QUICK HELP :P

Can someone help me today or possibly tomorrow. Listen, I'm just finished up this rockout with ToasterDemon and I really need some guy whose good at AS to make my menu. I'm good at it, but for some reason it keeps screwing up, so you need to be REALLY good. It's weird, because all this AS works usually, but now it just fucks up. So just reply to this if you can.

Flash in Edge Magazine!

I don't know if Edge is international, but whilst I was looking at that latest 3D magazines I stumbled across a magazine called Edge and it had a gold Wii-mote on the front and some fancy writing. So I picked it up and skimmed though it. It had the usual stuff like any usual game magazine, previews, reviews, un-zipping jokes, and pointless crap.

Until I flicked pass a page with a picture of a little cartoon boy running. "Heck, that looks like Line Rider" I tough. I looked at the other pictures. I saw sticks, then I saw some shots of Castle Crashers. Then I saw the Crazy Monkey Games and Armor Games symbol. Then I saw other assorted pictures that I recognized. "Woah" I thought, "This article is related to Flash" ^-^

So I read it and the people of the magazine were very surprised when they found out that most Flash games are made buy 'teenage coders in their bedrooms'. They said that the Line Rider inspired Nintendo to make a game based around the concept. They also mentioned how some kids are basically rich becasue of making Flash games. One thing that amazed me was that they were unaware of how long it takes to make a quality Flash game. They said 'this spaceship game was made by a German student. It took him 2 years'.

Why am I saying this? Because Flash is being recognized by major game companies, which is really exciting news. Imagine working for Nintendo or Sony in the upcoming years? That would be awesome.

Our own Flash Regs project was in there, even though they dumped it under my name :(. Four Second Frenzy was about 95% flash regs here.

Yeah, that article is one of the best I have seen regarding Flash devs. It was well researched and featured a lot of neat stuff.

In a really quick look in the secret forums it seems that red is sleightly more popular than green which is WAY more popular than blue for mods.

Maybe you just think of mods being blue because jmtb02 is.

To tell you the truth, that probably is why it looks like it, but it does make sense. I mean, jmtb is like ultra mod or something. He just pops the fuck out of nowhere and locks threads while being a teacher :P.

I don't really care about the good or bad connotations, although I guess I'm a nice voter :) I just like the colour. It's a lot less conflicting than the other two - it just goes nicely as a background for pretty much any icon. I hope that lighter colours for backgrounds are an addition in the redesign.

BMK reminded me of a pm i got yesterday, once in a blue moon ill get a pm from someone who NEEDS to have his account deposited while they are on vacation.. COME ON.
Dropping a level or two is not the end of the world.

It's worse when you're not a mod, especially when you have to wait five minutes to post a correction because the smart arse system keeps giving you shit - "Ho ho, I think you'll find that what you're trying to post has just been posted!". Erm... no, you wanker. I know damn well that I just made a post; now I'd like to make another one. Is that okay with you? Is it? Smartarse. It's like having someone behind you correcting your spelling when you're writing an e-mail, only not being able to spell properly himself.

Come to think of it, the review auto-messages are dicks too. "Please think more carefully, because it's been less than five minutes since your last review!" I don't need belittling just because I'm capable of summarising my thoughts in less than a few minutes.

Tom should fix these things in the redesign.
