead cat in physics. However

it violates certain Egyptian Mythological Doctrines...

I did it once. It was fun. I want to do it again but I don't have a GPS.

That's cool. I'd probably be happier if I actually owned a Wii. :-P

Ahhh wow, that's completely brilliant. I also read some other articles about physical paradox, if I build a time machine, take the plant that I have on my window, go back in time 24hrs, and place the plant in the same place: what will happen to the plant?

I understand the concept of the experiment, but I don't understand why observing the experiment with a camera or something will affect the result (I didn't understand 50% of the words you used, so...)

Beating a dead cat... or is it? Oh damnit it's both...

Because observing the cat dying confirms that it is, in fact, dead. As I understand it (with my amazing D in A-Level Physics) a lot of quantum theory is done with particles that are invisible - to detect them would mean that those particles interact with the observer (such as, say, a photon of light bouncing into your retinas or through the lens of your camera... or in the case of most quantum stuff, an electron microscope), and would NOT interact with the experiment in the same way as the experiment would were you or the camera not in the room. Therefore, actually watching the thing take place would require interfering with these particles...

It's fucking crazy. And Quantum Mechanics drove Einstein to his grave after he (apparently) walked out screaming that "God doesn't play dice". Bohr apparently wrote back telling Einstien "Stop telling God what to do [with his dice]"

Now. Onto less complicated (but no less wierd) paradoxes...

that's neat.

I remember reading a paradox once (don't remember what it was called), but it was interesting.

It went like this.

Some guy gets sentenced to be hanged. As part of his sentence, he will not know which day he will be executed but he will know the week, and is told the day will be a surprise.

He figures that it can't be on friday, because it wouldn't be a surprise anymore if wasn't selected on thursday. So it must happen by at least thursday. However, by this logic, then it can't happen on thursday for the same reason why it couldn't happen on friday. So it must happen by wednesday. However, you can follow the same logic for friday and Thursday and eliminate wednesday as a possibility, therefore eliminating tuesday and monday. So there would be no day it could happen while remaining a surprise.

The executioner comes on tuesday, and it is a surprise to the prisoner. How is it still a surprise, if logically no day would be a surprise to him?

Odd, one of my teachers mentioned that once in his 'useless trivia time' period at the beginning of the day. Unfortunately, most of my class is stupid enough to not comprehend the meaning of a 'paradox'... :/
