Ok, here goes some responses to the last few pages:
RE: Pixar
I think some kind of ultra-violent CGI film has the potential to be insanely good. Right now animation seems solely about kids films, so there's a big gap in the market for violent 3D films, and CGI animation has so much potential for some epic, aestheiticised violence. Like that other guy said - you've seen how pretty water and stuff looks; imagine a room of blood splatter.
RE: Flash as work
I'm not intending to use Flash as anything more than an outlet for whatever ideas I have floating around, and probably for a little extra cash when I'm at uni. As cynical as the guys at WGM seem to be, but their last article really said a lot about how cold people can be when they start making games for money. I always thought that people generally make stuff for love of making it primarily, and whatever they can scrape out of sponsorships is an added bonus. Meh - just don't start relying too heavily on your creative activities for income.
RE: That cube thing
Incedentially, anyone notice any similarities between that page's title and a certain game involving Krinkels.
It's fairly irrelevant, but I was just thinking how pissed I'd be if I were the coder for Madness Interactive. As far as I can tell, the graphics side consists of a few tweens and quite a few static images, most of them already used, while the level of scripting in it seems immense. And yet you get loads of reviews saying stuff like 'Krinkels should make another one of these'. If there ever was a game where the coding deserved a tonne more recognition, this is it.
