Smoothing
In flash when you use the paint brush tool, most of you would know there is a smoothing option. It's very good to neaten up your lines but can be a bitch when it starts to mess around with the shape you actually draw. What I'd like to know is have you guys figured out a good smoothing level that is enough to neaten up your lines but doesn't fuck with what you draw? What's your smoothing percent newgrounds?

I use forty. I find that thiry-nine-to-forty there is a massive jumping point, 39 is to crooked and 40 seems to be as close to perfect as I could get for myself. But ive noticed it also depends how fast you move the brush or even how slow you move it. It is right for me.

But what I do do too, is if im drawing a picture for example, I may lower the smoothing and then manually smooth it. This is pretty worthless if your animating though. I draw sketches rougher if I remember too.

I honestly think that would look 100% better if the whole logo was in the same font as the "Pres" text. As I watched it and the "Pres" appeared I thought it looked really slick and professional, but the "games" sliding in in that italic font made it look much worse. I would recommend keeping the current Pres and having Games underneath it to the side, slightly smaller.

Thats just my personal opinion anyway :)

Yeah that looks better, shinnier. Its a good time too, animated logos should be short but sweet, and thats a good logo.
