Re: Worst Flash Contest
Can't we have a 1 hour challenge? Team up artists that have never worked with coders (eg. I can't work with Fuzz) and see what they can do in one hour. Join everything together and submit with huge plugs to everyones website. Could be fun.

£2 for the game, £2 delivery. eBay. I could have gotten it for £1-75 has I waited less than a day.

Thankfully, there's not many people that buy games purely for unintentional comedy value.

Bottom of here is informative. Basically it started development before any other 3D games were in the public eye and the only game I know that sorta tries to be a typical modern-day platformer but is stuck with a digital d-pad.
Here is an amusing article on it.

Awesome. So my old site would have passed the test. :-)

And why let yourself get pissed off about such things if it's not even inconveniencing you personally?

My PS2 hates me. I intentionally buy games I know are going to suck because they have an interesting concept behind them.

Blaze and Blade Eternal Quest: Bought solely because its the only Multiplayer RPG on the PS1
It's oh so damn dire to play though. Generic Fantasy Cliche RPGs are bad enough. But imagine fighting over control over the camera when you're in combat, fighting over gold pieces that you can't use except to buy items off of other players. Makes Crystal Chronicles look like a Utopia...

Carnage Heart: Bought solely because I wanted to see how you can make a programming robot interface for a game, and how to make it better (which is seriously NOT hard for Carnage Heart... you try programming a flowchart with the cursor keys and four buttons...).
Create robots, go colonise Juipter. Great. You just have to program the bots using a flowchart.
Which sucks for PS controls. The manual is one of those large PS1 info booklets that you'd expect would have the instructions translated for every country in Europe, but it turns out all 100 of those pages are JUST English instructions for Programming the things. Bought it mainly so I could work out something for the Actionscripted robots everyone keeps bringing up every few months.

Dead Ball Zone: Bought because I couldn't find a decent Speedball clone. Not making THAT mistake again.

True, the whole flash website thing is difficult. With flash you can make a really fantastic site, but alot of people just make simple scroll buttons, or an entire site out of flash, even though its functions are the same as an HTML or other type of site. I like sites that have spectacular openings to them, that aren't over 5 seconds, but really add a spice, then the buttons are interactive and make sense with the theme of the site. I saw a couple like that, forget the URL, but sites that use the basic layout that can be accomplished with html (easily) but are made in flash seem pointless and un-professional.

And I could see 300 if I wanted to, but it would require planning, and if it takes planning to see a movie I'm out. Me and my friend tried renting Underworl Evolution at Rogers, but the bitch at the counter asked for damn ID, and we didn't have a plan, so we ran... to blockbuster and rented a game...

K the date is gonna be May 26th (80% sure), Memorial Day holiday is when everyone is on the road and thats not fun so no on that date.. and earlier than that is not doable.

I'm working on it. It looks pretty promising that I could ride the train up.

More details forthcoming but its a fairly low key event, just a few people getting together for a bit, maybe grab some grub and wander about the city... and then you can leave after that if you found us boring or we can think of something else to do.

Just a few :c Aw poo. It'll still rock tits though.

im gonna be staying the night there so if you feel like crashing at the hotel feel free just dont piss on the floor... if this goes well we could probably do it again late summer.

If I can go, I call dibs on some huddling room.

10000

Yey, i has a lot of EXP.. now i can use the +9 sword of agitha!

Crap games bought

i also got super monkey ball adventure ('cube).. i thought i'd be a fun game like the previous game but it was done by a different studio who not only ruined the game but dind't even finish the game correctly! there's gltiches everywhere, removed/edited sections where it's completely different and when you complete it you get the following message:

"You have completed super monkery ball adventure"..... even the puzzles suck!

unless i got a version of the game that is different to the other i don't see why it is soo crap ( and why the reviews mentino things that arn't in my copy..?)

i acutlly paid £20 for this.... i feel violated..

Sex Scenes

It was not added to bump up the rating, there would be no reason for them to ever do that. That would only make less people be able to see it. They did it because the movie is much like Sin City in the fact that they were both written by Frank Miller and probably both used the original graphic novel as the story board.

I would elaborate or speak of something else being discussed but I'm a bit hung over and i hurt my middle finger when I fell down some stairs. Therefore it hurts to type.

A+, I was worried no one would respond, yeah its relaxing. I want to get a light box, I think I could do stuff easier in my room than on this comp, not to mention by hand not by mouse.

The sex scene was added because of Hollywood.

Stop talking about it.

k

Crap Games
I'm sad to announce, that I *sniff* own Shadow the Hedgehog... I played it for 30 minutes and haven't played since... it was cheap though and came with Mario Strikers, which is a good game. I also have FFX, which is terrible and Dirge of Cerberus (which is more short then terrible, and very emo, but kinda fun...) and GT3, which is the absolute worst game ever made... but it was dirt cheap. Plus a spongebob game, but it actually isn't bad, the levels are very well designed.

Hm.

"The film is a shot-for-shot adaptation of the comic book, similar to the film adaptation of Sin City. Snyder photocopied panels from the comic book, from which he planned the preceding and succeeding shots. "It was a fun process for me... to have a frame as a goal to get to," said Snyder. He also shot the film in a style that would be similar to the comic book."

...

"Snyder also added the sub-plot in which Queen Gorgo attempts to rally support for her husband."

No mention of adding the sex scene. Having ACTUALLY, read Frank Miller's work in the past I do not find it hard to believe the sex scene was in the graphic novel. But we can drop it until I get to a bookstore...

CCleaner
I would post it in general, but people doesn't give helpful comments often in there.
My hard drive got full in like 2 months it has a 40GB, but i only have 7GB of free space now!
I heard that it is a good program to free space in the hard drive, that it eliminates all the crap in the computer, but, is it really good? and if not, why? Any other recommendations to free space?

Any help is appreciated.

I use CCleaner. I like it.

I'd also suggest getting AdAware by Lavasoft, and I'd also say get SpyBot Search and Destroy, but the latter gets some mixed reviews.

But overally, CCleaner is very good.

My sister picked up the graphic novel the other day, and I just checked it out. It shows the scene with the oracle, and then jumps to the next morning where he is leaving with the 300 men. He mentions going north, and his wife says "North- to the Hot Gates. That explains your enthusiasm last night." So, there's a mention to the sex scene I suppose (unless you consider what she says to be something else), but that's it. It isn't actually drawn into the graphic novel.

In short, Senti was right.

I don't think I've ever seen such a vicious use of Flash for a site intro.
I need to take notes...

Also. From thier about page:

Our Strategic Goals
We fully, corporately and individually, strive to be:
100% Mature
100% Tithers
100% Homeowners
100% Debt-Free

How can you tithe 100% and still own a home without being in debt?

So the company (guy?) that does that site's intro seems to have done it for a great many other Christian websites. Nice to know that while the devil has all the best tunes, God gets the best websites...

I suggest checking out the Gospel Mimes in the Website section of this site...
