Some of you probably are wondering "HOW DO I VIEW THE BATTING AVERAGESSSSS?!" Well, here's a simple solution on how I found out. I typed in my name "Rudy" under the NG Author-Search Bar and all my submissions came up. Now after that, hover over your icon -- and your name and Batting average will appear. Mine on other hand is "3.9/5.0" batting average.

Easy solution. Hope that cleared some questions. ;)

Well, I guess I didn't quite see that. But I made a front page post for people to know how to detect their batting average, since alot have been curious.

I remember Tom saying that we couldn't do it *yet*, but that might have been something else. I do see some sense in how they were distracting, but then again, this is an animation website.

Does anyone think that Tom should really change the BA thing? That way is very inconvenient and could result in alot of nOOb collabs and anarchy. Like srsly, someone like Luis should get on this.

Batting Average alone isn't a worthy measure for this. There need to be some much stricter criteria. Like not making an ass out of yourself when starting a collab, or coming up with a semi-original theme. Or splitting the song up BEFORE you announce what lines are taken, just in case someone thinks thier line lasts just half a second longer than it should...

I've been trying out the news system too, its really neat the way you can moderate it yourself (deletes and bans). I can't say I'm not a little sad to lose the exclusive rights to the front page I used to have but hey, at least I still have a blue name ;)

I don't know about a collabs only board, but we really do need stricter guidelines. It's too easy nowadays to have 3.00+ BA all you need to do is get in a couple of halfway-decent collabs. But there are more pressing matters with the site at the moment.

Writing Papers
This is a funny story from today. I am in this required writing class, and we had to write a pretty long research paper on animal rights, using a few designated authors. Knowing that everyone would write a paper on how terrible humans treat animals, I went home and wrote 6 pages on how we should take all animals and locked them in pens and cages, so that they don't have to worry about getting killed by humans. The formation of mega-zoos would control their existence, and nature could just work itself out with humans.

The paper comes back with a solid A a few days later, but I was requested to go talk to my professor during his office hours tomorrow. I have no clue what he wants to talk to me about... he seemed very frustrated in class today when handing my paper back, like not even able to speak to me.
