You can do it in Flash Mx+ with a bit of no-how ;). Just use As masking. Eg, make an image and a mask, give the image the instance name 'img' and the mask the instance name 'mask'. The select the checkbox under blend modes for both and put this on the frame.

img.setMask(mask);

that should work ;).

The Getaway(and it's sequel), Katamari Damacy(and it's sequel), Resident Evil 4, Shadow of the Colossus, Bully, Black, Front Mission 4...

Everything else I can think of your either definitely should know about or not that great...

Hey Bezman, does it say anything else about WiiCade, perhaps in the blurry folds between pages? Seems strange that they did a whole interview with us if all they planned to make was a passing mention in another article.

Only mention was in 'Wii access' caption. It was actually something I was expecting to see mentioned, so that stuck out to me. What kinda questions did they ask you? How did they do it? Just e-mail a bunch of questions?

I think they must do a lot more research than is published - when I met Shigsy in 2003, they spent around 1/2 an hour-1hour with the folk who'd waited overnight but didn't mention the event at all.

Sorry for blurriness, but I don't wanna totally break the spine... I've still got some sentimental attachment to the mag. I feel it's kinda gone downhill recently - the 'Art of Videogames' special wasn't really worth the money, with too many screenshots/too few unseen bits of development art or design. I haven't read the rest of the issue yet but the Flash article seemed really lightweight and ineffectual - it MAY have just been because I spend way too much time generally playing flash games, but it seemed an unfocused, rambling article with no real findings nor provoking of thoughts. Way below the standard I'd expect.

Shame that other mags are even worse.

I have been very busy as of late. I do the Sound Design for Theater productions in my area and that has had we swamped the past 3 weeks. Sound Design, for those who don't know, is setting up mics on actors, running a 20-60 channel soundboard and audio system set ups. I am going to school for visual arts, but Sound Engineering is my next love. Last week was the first week I ran an entire show myself. Usually I just help out and set up body mics and speakers and run cables, but doing my own show was a lot of fun. It's tedious as hell and very time consuming but well worth it. I get paid, too.

Oh, and I finished my longest Flash to date! 2:00 entire minutes of animation. It's not going on Newgrounds though, NEXT TIME.

People dont have any more original ideas left do they? I dont know if someone has borught in this before, but nowadays most stuff are remakes, remakes of old movies, songs, videogames, if not, movies are based on books/comics/other movies... well even of most are cool, and is not all that are not original, but are we running out of ideas, is everything being invented..uh yeh.. this is flash realted because..if you have a nice idea for a flash.. maybe someone already did it!!

Idea originality

If you can think of it IT has been done in some way shape or form, Look at everything now from movies to music everythings been done to some extent, same chord progressions similiar stories, it's not exactly the same but There's nothing that you can think of that's entirely your own. I imagine its been like that for a while, but like everythigns been done at one point or another.

That doesn't mean you're ripping something off (although I'm not saying that doesn't happen) but chances are tis been done...

So today i got up at 6:30... waiting for the guy to come round to fix the radiator at 8.. he comes at 9:10.. finished at about 11:30... radiator doens't leak allt he time but now the handle won't move so it's stuck on off...

...... at least he did better than the last guy who just came round, turned it iff and left...
