I lawl at people who try to use trig in triangles that don't have a 90° angle, lawl. and then they"rel ike omg!!! my calculatorz is tezh brokens!!!!!!!11!1

I lawl at people who think trig can only be used in triangles which have a 90° angle, lawl @ toast.

My glasses are 1337. And they don't brake, like, at all; I use them as a windshield most of the time.

Re :Trig

I wish somone would do another AS on it, a more complex one, just to help me, and others along a bit. Also, doesn't trig apply to non 90 degree triangles, using kinematics and the law of cosine?

Re : Glasses

I almost had to have glasses, but my vision was just below the "Glasses Needed" thingy. I still don't understand, in movies and such, why are the geeky ones the people who have braces and glasses? I know at least 20 people with braces/glasses who are perfectly normal(including me :D ).

3D in flash

I wonder if any of you AS guys could explain the complexity of the coding in a game like this . 3D flash games always interest as they seem to be pushing the limits and capabilities of flash itself

3D game

It just uses layers with a locked in relation to the vanishing point of the perspective, so by moving your mouse you move the VP and each of the MC's along the line get updated accordingly, so when you move your mouse things that are behind will be in a different point than the ones in the front making them appear 3D... thats how i would do it anyway..

Tempting.

As for non-90 degree angle finding, it's not needed in Flash other than for the purely mathmatical side of things in my humble opinion. Anyone who can't find a 90 degree angle in Flash should tell me what shape thier Stage is...

I'll be really impressed if the answer was ever irregular hexagon.

Mine's a moebius strip. Is my copy of Flash corrupt?

Re: Glasses

the only reason i would get glasses (apart from the supervision) is if i want a surefire disguise so people wouldn't recognize me in my street clothes when i am not being a superhero.. trust me all you need is glasses and noone will know who you are..

see thats the thing you want to blend in when your in street clothes you dont want to stick out because as soon as you kinda stick out and people get to know you the bad guys might kidnap them and force you into an ethical decision... should i save the city or the hottie from work who i think likes me but i really like her but why would she ever go for a lowly journalist like me.. ohh if only i could tell her the real secret about who i am but ohh shit the bad guy has just blown my cover now cause he knows who i am and now she does and i have to kill the bad guy but his son wil try and kill me and wtf is up with all those batman movies...

well he is an alien you know but i mean thats not to say that aliens cant be free-spirited, i have met plenty of aliens that go crazy over nothing speaking of which it must be carnival in brazil cause my city is going crazy over that shit

You find that something you should be proud of?

At any rate, Toast stinks at math. Badly. And when he gets to that he starts spamming. Toast doesn't believe atan2 (y, x) - .5pi = atan2 (x, -y). Lawl. I figured that out when I was, like, eleven.

Slow Servers

right nwo i'm downaloding an mp3.. at 6kbps.. fuck you slow servers!!!!

An/A

We use 'An' before words begining with a vowel, then how come we say 'An mp3' other than 'A mp3'?

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2007-02-15 12:35:41

It is grammatically correct to say a MP3, but when you pronounce it orally it's 'em pee three', and it is therefore more appropriate to use 'an' in that case. It's because you don't actually say 'mepe three' or 'mpe three' or something.

Both are correct, it doesn't have an actual meaning in the sentance but just for writing down. It is short for saying 'one' infornt of every noun. (Also congrats on typing a whole sentance properly. xD)

American Idol

I tried to watch it, got 15 minutes in, and gave up. Does anyone actually watch this show, or the equivalent overseas?

If you don't know what this is, it's a vocal talent search show thats really popular in the United States, where off-the-street singers get a chance to get tons of publicity on television. Thousands of people try out, and then they whittle them down for an entire season until there's one left.

Hi there!

atan2()
Why do people use it over atan()? Atan works exactly the same way as the inverse tan function works in real maths. Whats with the (y, x)? How the fuck does flash know i want to input x and y coordinates? For all it knows my triangle might be on a slant, then the x and y angles wont be very useful! Stupid function. Anyway, even if my triangle's not on a slant, how does flash know whether i want my x differewnce to be the opposite side or adjacent'? Stupid flash thinks it can guess what 'm thinking!

atan() is where it's at.

Music

If it was made in the past ten years or most people have actually heard of it then I don't listen to it.

In other words, I listen to classic and indie rock. Then again, indie is such a broad term that it includes many things I don't like, but the same goes for classic rock if you think about it. Its easier to just say I hate what people listen today, or most people. Like I hate House, Pop(R&B and Hiphop, in these days), and most Rap. But people rock music today tends to suck as well, such as emo.

Glasses

I had glasses since like the fourth grade and I never ever wore them. I finally started to wear them occasionally in middle school when I got tired of not being able to read the board, but only when I wanted to see something far away. Now I wear contacts and when I take them out I'm damn near blind, except when I first wake up.

Spam

I feel like this thread is starting to get a bit too wild with the postings.
