Yeah, I saw that first thread. If it was just one person, I might have deleted their post, but it's a general concensus. In their defense, $500 is pretty scant, and sympathy escapes me when I see what he expects.
When you get down to if the pay was good, yeah, I'd probably agree with you, personally I wouldn't take the job. But someone like Cybex is an experienced game developer, and he said it was enough... So even if some people don't think it's enough, he might have wanted that job... I just hate the fact that some people might have a negative impact on him getting the job. Again, it doesn't seem fair, whether the pay was too little or whatever.

Anyway, I agree with DFox, although i wouldn't place all the blame on 13 year olds ;).
Augh, I ALWAYS do that. And you're 100% right, it's all age-groups, not just 13. And I should realize it offends people. One time I said something not-so-baffling about 13 year olds, and someone sent me a really nasty PM :) That's something I want to try to stop doing :)

Heh sorry I contributed that post, I just thought their wtfs were really stupid so I had to make fun of them.
Heh :) No biggie. I mean I just feel it's the little things like that that change the direction of a thread.
OK anyway that's enough about this, but I had something I wanted to ask you guys...
GLOBALIZATION -> Flash
I capitalized globalization because of it's importance to not only the Flash world, but everything.
Anyway, I would say with about the last 2 games I released, I've noticed a HUGE, HUGE increase in the amount of times they've been played on non-english, out of U.S. market sites.
I find that really cool. Everything else is becoming global, and so are FLash games and movies. What are your thoughts on it? Is it a good thing? Have you noticed this at all? I might release my next game with two languages built in, english and spanish. Would you ever do that?
I just wanted to get insight on this because it's SUCH an important subject. For those of you who don't know, competing in a global economy is becoming increasingly important, and it's something to think carefully about :)
And just some quick stats: My newest game was played 207,542 so far, and out of those MORE TIMES ON NON-ENGLISH SITES THAN ENGLISH ONES. Amazing.
