Flash Works
I've never really ever made anything in flash.... it's really only just dawned on me. I've had ideas and stuff but all I've ever produced was made with in a few hours and it was all horribly done spurts of crap that had no planning behind them. The retro collab was the only thing I have ever done that wasn't completely unplanned and that was just basically me taking credit for other people's work and fuzz's organization.

So I should really think about doing something on my own with planning and shit, so to get me started I want to see what people are most proud of. What piece of work did you feel you accomplished the most with. This doesn't mean you have to post your best quality work I just want to see the stuff that you feel was a rather significant brake through for you and why.

In regards to my tablet, I didnt realize that snapshot would cause a stir. To avoid sounding like a complete douchebag, I actually dont use my tablet cause i have no room for it on my desk I SWEAR. I have a really compact desk and like the tablet doesnt fit on the little tray that pulls out that holds the mouse, and having it on your lap doesnt feel natural. I'm moving to a bigger place this fall so i do plan to atleast give it a proper shot.

That photo was just a cry for attention as usual im afraid.

Overratedness

I think the term overrated is overrated... i have no problem with IllWillPress, i think for the niche he aims for he succeeds and hes been around for awhile even through the harsh backlash so i definately give him props for having the balls to keep doing what he believes in.. i think that many artists nowadays have a tendency to bend and buckle when adversity comes up, but he was able to stay the course and thats cool. Im not fond of his work but i think he deserves to be a staple of NG.

I actually only really ever use the mouse anyway. Because I usually use the line and pencil tool in my animations and such. It creates sometimes a more professional and clean look to it when done right...I guess.
But now i wanna add that extra thing to my arsenal, and develop a solid paintbrush technique. Hopefully an actual good quality tablet should help out.

Plus my bed doesn't really have an "under" to it....I have 2 mattresses on top of each other. Its new :P

Don't feel like making flash

I haven't felt like making flash for some time now, but now I really need too. I have a lot of projects going on, but I just can't find the motivation to work on them. The most urgent one is a game I'm working on for the Rock Out-contest and as the deadline comes closer I doubt that I will finish it in time. I'm also running a collab that has been going for like an eternity, I have another game which I haven't worked on for ages but is to far along to just drop, two other small projects with friends and I really need to learn php/mysql so that I can make a website to put my stuff on..

Does anybody have any tips on how I can get in the right mood for making flash?

Watch as many flashes, play as many games and see as many films as possible. Go for walks; get some time to yourself outside, and some with friends. Immerse yourself in the world of creativity; leave intellect behind and become saturated in art you can relate to. You have the advantage here of being able to basically experience as much of the stuff you like as possible and it being part of a massively improving and possibly profitable (but don't think too much about that) line of work.

There are plenty of ways to get inspired; dive straight into them. And don't waste time bumming around the forum - there's nothing more depressing than a load of cynical bastards telling you how pointless everything is :P

Also, not wanting to seem like an antisocial bastard, but sometimes spending too much time with too many people can sap your inspiration, so try and get a little time think by yourself without distractions.

Well, since I got my first sponsorship making flash has been more and more about money. I don't think that I will ever get to the point where money is the only reason for me to make flash though, I'm just having a bad period at the wrong time.
