A flash related topic

would it be fair to say that animating in flash gets easier as you go along or harder due to the new techniques and higher details you start to learn?

for example, any one of us could plop somthing basic out in a few days and it'd work fine (ie: me and canada's really big) but we could also do the same thing sing all the knowldge we've learnt and technques and crap in a hell of alot more time..

end ramblings...

In my opinion it gets much, MUCH harder to do animations the more experience you have with the program and it's capabilities while simultaniously pushing your own standards up and seeing more flaws in your work. I haven't been able to make a decent (non-collab) animation in a couple of years, even though I have ideas and they start out just fine. I guess my standards have exceeded my abilities...

Depending on how much disk space and bandwidth you get thats most likely a major ripoff.

You just create an icon, rename it to favicon.ico, and put it in the root directory on the server

I get 300GB of disk space, and 3000GB of bandwidth.

Bruv...I could not have said what you just did in better words. I've tried, but you put it pretty much exactly how I have always meant. I haven't been able to understand why I can't finish things when I consider myself such an avid Flash...but it's all because my standards have completely soared with new amazing flash releases. If it wasn't for that, I'd be set. Sucks, cuz there isn't really too much I can do about it.

That and just some other extra things like cleaner transition between photoshop and flash (includes layers) and also I think there is an improvement to the pen tool! =D

I've heard from a few people it's really not worth it.
I'm just going to wait untill the next version comes out.

If you don't have flash 8, you might as well get cs3 i guess...

Judgment Call

So I am once again left with a judgment call and, logically, I turn to the Flash Regs for advice.

My woman just told me how some tickets became available to the Roger Waters(if you don't know who that is your opinion is damn near worthless) concert. He is apparently doing another Darkside tour and the two of us talked about trying to get tickets before. The problem is that the concert is taking place while I'm going to be 11 hours away in Myrtle Beach.

To make matters worse, the tickets would be for her birthday which I'm going to be missing anyway. It's like the perfect reason to stay here for her birthday, instead of going on vacation, but the problem is that I already gave my friends 150 bucks to go with them...not to mention I did promise I would go with them.

As great as seeing Roger Waters in concert would be, with someone who I really love to be around(on her birthday), I can't really pass up a week of vacation with my friends. To anyone who might suggest she come on vacation with me, she can't take a week off of work...

Though, I doubt you guys care, I'd like to hear what you think I should do.

Well, it'd come across as pretty romantic if you took her to it. I'd feel the need to stress the point first at how your holiday is already booked and you've payed, then just surprise her. Bit of a dumb thing to ask us to be fair.
