Phew, im about half way through em now. Just got out of english which was intense. I managed to write 5 pages in the hour and a half. I could have written more if i wasnt such a tard at writing to describe and explain.

I did my SATs a couple of weeks ago, super boring but easy. Rather than having hard questions, they had thousands of simple questions.

I also did my citizenship GSCE paper a while ago (what a pointless GCSE). I hope I did well, I only got a D in the coursework (my cockfaced teacher told everyone to do 10 times as much as it says on the official brief, which was 1500-2000 words (which is about 5 pages). Then some people in my class did 40-60 pages, some guy did 72. I did 15, which is still triple what I was ment to. He then said I wrote hardly anything, and marked me down loads, the fucking twat).

I didnt try to do the most, I knew I couldnt. After writing more than a third of a page, all of the life gets sucked outa me, and I just get so insainly bored. That 72 page guy was one super excessive guy; in history, he once made flags of every single country ever in the commonweath, indivually gluing them to staws (as a flagpole) volentarial, without being asked or it even being suggested.

Really, when there's a size limit it says a lot more about your skill if you stick to it than if you just waffle on (as my lit teacher would say) for a ridiculous number of pages.

That 72 page guy would look well if they just refused to mark anything beyond word 2,000 :)

Personally, I feel defeated and unless I'm being paid, or have a 'real' deadline (for college or whatever, or because I've promised something by a very specific date) I'll probably just not touch it again for a couple of months at least.

I try my best to save at least once an hour - my file-naming system helps there - but sometimes forget when I get in the groove. It's when I'm being most productive that I can forget to save.

I had German listening today, which was suspiciously easy. Oddly, the questions in English were the harder ones. I also just had English, two hours of writing :(

Flash has never crashed for me. Ever. But knowing my luck it will happen next time I haven't saved for several hours. But that said, I DO obsessively hit ctrl-s after every little thing I do.

Flash chrashes loads for me, expecially when trying to do AS3 stuff. This combined with the fact that I hardly ever save means I get annoyed a lot of the time.

How much do you write in exams? In an hour and a half long exam-essay, I usually write about 2 and a half pages, I write extreamly slow.

Well in my english exam i wrote 5 pages, it said on one of the questions "2 pages of average handwriting should be enough" and so thats what i did, i managed 3 pages on the first question. I could have written for another hour on the first question because i had plenty to say, the second one i was a bit stuck and kept pausing to think.

My exam was 1 and a half hours

The thing I always hated about exams, particularly currently, is the bullshit. They don't reward independent thinking or logic, just mainly rote learning and a bit of calculation. Maths is OK, since there's not much that can be tested other than your ability to accurately solve problems. English Lit's been a bit stupid, but it's still quite flexible as far as allowing you to come to your own conclusions is, provided you demonstrate a set list of skills.

The real bullshit is in Biology, which is just incredibly full of bullshit. Most of the marks I lost in it were from just not saying things which were required - you'd think you'd get marks for understanding what was going on rather than just saying specific words like 'fenestrations' - don't get me wrong - technical language should be desired, but it's stupid to focus so entirely on specific things to say in relation to questions.

I mean, the biggest offender is in the questions which go on at 'Suggest x'. You'd think that the word 'suggest' implies that so long as your answer is based on some knowledge and is sensible enough to conceivably be true, but no - it's just another set list of answers you have to meet. Biology is bullshit.

Anyway, exam rant over. I'm going to go learn some Physics.
