I really want to see the movie, as it, believe it or not, is exactly what is portrayed by my mind when I learned about those ages with Athens and Sparta. Even the existance of weird monster things has lurked in my mind, especially when my Global teacher is right in front of me teaching me about it, in which my mind brings it to life, and 300 shows that that life is like in my mind. So if you want to know what goes on in my mind, well, 300 says it all. I'm aching to see it!!! >=)

Shit we never did anything like that in school. Well actually back in primary i remember stuff like a little about the pyramids aztecs or whatever. It's a shame because its so intresting to think that all this happened years ago.. I really wish I took history for my GCSEs.

This is something i've been thinking about.. right, stuff like, science, geography and whatever I found bullshit in school I just didn't care. But, theres one thing you get from them which isn't strictly, science, or geography, it teaches you sort of set ideas that you can relate in other parts of you life. A bad example from the top of my head, is say you learn about the clouds cycle and how rain works in geography, that's gunna implement 'cycles' into your head as something important and mandatory, and maybe you'll get a bit of a daily cycle on the go.
A better example would be how flash can do this. Understanding the timeline you can relate it to other stuff.. i dunno, you get the idea.
And even this was probably spurred on by say, thinking about plot points or whatever.
Then think about 'wow, that's pretty interesting, i wonder if like it's all planned, or if it just works'..

it looks good, I'm going to see it to with a bunch of friends and in America you can usually get in to R movies after 15 with out a problem. Or when you fandango it no one cares. Looks very cinematic (god i've used that word alot) Although I didn't think Sin City was that great (ya ya ya I'm an awful person)

Once, the ticket ripper guy told me I couldn't get into the movie because I was 17, but that he'd let me go...and I was like...no, you can see an R movie at 17...but I didn't really make a big deal out of it, cause he must of been pretty dumb...I mean it's his job, you'd think he'd know, and he probably wouldn't want to admit he was wrong even if he realized it...idiot. Why are there people like that?

You could at least not be too lazy to wiki. The numbers are largely estimated to begin with. If I recalled the invaders are a force of 1 million but I can't say I know for a fact. That wouldn't be too exaggerated according to wikipedia's estimates.

Sounds like you guys got the shit stick on movie theaters, clubs and everything else. I've only been stopped and carded once at a movie theater (was for the departed) I'm not 17 and that bitch didn't let me in. I don't go clubbing really (mostly because the bar tenders blow and always card at leaste where I go) but a really good family friend of ours is in the biz I usually just have to mention her name.

Depends on the country. Certain parts of Canada have an 18 year old drinking age... mostly the eastern parts. I'm going up to visit for an orchestra trip for my college... should have a fun time ;D
